  1. Beverly Hills was such a fail this season because both "big" storylines were centered around things that should've never been brought up on camera if they were genuinely such a big deal. The whole Munchausen thing started because Rinna felt compelled to admit, on camera, that she engaged in an off-camera conversation with someone who is not a castmember and she felt sh*tty about it. Firstly, her acting when she said that was off. I've seen her pull off more convincing performances as MP's Taylor and DAYS' Billie. It was obvious she was bringing it up on camera for a reason/storyline purposes. It reminded me of when they try to organically introduce a new castmember (i.e. OC's Tamra and her poor acting, inviting her new client, Heather Dubrow, into the group). Then, there was the "B" story of Eileen offended by Vanderpump's questioning. Been over this one already. Again, keep it off-camera or don't make a big deal of it if you don't want discussion of The Affair blown up. It's crappy because we all come from a soap opera fan base, so we *want* to root for Eileen and Rinna, but they were handed bad storylines. "I won't stick to your script," is Eileen's tagline. Clearly, she did. And it was a poorly written one. Meanwhile, each and every season, Kyle Richards comes off smelling like a rose. Even when she poorly acted bringing up Mohamed's children at the dinner table (again, a Tamra bad-acting moment, for reference). And she got a free pass talking ish about Camille in season one. Who's the true numero uno at manipulating the audience....?
  2. :) Looking forward to it. They really know how to alienate their star player. LVP is so over this show and putting up with the B.S. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice.... Beverly Hills' finale episode felt weird and disjointed with their timeline. Granted, they wanted to capitalize on the breakup of YoLemony & My Love, but they clearly scrambled to grab a couple ladies to film a couple scenes in December, months after they already wrapped (meanwhile, I wish we could've seen LVP's home decorated for Christmas!). Their season finale party at Kyle's Palm Springs home fell flat. Rinna looked dumb backtracking with Yolanda and wimping out with Kim. The two tiny bright spots was Faye's appearance and LVP's little apology to her, as well as the final shot with Kyle and former "enemy" Camille dancing by the pool. That's what made this franchise fun, was the original cast's genuine friendships they built. Back to the disjointed timeline, they ended the episode with YoLemony & My Love at their former home (RIP Yolanda's Fridge!), two months prior, still "happy." Okay.
  3. We checked out the first 10 minutes last night; will probably watch the rest of the episode, but by golly, the redhead on valium is ridiculous! It was both hilarious and cringe-worthy. First of all, her voice.... her friend's, too. And then that one line, "She farts on command and I dance in it." These two winos are so ridiculous I don't know if I hate it or love it because it's so stupid. Which was my overall feeling for Potomac, too. Haven't seen the rest of the ladies other than the two who don't know the difference between pushing or pulling a door. The previews definitely looks better than Potomac, and hope it's not just a bunch of etiquette lessons or who's more Texan versus the other the way Potomac turned out to be. The Potomac reunion showed what a bunch of posers each and every one of them are. Karen and her lousy charities, Katie's non-charities, Robyn the dragqueen getting all hot 'n bothered for no reason, Gizelle basically just a hater of younger, pretty girls, Charriissee sitting there like a couch stain.... I think after all is said and done, the only decent one who isn't trying to be something she's not is Spring-chicken Ashley. Her exchange in the park with Katie about Robyn's finances was petty, but producer-driven so whatevs.

His BFF Andy Cohen also loves to express his love of Nick. I don't know if I'm betraying "my own kind," but I get skeeved out when celebs in their upper 40's talk about their hard-ons for other celebs in their early 20's.
  5. She should've asked Cynthia Watros -- THE WINNER -- to borrow her princess dress...
  6. Agreed with all. It's near impossible to support Eileen in this mess, though this'll never affect her soap career, so she's solid there. LemonLyme dethroning LVP as Top Diva status would be like Beth Chamberlin trying to take Kim Zimmer's GL crown; Rebecca Budig reaching for Susan Lucci's; Arianne Zuker clawing for Deidre Hall's. It ain't happenin'.
  7. Did the NY opening disappear from this page?
  8. Well, I guess there's only so many they can think of, unless the women started getting brutally honest.... "I'm a grifter looking to ride on my rich friends' coattails..." "I'm secretly broke but pretending I'm part of the one-percenters..." "I'm guilty of white collar crimes, but I hope the feds don't watch reality TV!" etc.
  9. Yasss! Love that my Big Apple ladies are returning! Loving the new taglines, but hate they didn't update *everyone* in the opening. P.S. I like the diamonds line for Dorinda, but nobody beats Camille's... (PPS.... I can't stand trying to quote the right person at the right moment on this message board, so pardon the repetitiveness, this message board is acting jenky for me) NeNe's break was definitely needed, for herself, for the group of ladies, and for us viewers. I like the newfound understanding between her and Sheree. They're the OG's and they've got a respect and understanding the others don't share as the originals who made the series the success it is. I hope both are back full-time next season. Loved that Porsha knows she can't mess around with NeNe, Kandi, or Sheree and expect to get away with it. So NeNe all but confirmed what we all suspected in season two.... she did in fact put her hands on Kim Z's neck and try to choke her... off-camera. The advice she was giving Porsha is no doubt the advice she was given by her people, probably around the time after the infamous bus incident of season 3. Those were the days.
