I watched both and I thought the second one was better "War of the Ewings". I think I have both on dvd.

Anything between 1986-1987 was the best. The show won an Emmy for best show and Marland got ATWT to #2 in the ratings in July of 1987.

I pretty much said that Goutman destroyed ATWT. That he refused to bring back Martha. He alienated vet cast actors and gave us a crappy ending to the show. Leaving fans upset. He just didn't like my comments but he did to those that mentioned nice things about Goutman. Go read it..lol

Well I left my comments on Alan's FB page about this interview with Goutman. Let's just say he didn't like my comments. Others did though.

The end was good. The rest is garbage especially Cin have a spawn... I'm reading rumors that Ben is the hero of the possession storyline. This story was only brought back to pimp Ben and how great he is...what a shame.

The ending was good but I wouldn't have shown the newspaper article or Johnny yelling out marlena had been possessed. Instead we see John with the priest collar and Johnny reading Will script and just say what!!!?? Then the Doug and Marlene scenes. It ruined the "surprise" ending. Yes Deidre reaction sucked!
