I have not watched a single episode of this show and yet I was compelled to watch the last scene of last night's episode because Twitter was in a tizzy.

Oh yes. The fake Silver Kane. I remember when Silver aka Connie Wilkes sabotaged a pair of Erica's high heels, hoping Erica would fall down the steps of The Met. But at the last minute, Erica decided to wear another pair of shoes.

Looking forward to this reunion. Shot over two days? Sounds like it could be a good one.

I didn't realize Lynne Thigpen appeared on the show twice as two different characters. We've seen reunions with Erica and her men a few different times (2x on Oprah). Wouldn't it be great to have a reunion with Erica and all her female rivals? I would book La Lucci, Julia Barr, Kate Collins, Genie Francis, Susan Pratt, Eva La Rue, and Karen Lynn Gorney.

Unfortunately for Julia Barr, All My Children has produced a lot of stars and she gets lost in the shuffle and isn't top of mind when reunions are organized. Not to say she isn't important to the show's history, because she absolutely is. She is just competing with other castmembers: - La Lucci is synonymous with AMC and soaps, so she'll always be part of any reunion - Kelly Ripa is an alum who is highly visible because of her talk show (and is probably the wealthiest) so she'll be included in any reunions, as long as she's willing and available - Mark Consuelos is attached to his wife's hip, so he fills another seat - Debbi Morgan and Darnell Williams played the most iconic Black supercouple so they will get asked to participate in most reunions - Then there are other vets like Taylor Miller, Peter Bergman, Kim Delaney, and Laurence Lau who will get asked because of nostalgia - Finally, to round out any reunion, next-gen stars like Cameron Mathison, Josh Duhamel, Eden Riegel, etc. will get asked AMC had so many great characters played by some very charismatic performers, so it's hard to choose whom to include in these reunions.

The reunion was too short, especially with that many participants. It was pre-taped so everything had to be edited down. I'm sure there was content to fill the entire hour.

Love seeing La Lucci on Live. Is Regis making a special appearance from heaven?

Sounds like she was a fan in the 70s, so my guess is the Erica antics resonated with her.

I remember this one so well. I wish the cast got up there, and not just the producers. In fact, every year after this the whole cast and crew went up there. This was also the night that La Lucci lost to Slezak and everyone in attendance gave Susan a standing ovation. Ahhhhhhhh.

You're right. There was another actor in the role before MS. He was kinda bland and the character had no direction. When MS took over the role, that's when Kinder turned evil.

What you think of Dr. Jonathan Kinder? I liked his character and I always thought Dr. David Hayward was an offshoot of Kinder. I believe Lorraine Broderick created both characters. Here's Dr. Kinder with Skye:

I love Erica's scenes here at the start of her "return to modeling" storyline. I remember Agnes Nixon was quoted saying she always intended for Erica to return to modeling. I wish this return had lasted a bit longer before Erica was injured and turned to painkillers.

I don't know how I feel about this. I imagine myself frolicking in a meadow somewhere. Actually, it reminds me of a church hymn.

Also a shame that Erica miscarried and Dimitri-Erica didn't have a child of their own. A Kane-Marrick spawn would have provided years of story. Instead, we got fetus boy

I liked Trevor. But the character left a bad taste in my mouth when he ended up forgiving Janet (Jane Cox) for her past misdeeds, falling in love with her, and MARRYING her. Ugh. I could not stand the Dillon family as the Brady Bunch. Made zero sense. Like I've said numerous times on this board, I'm all for redeeming characters and second chances, but I could not accept the fact that Trevor married the reformed psycho bitch.