  10. Well said.
  11. Eileen's goofball antics about The Affair brings to light something nobody cared about otherwise. I'd sooner like to know the behind-the-scenes gossip of how Guiding Light's Frank Grillo and Wendy Moniz got together while one (Grillo) if not both were married at the time, and rumor has it they were boinking like bunny rabbits in the dressing rooms. But I digress... @Cat, that was my problem too, watching Tuesday's show. It's almost hard to understand what exactly "the soap actresses" are so upset about, especially since Kyle is completely unfazed by what transpired. I get it while watching it, but it's kinda hard to summarize what the actual argument was about. So basically, the soap actresses are mad that Kyle didn't call LVP to task for allegedly trying to pin Kyle's name with Rinna's with the whole Munchausen's speculations. Rinna thought LVP was doing something mischievous, while LVP says that wasn't her intention at all and Rinna misunderstood LVP's questioning about Kyle. Blah blah blah, when it all comes down to it, I'm sure the only thing LVP actually cares about from this whole ordeal is potentially damaging her longtime friendship with Mohammed. I did like that one soundbyte from Rinna saying that basically LVP and Yolanda don't like each other. That's very apparent, and I wonder if it stems solely from the Season Four crap, or from years earlier, pre-Housewives.
  12. Congrats, Vix!!!!!! Hope you have fun and take plenty of pictures. Thanks boo I'll try to take pics!! Sounds fun! Where is she appearing/what is she doing?
  13. I like how the women grouped themselves on the bus... Season 1 vets Lisa V & Kyle, Season 5 soap queens Rinna & Eileen, and Season 6 newbies Kathryn & Erika. It's kind of symbolic of how this trip is going down. The vets stand together, the second-year soap queens are doing all the instigating and whining, and the newbies are watching all the cray cray unfold in bewilderment. In all honesty, all the cattiness and nit-picking from Eileen and Rinna is borderline hard to follow. I'll give them props for trying their darndest, but Kyle ain't poking the big bear known as LVP. All in all, this was some ugly Season 4 crap, and I hope this will wrap up soon. I hate when I no longer enjoy Beverly Hills because it's probably my favorite alongside the original NYC years, but this season has taken a real nosedive. Not sure how our soapy favorites will fare next season. You've pissed off the Queen Bee...
  14. Thanks for posting those Kandi quotes. It boggles my mind that the other three (and Sheree too, I see you trying to backtrack, boo) would defend that man. Okay, so considering that Potomac has a shorter season than others, we stuck with it just to see how it'll end. But I tell ya, hubby and I spent the episode ranking who we hate the most and why. Cchhaarriissee wins as both our No. 1 least-liked. Hubby chose Gizelle second, but I had to go with crusty ol' beaver Karen, who thinks she's such hot ish. Katie is next, because I just cannot STAND the way she talks. Is she on valium? The Spring Chicken (Ashley? I always forget her name) is harmless, but her Daddy Warbucks husband is goofy. Robyn is probably the least worst, but I don't get the dynamic of her non-marriage. It's interesting and non-traditional, that's for sure. I wonder how long they'll stretch out their reunion. I hope it's not 3 parts.
  15. A big THANK YOU to Kandi for saying what I was thinking while watching, that the dude who was threatening to touch Kenya was creepy, threatening, and just wrong to come so aggressively towards a woman, and had it been anyone except Kenya who told him to leave, all the women would've been up in arms. Loved how she called the 3 out on the other couch when they had no witty retort. It's ironic how they'll only retract and admit there was something off with the guy once Kandi says something, but they're defending the dude when it's only Kenya saying something. And Porsha, Kim or whoever mentioning how Kenya was the one who invited the guy into the house... something about their wording made it sound like someone who's defending a rapist. "Oh, but she invited him in to her place, she was asking for it...." No, no, no.
