All this talk of Kendall. How about Erica's favorite daughter, Bianca? Eden needs to make an appearance at some point. In fact, Bianca's new wife, and two daughters should feature as Pine Valley's modern family.

This show is a publicity dream for ABC. Gellar and Lucci reunited. Will they or won't they get along? Add in Kelly and Mark as their "bosses" and Eva La Rue who had success on CSI and is friendly with everyone.

Wow. Amazing scenes. Great performance by Susan Lucci. I wonder if this episode was on her Emmy reel? Anyway, those scenes highlight the abandonment complex that Erica suffered which is at the core of her character.

I'm not a fan of SMG. She comes off as stuck up. But she's a "big name" and unfortunately AM is not.

Please no Zach and Kendall on Pine Valley. AM can join the show but only as Waitress #3.

Wow, so YR was still using cue cards around 2012-2013? That's still fairly recent. I know daytime work is tough, but these actors making above average wages should be required to memorize their lines.

I found it funny that Francesca totally "outed" Ruth Warrick for relying on the teleprompter, although this was largely known by everyone.

A good interview. Loved hearing FJ's perspective of the show from acting, directing, and producing. The story JB tells of David Canary having Alzheimer's is heartbreaking. ETA: Francesca James is sharp as a tack. She should still be working, if she wants to. I also loved hearing about her goals as EP: winning a Best Show Emmy and getting an Emmy for La Lucci!

I don't know where this Kassie DePaiva rumor came from. There is no way she is joining Pine Valley. No disrespect to her, but why would they cast Kassie DePaiva when there are hundreds of other actresses with more notoriety and primetime credentials? The way I see it, Susan Lucci, Eva La Rue, and Sarah Michelle Gellar are the only actors (besides Kelly and Mark) who are going to have any on-screen involvement in this spinoff. The other castmembers will all be newbies or actors with some primetime experience. And maybe Chrishell Stause or Justin Bruening will make a guest appearance at some point. But I highly doubt Kassie DePaiva is on anyone's consideration list.

Agree. I have witnessed this type of grief IRL. It's hard to watch because it's so raw.

Or maybe it's the Kendall murder mystery that kicks off the series! Yay! Bianca is the only Erica Kane spawn that matters.

SMG's projects in the last 10 years have done poorly. Pine Valley is going to be her best opportunity to regain some of the visibility she has lost.

I prefer SMG's Kendall. But overall, I'm not a SMG fan. There's something about her acting that feels inauthentic. Also, SMG carries herself with a holier-than-thou attitude (particularly apparent during TV interviews) that has always rubbed me the wrong way.

An evasive answer from SMG. She'll definitely be playing Kendall. Sorry @AllMyDaysatGH. Maybe AM can play Waitress #1 at the Goal Post.
