  1. I'm ok with characters not getting an exit. Like with Brooke in 2010, for example, instead of creating a backstory for the character that she had been traveling overseas, the show could have just re-introduced her as if she had been living in Pine Valley all that time she wasn't onscreen. In theory, Pine Valley has a population of what, 25K or so, residents?
  2. Really? This is the reason the writers dropped it? Weird. Agree. It's not like Willey was ever overweight any way.
  3. All My Children kicked off a storyline with Jack having a heart condition. I still remember the one and only scene this was mentioned when Dr. Joe gave him the bad news. The storyline was dropped and we never heard about Jack's heart after that (except for the numerous times thereafter Erica shattered it into a million pieces).
  4. They definitely need La Lucci for this show, but you have a valid point. On the other hand, 10 years ago, Betty White was handed one series after another in her late 80s. La Lucci looks damn good for someone in her 70s. Hide your 25-year-old children from All My Shadows.
  5. This is really interesting that the Kingsleys returned in 1988. Most of the soap sites don't even acknowledge or document their return in 1988. I too am curious about the storyline the writers had lined up.
  6. Oh I love this. Thank you for finding and sharing. ETA: The La Lucci interview in the AM Chicago episode, I believe, is the interview that Susan referenced in 2011 during Oprah's final season where Susan said it was the best interview she had ever done at the time.
  7. I really liked Gloria and I thought Teresa Black grew leaps and bounds as an actress. She really killed it during the Adam/Stuart/Gloria triangle and I thought for sure she would get a supporting actress Emmy nomination. For a character who had no ties to any families, she lasted a long time.
  8. Erica introducing Bianca's nanny to Mona Erica: Mother, this is Judith Allen. Judith, this is my mother, Mrs. Tyler Judith: A pleasure to meet you. Erica: I feel like she's my nanny too. Mona: That would be quite a challenge.
  9. La Lucci herself answers your question @allmc2008 Cued at 5:49.
  10. Susan Lucci interview on StarsInTheHouse.com
  11. Donna was a whore. Christian Slater was also in this episode's credits.
  12. Based on reports, it sounds like Andrew Stearn is the driving force behind this revival. I suspect getting Kelly and Mark involved is part of the strategy to get visibility on the project and to get a series pick-up.
  13. Wow what a gem of a clip. Thanks for sharing. I didn't know Phoebe paid a visit to Corinth.
  14. Interesting. Originally, Agnes meant for Pine Valley, USA to be representative of every town in America, even though in her bible she did model it after the mainline of the Philadelphia Main Line. My first recollection of the show verbally mentioning Pine Valley as a town in Pennsylvania was in the early 90s.
  15. Kelly's wheels are turning when Ralph says Cobra Kai is a karate soap opera. Cobra Kai is a great example of taking existing source material and using it in a way to create new stories for a sequel while still paying homage to the original.
  16. Thanks for sharing. Brings back fond memories. I think the show actually played this unedited version during one of the end-of-year episodes where they rolled the full show credits (which included all crew members and backstage staff).
  17. Oh nice!!!!!!! Wish I got to see it!
  18. Happy Birthday Susan Lucci! Love you and Erica Kane!
  19. 9pm. I could also see this going on Disney+ if ABC runs out of room on their primetime schedule. Or it could land on Hulu, now that Disney has controlling stake (ironic, given that was the home of the 2013 reboot.)
  20. Wet blanket! But yes, you are correct. These vets and their characters can’t keep going on in perpetuity, especially in a sequel format (maybe in a reboot). We have to pray the stories are good because that is key to getting the show picked up and for it to succeed in primetime. Finally, Susan Lucci needs Special Guest Star billing a la Heather Locklear.
