I agree. And isn't it funny how many of these folks who said Biden was SO old and SO frail and that he should drop out of the race "for the good of the country" are perfectly fine with him remaining in the WH until after the election? Why wait until January for Biden to go? Why not invoke the 25th Amendment and have him replaced immediately? You say he isn't up to another grueling election or another four years in the WH, but he IS up to remaining in charge until then? Make THAT make sense for me, people. No, the GOP, with ample help from the MSM, threw out the bait; and the Democrats TOOK the bait, like we always do. And now the Democrats can't understand why the GOP and the media won't do the same to Trump, lol? On the one hand, it's shameful how we seem to have moved on from Biden so quickly. But, on the other hand, maybe that's a good thing for him and for his family, because at least they've left him the hell alone.

The thing is, reporters who attended the conference didn't INSIST that he answer their questions, not even after he didn't answer them the first time. You're journalists! It's your job to hold people's feet to the fire when necessary! I mean, didn't those nincompoops learn anything from Mike Wallace?

In a way, I feel sorry for Donald Trump. Make no mistake: primordial ooze has more character than that man ever had or ever will. But he is clearly not well; and instead of admitting that and intervening, his family, his business associates, his campaign team, the GOP and the MSM are all making a lousy buck off him instead. I realize that that's his karma but no one, not even a POS like Donald Trump, deserves to be exploited like that, especially if it's at our expense.

At the end of the day, that's what you want to hear from politicians: not that this country is in trouble and we're on the verge of total destruction; but that this country is good, because WE are good, and we all are in this together. In other words, you want to give people HOPE. That's what sold America on Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, and (God willing) it'll sell them on Kamala Harris, too. As I keep saying, there will come a day when the Democratic Party must answer for how they forced Joe Biden out of the race; but for now, I'm glad to see how Harris, along with Tim Walz, has met the occasion. In a very short period of time, she's convinced a lot of people that this nation might be in very capable hands with her.

Frank Runyeon looks so different here compared to when he was paired with Meg Ryan. Here, he almost looks...older, lol.

The media is so afraid to appear biased that they have to "both sides" everything and allow lunatics like Donald Trump to ramble on unchecked. Yet, they let their bias show the SECOND they hold Democrats to a double standard. Then, when someone gets enough nerve to call the media out on their [!@#$%^&*], what do they do? They get defensive, say it's their job to report the news and not be arbiters of facts; then, they lecture us on what their job is, even though we know damn well what it is. It's appalling how "in the tank" the media is for the GOP. They actually believe that if they kiss Trump's ring enough, he'll spare them if/when he gets to realize his totalitarian fantasies. In a way, you almost WANT him to win again, if only to see the media's reaction when they realize they've been played.

Trump referred to "transgender world" in his...whatever that was. I was just being cute. As usual, Trump goes entirely off the rails and all the press writes or talks about is that he challenged Harris to three debates. Nothing at all about the...whatever that was. Someone needs to educate the journalists on what journalism is and is not.

GOAL!! But seriously. We've tried taking the high road, but it just plain wasn't working. If anything, it was hobbling the Democratic Party, making it appear weak and ineffectual to the rest of the country; and I'm sorry, but I think we got enough of that bullshit in the '80's with Walter Mondale and Michael Dukakis.

I agree. They want one thing and one thing only (besides attention): to watch the country burn. And they'll keep moving the goalposts for the Democrats until that happens, too. Meanwhile, CNN's Jake Tapper is wondering what happened to "When they go low, we go high." Apparently, the same man whom Jill Biden had to shut down for bringing up her husband's "gaffes" while saying nothing about Trump's outright lies thinks Gov. Walz was being gross about his "couch joke" at JD Vance's expense. (Seriously, the more Americans rally behind Harris and Walz, the harder it is for the media to contain their frustration, lol).

Should we care? I mean, all he's gonna do is unleash more "American Carnage" [!@#$%^&*] and spread more lies about Harris and Walz. (I am so, so tired of that man. I wish he would just disappear.)

But DOC didn't join DAYS' writing staff immediately, right? There was some time in between his getting the axe at one show and getting picked up at another; and in that same period of time, Chris Van Etten was also fired and then re-hired as "breakdown writer." Yet, Frank couldn't do the same for CVE's former collaborator? Again, unless DOC got the offer to return and said no thanks, it doesn't smell right.

I've seen that look and heard that tone so many times from my own mother (a Black woman). All she needed to do was quote Millie Jackson - "Go! Follow your rainbow!" - and I would've been GONE.

First of all, never admit to the press that you're basically an alcoholic. Second, Vance's statement, challenging Harris to a debate but NOT Walz (and hiding behind pretty flimsy excuses), is a clear signal that either 1) Vance is too scared to debate with Walz and thinks he has a better shot at debating with Harris (which would make no sense to do, since he's not running for president "...or is he?") OR 2) Trump himself is not up to debating anyone, let alone his challenger for the presidency. Of course, both things could be true as well. At the risk of sounding like a "Maury" guest who's desperate to prove Trayquon is little Shamayla's father: look at his ear! Does that look like an ear that was grazed by a bullet or by shrapnel? I realize some people heal quicker than others, but that quick with no residual scars? I don't think so.

All JDV had to say was, "What makes me happy? My wife and my kids." Five words. Just five [!@#$%^&*] words, and he couldn't say it. What. A. Douche. I'm sure the GOP will claim that that episode with the heat-exhausted rallygoer was staged. To which, *I* say, "Prove to us that Trump's assassination attempt wasn't!" I think I read somewhere that his campaign team has closed most of their field offices? A sure sign that Team Trump is broke. PLUS, I'm not so sure that his staying home isn't related to what are clearly signs of mental/psychological and cognitive decline. I haven't had much to do these days, so I've been checking out social media more (I know, lol) and I see there's one account on X called "Anonymous" that's predicting that Trump will drop out. I don't think he will - he's much too narcissistic - but I really wish he would, lol.

People say dumb [!@#$%^&*] when they're [!@#$%^&*]-faced, but "Brad Hollister is the perfect lover"? Nobody gets THAT drunk. I don't know WHAT the EP at the time (either Joe Rothenberger or Fred(die) Bartholomew) was thinking. It's one thing if Brad had been written as this nerdy, loner type who was infatuated with Dee - someone he could have regarded as beautiful and unattainable - but they tried to make it seem like all the women in Oakdale, including poor Melinda, was just crazy about his junk.
