  1. I asked/talked to Roger about it and here's what he told me: Music rights was a driving factor behind the DVD effort being scrapped at the time. I have worked with the company since all that on some other projects related to digitizing the P&G archive but there was no discussion of releasing DVDs, just digitizing for the sake of ensuring the history was preserved. When the DVD project ended, multiple record companies were really scrutinizing use of their music in many areas because record sales were down and they wanted $$. P&G didn't have great records, not only of old actor contracts but contracts that supposedly gave them the rights to music, even for the one day use at the time. Music before the late 90s was embedded on the same track as the character audio so there was no extracting it out and replacing it. So several of the episodes I wanted to use were never going to work (Roger Thorpe "Enough is Enough" Hall of Mirrors, for example). I did my best to capture the characters and stories people wanted to see, while not always being able to choose the exact episode that many of us probably would have preferred. The current regime at P&G has been open to preserving history, and understanding how important their shows were to people and how they chronicled parts of America over time. But the last I heard, which was fairly recently, they still weren't interested in another DVD project. They are so far away from having the archive digitized, but my hope is that one day the process will be completed and episodes can be available on sites like Amazon for purchase.
  2. Grigor sucks! Too bad his points don't come off until the hard court season and at the end. He is playing some awful tennis.
  3. Jason Kincaid was an awful Tom. I have no idea whose idea it was to cast him in the role. Shudders at him as Tom. How long did Peter Galman play Tom? He sure still looks good for his age.
  4. I am so sick of these match fixing. These guys need to be banned for life. Kyle Edmund: "I'm not in a relationship"....."I hear they are trouble"
  5. Good news for Kyle too as he faces Nick next round if he wins. Glad Milos is out just because TC is pimping him again. Berdych needs to retire. He's had so many first round loses this year. He has dropped to a new low of #22 in the world. And Dan Evans is back...guess his suspension is over with....
  6. He played 4 straight weeks and then two weeks in Paris.....so he shouldn't be tired? Even the commentators said he looked tired.
  7. Borna 6-1 first set over Sasha.....Sasha still looks like he is out gas physically and mentally.
  8. Graham Winton (Caleb Snyder #2) appeared on last night's episode of 'Elementary' on CBS. Did anyone see it? I missed it!

  10. Andy vs Kyrgios first round next week The draw looks real good for the tourney in England. After the first set Roger hoping and praying that Kyrgios is not on his side of the draw at Wimbledon.
  11. I love golf as well and it has the advantage of having 3 of the 4 majors in the US. Also as @DramatistDreamer pointed it out they have break out stars like Jordan Spieth and other American males. The ratings for the Masters final round this year was....7.9 rating and 13.0 million viewers....a lot higher than any tennis match this year.
  12. Not surprising since the French is the least accessible of all the Grand Slam tournaments to watch. Actually the 1.1 rating and 1.62 million viewers isn't that bad. Last year's final with Nadal vs Anderson at the US Open was much lower and didn't even come close to hitting the million mark in total viewers and had a lower than a 1.0 rating . The problem with tennis is that the media pimps the same players and doesn't feature the up and comers(Thiem wasn't even shown until the fourth round)....and the American males suck so no interest for some to watch. I am surprised the women's wasn't higher with Sloane in the finals. The US Open numbers for the women's matches were higher.
  13. Not a surprise but at least we'll see him at Wimbledon. Can't say that about Roger and Paris. He could have easily lost today. Roger is not that dominate anymore on grass like he use to even though he wins it....imagine Rafa losing the first set of a clay court tournament in the opening round....would never happen.

  15. I thought Murray wasn't playing? And Joker was about to retire it seemed from his exist interview? Looks like a loaded field..... Just read where Joker was a late entry. Joker sure is a drama queen.
  16. Ha! Lawd...
  17. What? This is the first time I am hearing about this....
  18. Ah thanks.....my dad who use to watch tennis during my HS and College years playing days hasn't kept up with it but says something fishy with Nadal winning 11 times....LOLOL
