The buzz from beyond the gates helped the other shows on CBS. General Hospital is in trouble. They had a big week in secrets coming out, with Elizabeth and Lucky's confrontation with Cyrus, plus Cyrus being shot and killed, yet the ratings didn't move. The Gates is likely to overtake General Hospital in the ratings soon.

That was a surprising cliffhanger, even though we saw bits and pieces in the promos leading up to the show's debut. This episode was better than the previous one.

Steffy had a more impactful reaction on today's episode. Even Finn had a more impactful reaction in telling Steffy about Luna. I thought his acting when finding out about Luna being his daughter wasn't as impactful.
