  1. The drop in quality happened when JHC took over and mis-managed the show. At the end of its life, All My Children was like a poorly run factory manufacturing products sans quality control. OMG, ya'll need a cold shower. LOL. Definitely not Lord.
  2. The music at the end of this clip gives me chills! In sync right when "Maureen" turns around. This was when the show still put a lot of attention to post-production and music scoring. It got really lazy under JHC.
  3. Oh, I was thinking the same thing! I wish someone would arrange that interview!
  4. Oh I can't wait to watch this! ETA: Lorraine messes up some of the details. She said that Kevin Sheffield was Palmer's nephew. She also said that Kevin's mother was played by Marj Dusay. I love when she said that she would never kill Darnell 😂
  5. Wait, Gil falls off a tightrope? 🙄 Yes, I recently watched this. It's a great interview.
  6. That's from 2014. This clip is also from 2014. It's hard to watch. Do you have a link to this?
  7. This video clip of Kelly and Mark is kinda cheesy, but credit to them for participating. Agnes was in poor health at the very end, but she was always willing to talk about her Children.
  8. LOL! Leave Ruth alone! You try needlepointing and reading a teleprompter at the same time!
  9. Ah ok. Such a shame. Tom was a good guy. I thought my ears were deceiving me but the record that DJ Jesse is spinning in this clip is "Major Tom" by singer Peter Schilling. 4, 3, 2, 1..... I love the 80s! I can't believe All My Children was able to get clearance for this song. They probably could never rebroadcast this episode though.
  10. Can anyone elaborate on the storyline involving Brooke, Tom, and his best friend Gil? Gil had attempted to rape Brooke. How did this storyline come about? Seems very plot driven. Was this story meant to create some conflict in the Cudahy marriage?
  11. I have some ideas too. I wish Agnes Nixon was still alive. It would be great to get her own point of view on Mona's family.
  12. Interesting. I never paid attention to the locket. Watching it on YouTube, it's hard to decipher the initials since the video quality is downgraded. Susan references Diana Blaine? Was that supposed to be Goldie? I thought Susan was actually referring to an actress who played Goldie, which I guess doesn't make sense.
  13. What made nurse Caroline a schemer?
  14. Yeah, Phoebe was so proud that the English family was a founding family of Pine Valley. It would have been great to bring more English characters to the canvas. OMG, I have vented here so many times about not knowing Mona's maiden name. And it drove me crazy that Mona herself referred to Erica and her daughters as "Kane" women (that mirror scene right before Erica's wedding to Dimitri). Yeah, I understand that we're talking about THE ERICA KANE, so any other name attached to her would be a little jarring, but Mona hated Eric so much, that it didn't make sense that she would be so proud to be a "Kane." Also, I think the show missed an opportunity to bring Mark back into the fold once Mona passed away. Mark and Erica had a very special brother-sister bond and I felt she needed a relationship like that to help as a sounding board.
  15. I wish in its later years, All My Children rebuilt some of its legacy families like the Tylers and Kennicotts. I know these families ran its course by the late 80s, but it would have been nice to re-introduce these families. My last memory of a Kennicott was of that very bland Katie who had a brief fling with Joey (Jake) Martin. She was all sorts of awful. The show made an attempt to revitalize the Cortlandts with the addition of Caleb, but Michael Nouri lacked charisma and his character failed to become a romantic partner for Erica. I said this previously, but it would have been nice if Mona had siblings, so that Erica would have some family outside of her bratty children and children's children.
  16. There was a Betsy Kennicott but in looking at some online recaps, Betsy was mostly involved in the Wally-Devon storyline. I don't see any mention of Betsy and Frank, although they probably crossed paths. The only time I remember watching Betsy was when she was trying to convince Sybil to leave town and leave Nina and Cliff alone.
  17. 😳 I forgot that Liza was horny for Cliff. It would have been great to see Marcy Walker play this storyline.
  18. OMG Christine Baranski is TERRIBLE in this episode. 😆
  19. You're right. He's about 5 years off. I guess by the time Tad was "47" in 2011, he had been through SOOOOOOO much drama, it was hard to believe he was only in his 40s.
  20. This clips makes me laugh because Tad says he is 19. This is in 1983, which means when All My Children went off the air, Tad was only 47! MEK looked good in 2011, but not youthful. I don't remember that discussed in the press but Ray acted very well played in the episode.
  21. Today marks the 1-year anniversary of this historic moment in sports 👏🏼🙌🏼 🇷🇸
  22. OMG, the cold open with the Lezbo jokes by Phil Hartman. 😵 This was a star-studded SNL cast!
  23. Gosh, I just love Erica so much! This clip is vintage Erica.
