When that happened, did CBS not switch to another affiliate in the same market (like if FOX took over the CBS affiliate in a city, did CBS then take over the old FOX affiliate?), or did some cities just lose CBS altogether?

UPDATE ON NIELSEN RATINGS POST FROM EARLIER THIS WEEK... "Days" contacted me about the Luminate ratings post showing "Days" in 10th place on the streaming list for the week of June 7-June 13, saying in part "Unfortunately, it is not legitimate and cannot be corroborated nor authenticated by Peacock." The person who sent it to me gets an industry edition of the Luminate email and that is where the graphic first originated. It was sent from a trusted source, so at most, it seems the Luminate email contained an error in its email edition of the chart, which was corrected by the time Variety posted the correct list of shows. Sorry for any confusion!

Most holidays like Labor Day and Thanksgiving Day have a lot of local preemptions, so networks usually list those episodes as "breakouts", which don't count toward the weekly ratings average, since they don't air on the usual (in GH's case, 222) amount of affiliates. For some reason, ABC didn't list the smaller than usual affiliates for the Thanksgiving episode as a breakout, so that brought down the weekly number average for everything (# of affiliates, rating, etc). College Football aired on ABC on Thursday from 11AM-248PM Eastern, followed by a 12-minute Loving. So, best guess is there were some affiliates who usually aired GH at an earlier time, and some that aired a local parade or something in GH's place, and those were the ones who preempted GH that day. I didn't do the stage managers yet, but will probably do them today. I found yesterday that the DGA does a monthly "In Memoriam" (since January 2015). So, checking those, that's where I found out the 1965 director Livia Granito had died at some point in 2022. I also found that stage manager Gary Wente (at Days from 1986-2009) was listed in the April 2024 memorial. Doing some googling, I found he had died by November 2023. Neither Granito nor Wente had any obituary that I could find.

"DAYS" DIRECTORS VIA DGA DIRECTORY: Unlike the WGA directory, which is helpful listing any members who are deceased, it looks like the DGA Directory stops listing members if they are no longer active or let their membership lapse. But, from doing this and additional research, I did update the memorial list with the deaths of Rick Bennewitz, Gordon Rigsby, Randy Robbins, John Sedwick and the first female "Days" director from 1965, Livia Granito. I did confirm that John Desmond was born 12/28/21, but have not found any confirmation of his death, but if he is alive, he would be 102. The other 11 "not listed" directors (Baffico, Brinckerhoff, Denney, Evans, Greenlaw, Inman, Madeiras, Simon, Steinberg, Wyman and Zak) must have let their DGA membership lapse.