  16. Hearing everybody's take on BH is so interesting. However, I feel that, in spite of the drama, this season has been underwhelming and none of the drama feels organic. EVERYTHING feels very producer-driven. I know this is par for the course with HW shows, but with BH in particular, it feels like everybody has nothing really left to say to each other and so the producers are running around trying to one or another HW up in arms about something. It is very transparent this year. And you can read it on the blogs, especially if LVP calling up the other ladies ahead of filming is true. It feels like "Yawn, ok, let's do something to get this show percolating." The fact is, I couldn't give a sh*t if LVP asked pointed questions about Eileen's marriage -- because it feels like it was only done in order to create some kind of SL. Similarly, Eileen going after LVP for it -- storyline-dictated. Lipsa going after Yol about not coming to Erika's party -- let's create drama where there was absolutely none. The only time people look somewhat shocked (Kyle!) is when Yolanda goes hard and whips out her bag of crazy and throws medical documents at people. I can't take the fake outrage seriously because everybody is doing their bit to "bring the drama." Eileen, Lipsa, LVP, Yol, Brandi... They've run out of ideas and Yolanda's illness has given her a pass, so she cannot be the HW they attack this season. So we are back to the old LVP Master Manipulator story. If people are reacting in defense of LVP it may be more that they are tired of seeing this recycled drama all over again. All of this. This season has felt very producer-driven, and that's why I'm not too mad at Lipsa or Eileen. They look like buffoons, but it looks like desperation on the show's part to have some sort of storyline, no matter how goofy you look. I'm glad someone else mentioned Kathryn's hubby, cuz he's muy guapo! Something about Kathryn reminds me of actress Julianne Phillips (a.k.a. "Frankie" from SISTERS), only with botched up lips. And a penis.
  17. Dang, that's a rough photo they used for Kimberly Bryant. I'm not familiar with her from OC, but that's a hideous photo. I would love for Jill Zarin to come back. She's a horrible person but I love to watch her. Just one more go against Ramona, Bethenny, etc.
  18. Think they're finally ready for Miss Rowell on the ATL...?
  19. Sheree was hilarious! I love that we caught her under-the-breath comments so often. She actually looks a lot better than I thought she would, based on the brief preview clips. They cut away to her a little too often, like they were trying to make it seem like she had beef about someone when she really didn't. And like her season four reunion antics, she is constantly picking at her dress! I've never seen a Housewife adjusting herself on the couch as much as she does, hahaha. Now you know if Ford Focus were putting money in Sheree's son's account, Sheree would be ready & able to make a withdrawal... All in all, the reunion was amusing but nothing epic. Lots of cattiness with Kenya vs. Kim and Kenya vs. Phaedra, but that's Kenya.... I liked Kim's one response to Kenya's comment (was it when they were comparing careers?) and Kim simply replied, "I'll just let social media discuss that one." Well done, Tootie. I wanted Kandi to go in a little harder on Phaedra for her stank comments about Todd, but perhaps there's more to come. Waiting for Miss Linnethia! I hope she and Sheree acknowledge that they're cool now, but flashback to their fabulous showdown from season 4 reunion.
  20. I don't think Beverly Hills has gotten as dark as New Jersey or NYC Season 4 Reunion, but they've got to give up on focusing on: (1) Some "team" of hags trying to take down LVP. It's an instant fail and you instantly fall out of favor with most of the viewers. (2) Yolanda's never-ending journey to wherever her deluded ass is trying to go. Honestly, they could just get rid of Yolanda from the current crop of ladies and see how the remaining six fare next season, alongside a returning favorite (Camille! Faye! etc) or newbie.
  21. Well, I suppose they can't *all* be at the 3rd seat...
  22. The ratings dipped for a couple weeks (1.6 million, usually it is at least 1.8) but it bounced back to 1.7 this past week. As much as I've always loved Beverly Hills, I'm also ready for this season to come to its conclusion. Since this is what they bothered to come up with for storyline (Yolanda's endless *journey*, Eileen needing a sincere apology from Vanderpump, etc.) I don't see it going anywhere else for this particular story arc. Shades of Season Four here.... Bravo should've learned that when you try to get all the girls to gang up on Lisa V, it will inevitably fail as the strong majority of the audience sides with her. Instead, you've alienated the star of the franchise and risked having her jump ship again. I'm with Cat in that I still like Erika. I like her personality and I like her way of thinking and assessing the other women.... she's just aligned herself with the wrong team. Perhaps there is something pervy about her marriage (father/daughter vibe), but if there is, it seems she gets to have her cake and eat it too with her Erika Jayne persona. I hope she's back next season, whether it be for a redemption (a la Camille) or a slaughter (a la... take your pick). I wonder how non-soap fans feel about Eileen. I don't give her a pass, but her plight over Lisa V seems too producer-coaxed to be genuine. Again, if Eileen truly didn't want discussion of her marriage to be a focus, she should've just let the initial conversation with Lisa V slide by the wayside, and Bravo likely would never have aired it, as it would've led to nothing substantial for story.
  23. Oh wow, that was 2004! Time flies.
  24. Good. Forgive me, as I just recently started becoming more interested in politics, but who was that one guy who was running for president maybe 4 years ago, or 8 years ago, and his campaign came to a crashing halt overnight when he gave that goofy overly energetic speech about how "and we're gonna take New Hampshire, and we're gonna take Ohio, and were gonna take South Carolina.... whoo!!!!" or something to that effect.
