  1. I'm seriously putting in a call to the NAACP. The show did everything short of putting Abe in a [!@#$%^&*] dress and changing his name to "Madea."
  2. What a marvelous scene to watch. So much history, so many mixed emotions. Cora grieving over her decision to do what she believed was right for her sons...and poor "Christian" being reduced to tears, as he's reliving what probably was the worst, most pivotal moment of his life. And it's long enough that EB and Dorothy McGuire are allowed to ACT and not just regurgitate plot. Thank you, @BoldRestless, for sharing.
  3. IDK why, @DRW50, because you're not wrong...but the way you put that just cracks me up, lol.
  4. "Tonight's Episode: 'With Six You Get Murder'."
  5. That's another thing about so-called progressives: they keep moving the damn goalposts, so that nothing the Democrats do is ever enough. Even if Kamala Harris had publicly denounced Joe Biden's stance on the Gaza crisis and called for an arms embargo against Israel, I guarantee many on the far-left still would've yabbut'ed her.
  6. I'm afraid so, lol. Believe it or not, though, I like Jeff Kober. It's just a shame that GH saddled him with a character who has LONG outlived his usefulness.
  7. I still can't believe Daniel Benzali and the dude who played my favorite "Hill Street Blues" character, Sgt. Belker, were once on this show (and wasted in thankless, short-term roles as Sonny's Villains of the Month). JFP tried SO hard to be Steven Bochco in a skirt, lol.
  8. He'll always be Dodger from "China Beach" to me, lol.
  9. Frankly, @carolineg, I'd rather watch your husband than watch any more of Sidwell - and I don't even know your husband, lol!
  10. I'm just wondering how many more characters will Sidwell now bring along with him:
  11. Yeah, Johnny Lee DiMera looks REALLY happy to have a baby, lol. And I'm sorry, but Maggie Horton asking whether someone's going to do the do will NEVER be okay.
  12. It doesn't look "cheap," but it doesn't look distinctive either. It looks pretty much like all soaps and other shows do these days, quite frankly, which is good or bad, depending upon how you feel about such things. (Personally, I just want the acting and writing to be good).
  13. What an odd-ass motivation to kill someone, lol!
  14. Poor Jerry O'Connell. First, "The Talk" gets cancelled; and now, it's his OTHER gig, lol.
  15. They're taking a tremendous risk in reminding peeps of when SNL didn't suck as much.
  16. I agree!! At this point, they might as well pretend all that "synergy" crap never happened and that Skye has been Adam and Althea Chandler's daughter all along.
  17. Pretty much. And because we live in very scary times, with food and gas prices continuing to rise, more and more workers will adopt MAGA philosophy simply in order to keep their jobs. Just like Scarlett O'Hara traded with the Carpetbaggers so she could keep Tara and keep herself from going hungry.
  18. Yup! It's kind of like what George's favorite bootblack, Otis, says in an episode of "The Jeffersons": "You've got all these Black people talking about going back to Africa, but they wouldn't last five minutes over there!" That's how I feel about people on social media who try and shame others into marching and protesting. Those numb-nuts will never walk any of their talk, because they'd be the first to surrender or run away as soon as even one cop showed up, and they know it. By the way, @janea4old, thank you for your contributions - not just to this thread and to SON, but for the contributions you made BITD and continue to make in the name of advancing social justice.
  19. This is why I've begun carrying my birth certificates - both the one issued by the hospital (complete with my footprints) and the one issued by the state - whenever I'm out in public. I've also alerted my mom to contact one of my closest friends, who is an attorney, and who would help her get in touch with the right people, should the need arise.
  20. IMHO, "activists" on the left or far-left are a big reason why we are where we are today. They hold the Democratic Party hostage, then blame the party when we fail to win elections. Nah, boo. We can't win, because y'all chase away the centrists, moderates and Independents who'd otherwise help us if you didn't look so ridiculous.
  21. Frankly, if the Democratic Party has become "toxic," then people like Fetterman and AOC are to blame.
  22. Speaking of Skye, I'm still not clear whether she, in fact, is a real Quartermaine.
  23. No, they haven't, lol. I still enjoy "Hart to Hart" and the first couple of seasons of "Charlie's Angels" whenever I find them; but, no, they don't hold up well at all.
  24. I figured as much when she showed up on an episode of "Family Feud" dressed like a gypsy.
