  1. Wait—Phantom Erica was Agnes’s storyline. I remember Susan Lucci mentioning in interviews that Agnes introduced the story to her, and Susan was taken aback because it closely resembled her own car accident and trip to the emergency room. As for Palmer’s stolen Nazi art storyline, I can’t remember who wrote it, but it was quickly abandoned. I only recall one scene where he was gazing at a painting with lust in his eyes—and then it was never mentioned again. Well the storyline was intended to bring David and Erica closer together. David is one of her best pairings ever, in my opinion, and I wish Lorraine Broderick had the opportunity to revisit their relationship in 2011.
  2. Martin and Smitty's kids are too old to be Martin and Smitty's kids! Yes, I know they're adopted. But I'm thrown off by this age difference.
  3. 🎭 ❤️
  4. Love this interview with La Lucci. But geez Rosanna is a sneaky sneak for sneaking in that love question at the end. You can tell La Lucci wasn't ready for the question.
  5. I thought Dr. Kinder was a psychiatrist of some sort. He was the one who was prescribing painkillers to Erica which she eventually became addicted to.
  6. I know I'm in the minority but I love Phantom Erica! I loved that storyline so much.
  7. This would make Ashley and Derek very interesting. Explain?
  8. MVJ made Ted a plastic surgeon for a reason, so his profession will likely become relevant at some point. Would he be the first regular character on a soap opera to be a plastic surgeon? I recall that on All My Children, Maria Santos was a neurosurgeon, and David Hayward was a cardiologist.
  9. I forgive you, but I won't forget. 😏
  10. Got it. Thanks for finding and sharing this clip.
  11. I'm confused. So Ted knows Leslie? Didn't they pass each other in the hospital hallway like two weeks ago and he didn't acknowledge her? I'll have to go back and rewatch.
  12. Nico and Cecily were very popular at the time and I too, know someone who named her son after the character of Nico.
  13. This can be easily resolved. Daphnee could deliver lines the way Susan Lucci did as Erica when she said, "my daughter's daughter." 😂 Julie is likely putting out fires every day, which is typical for a "startup" environment, which is exactly what BTG is.
  14. Wasn't this also when Julie Carruthers used a film filter in editing the show, making everyone's eyes hurt? I swear people dropped the show just because their eyes were burning.
  15. Not to nitpick in this unfortunate thread, but according to the Locher Room interview, it was actually Pat Fili-Krushel who asked Wendy to write the proposal. Yeah, I believe Felicia Minei Behr was reporting to Angela Shapiro at the time—FMB was a VP, and Angela was the President. Then, when Brian Frons took over as President, Disney and/or Brian likely saw FMB’s role as redundant and decided to eliminate her position. It’s really unfortunate because FMB was a strong advocate for great storytelling and wouldn’t have harmed the daytime lineup the way Brian Frons did.
  16. I was just thinking about Felicia Minei Behr over the weekend—she was, without a doubt, the best executive producer All My Children ever had. I remember Kelly Ripa mentioning years ago that some of the cast and crew attended FMB’s daughter’s wedding. She also shared a funny story about Susan Lucci ending up at Applebee’s between the wedding and reception—LOL! It really seemed like the cast and crew were a close-knit group during FMB’s time as EP.
  17. Possibly, but Dani seems more unhinged than Erica ever was. To me, they're not the same. As someone mentioned earlier, Dani holding a gun on her ex feels more like something Annie Lavery—or even Greenlee—would do. Greenlee’s rage when she tore the dress off Kendall on the witness stand, exposing her fake pregnancy belly, is the kind of intensity I see in Dani.
  18. I'm a bit confused about Dana aka Leslie's connection with Ted and why Ted doesn't recognize her. But I'm sure that will be explained later. So Maurice Johnson is going to play the twin brother at some point? I can't wait to see that play out and how different or the same the characters are.
  19. I agree. Dani isn't Erica Kane. There's only one. 😁 Yes, I agree, Dani has mental health issues.
  20. I'm not noticing anything major from a production standpoint. Maybe it's because Steve Williford directed two of the three episodes, and I'm already familiar with his work on All My Children. The one thing that stands out to me is how FaceTime scenes are edited—using a side-by-side layout within an iPhone template. It’s not the way I would approach it, but that’s just a matter of personal preference.
  21. If the Dupree family is at the heart of this show and it's expected to last for decades—10, 20, even 30 years—someone must continue the Dupree name. But with only two daughters, how is that possible? There must be a long-lost son out there.
  22. The theme music isn’t very memorable—I’m hoping there’s another version or a bridge section that stands out more. For me, Faces of the Heart remains one of the best soap themes. I also liked All My Children's original theme, as well as the "falling pictures" theme by Billy Barber during the years Felicia Minei Behr executive produced (not the guitar riff version during the Julie Carruthers years).
  23. I like Derek! It will be interesting to see how long "Best of My Love" was cleared for. My guess is one year, after which the music will likely be replaced in the archive due to the high cost of commercial music.
