The facts, I am sorry to say, speak for themselves: for eight years, we had Barack Obama making all the right arguments, and what was the response? A Congress who was openly hostile and treasonous; and a constituency filled with idiots who STILL believe he's a Kenyan-born Muslim. There are days when I believe there should never be another non-Caucasian president, or another candidate who isn't white, Christian and male. We just don't deserve to be so progressive.

Yep. I couldn't see it before, but I do now: a lot of the MSM worked their asses off to help Trump become president, because, IMO, eight years of a scandal-free (and, in their eyes, boring) Obama administration was more than they could handle. They NEEDED some good, gossipy [!@#$%^&*] to keep their audiences and readerships from deserting them. Enter Trump, the "star" and EP of a hit "reality" series, and the GOP, who were ready, willing and able to deliver the meat necessary to keep their hungry selves fed. Factor in the media's long-simmering hatred of the Clintons, a couple who's long been able to dodge whatever boulders they've lobbed at them, and you have part of the recipe for the shitstorm that is unfolding at the moment for them.

I've said it before, I'm saying it again, and I'll keep on saying it past 11/6: if I can get off MY ass for once and vote, then you have no excuses not to do the same. None. One of the arguments that I hate most from Conservatives: "If we allow gender-neutral bathroom facilities in our nation's schools (and elsewhere), girls are more likely to be sexually assaulted!" First of all, do they even know or care how low the chances of that happening are?
