They don't provide the ranking. I don't have time to look through all the soaps and figure it out, so once I compile that week's ratings, they get sorted in the Excel chart by rating, which creates the ranking, and gets posted here.

If it weren't for the 19 Watergate preemptions from May 17 to August 6, yes Suzanne would have debuted towards the end of July, but her first episode didn't air until August 20.

A RECORD FOR PREEMPTIONS?? On 10/5/79, the 90-minute Another World was preempted by 3 different shows! Password Plus (230-3), NLCS Playoff (3-330, which I guess started in a rain delay), because then a 20-minute Card Sharks aired from 330-350, and then the NLCS Playoff returned at 350. I've seen soaps preempted by two different shows, but this is the first time I can remember seeing 3!

Yes, so that was the only change in 1983-1984? So NBC waited 19 months before replacing Texas/Doctors with SB. I just need a quick guide so I know when to look for debuts/cancellations as I am typing out each week's ratings. Thanks for letting me know. That's good, since that means there are 2 less soaps I have to type out the weekly info for in 1983 than I did in 1982. So 1983 will go a little quicker than 1982 did.
