  1. If that's true, then they shouldn't have allowed Jen to come back in the first place. They should have just told her that they were recasting Theresa and gone ahead with someone else in the role. What that tells me was that Albert Alarr was just extremely dishonest and unprofessional with her and this whole thing was poorly planned from the very beginning. Also what they should've done was let Jen Lilley finish out Theresa's initial story arc (whatever it was) and then later if they wanted to bring Theresa back to reintroduce Tate as a SORASed teenager, then they could've recast her at that point. I know that the writer's strike complicated things but that's still not an excuse to screw up things so badly. Also, were they really planning to bring in Tate all along or was that something that they came up with on the fly? I'm still wondering that myself.
  2. Well, damn. Theresa is actually going to prison. I'm kind of surprised she got such a light sentence and that E.J. even agreed to the plea deal but I guess it's better than nothing, especially since she could have very easily gotten away with her latest crimes. I didn't think the prosecution was going to be able to prove that she committed fraud beyond a reasonable doubt anyway, especially with Konstantin now gone, so the kidnapping was going to be the only crime that they could possibly pin on her. I mean, this is probably the first time in her entire life that she's ever been held accountable for anything. I really hope that serving time in prison serves as a massive wakeup call and maybe it might allow her to finally turn things around. I have no faith in Ron but maybe at the very least the new writers might be able to give her some nuance that Ron is obviously incapable of giving her even if she actually never ends up getting redeemed. On the bright side, maybe she will be able to get out just in time for Tate's high school graduation. Let's hope Ron isn't stupid enough to bring her back next year with a stupid WTD storyline and possible custody battle. Theresa needs a long break from this show. Also, this Fiona storyline feels like a massive waste of time to me. If she's not there to try to get a massive payday from Xander's newfound wealth, then what is she even doing on this show? And if this is the absolute best that they can do for Brady, then at this point they need to bring Chloe back to reunite with Brady and she can usher him off the canvas so that they can finally get the HEA that many fans have been waiting decades for.
  3. Nina has a history of being extremely insecure and needy and she's always acting like she desperately wants people to like her and be friends with her. That's just how her character has always been. Also, she has been perfectly fine without Sonny for the entire time that she's been on this show, so I don't get this idea that she and Sonny are somehow this great love story and they need to get back together because somehow Nina makes Sonny "a better man" or whatever crap people like to spew out. I just don't like Nina and Sonny because they are an awful couple and they never should have happened to begin with and even though I could care less for Nina these days, I think she deserves a whole lot better than him. But I don't know if there is a man alive that even exists that can handle a person like Nina, with maybe the exception of Valentin. And we all know how their relationship turned out in the end.
  4. If Maurice is really placing his own value and self-worth on playing Sonny and being the star of the show, then that's something that he needs to deal with and come to terms with. He can't rely on that gig forever because there is going to come a day, (and that day might be soon for all I know), that GH is not going to be on air anymore. What is he going to do then? I think the best thing to do at this point is to gradually phase Sonny out of the show by putting him in a supporting role and then eventually write him out altogether by giving him a HEA with Brenda, (personally I don't think he deserves a HEA of any kind and his story should end with him ultimately getting killed off permanently, but I digress). Besides, I'm sure Nina and Carly will do just fine without him, especially Nina. Nina doesn't even need Sonny to remain relevant as a character anyway.
  5. Okay... so it looks like Theresa plead guilty so she is definitely looking at some sort of prison time. I don't know why Andrew is still hashing out a plea deal; I thought that would've been resolved by now. I don't know if part of that plea deal includes reducing the charges to misdemeanors, but if she actually has plead guilty to felony charges, that is going to go on her permanent record and some places of employment won't even hire her because of her felony record. Depending on the state, she won't be able to legally own a firearm or even vote. So yeah, not looking too good for Theresa right now. Either way, I highly doubt that she's going to want to do anything that's going to land her right back in prison, so hopefully this will scare her straight.
  6. You know, the fact that the show is spending this much time on Theresa's legal woes, even if it's off-screen, tells me that she's more than likely going to spend some time behind bars. How much time though... who knows? If she really was going to get off any legal charges, it would've happened by now. I highly doubt she's going to be tried for the fraud charges, especially with Konstantin now dead, so the prosecutor would be focusing more on the kidnapping charges. Then again, I won't be surprised if she ends up spending several years behind bars either since I don't see the writers ever bringing her back in the near future or ever.
  7. Yeah, Emily was pretty much set up to fail from Day One. I won't blame her if she peaces out and decides to never come back to this hellscape ever again and just sticks to doing voiceover work for video game projects.
  8. And no more multiple characters being played by the same actor over and over again. If you absolutely have to recast a character, bring on someone else who hasn't been on the show yet.
  9. So it looks like Theresa really is going to prison. I highly doubt Andrew is going to be able to get her off those legal charges, especially since I don't see E.J. giving her a plea deal, so the best thing he might be able to do is to have her serve her prison sentence in California. Also I don't think she's going to spend as much time in prison as people think she should; if she does actually go to prison, she might end up staying there for at least five years. Also, what was the point of that anecdote that Andrew mentioned to Theresa about him crashing his dad's car and her taking the blame for it? And after all of that, Theresa is just going to let Tate date Holly now? Wow, talk about sucking out all the drama there... Ron really was burnt out, wasn't he?
  10. I'm actually glad that Theresa didn't get instant forgiveness from Maggie, Alex and Brady and they are all still pretty upset at her. However, I'll admit that I was shocked that she is actually going to turn herself into the police and that's the most mature and selfless thing that she's ever done in this entire stint. I just hope Ron doesn't completely screw it up next week at the last minute. Maybe, just maybe, if Theresa actually goes to prison for a while and pays her dues to society, she could still be somewhat salvaged as a character and she might have a fighting chance of being a viable character again. Even if she and Brady never have a chance in hell of getting back together ever again, maybe if she actually proves that she's truly changed to be a better person, perhaps someday she'll find true, lasting love with a guy that will love her, warts and all.
  11. I hate people that target the elderly and children, and I also hate people that constantly get away with their crimes and never pay for them.
  12. Can I also mention how disgusted I was that Theresa threatened to cry rape again when Xander grabbed her arm and refused to let her go? That woman really isn't human as far as I'm concerned; she has no real feelings for anyone other than herself. So it's not really that surprising that she's deciding to turn herself in not because she actually feels bad for the crimes that she's committed, but because she knows deep down that she has nowhere else to go and she has no choice but to turn herself in. I have a bad feeling that Andrew's probably going to bail her out at the last possible moment. I will never understand why Ron refuses to let anyone suffer any real consequences on this show; it's beyond annoying and irritating.
  13. Nah, whatever story potential Theresa had is pretty much gone at this point. Her life is pretty much over at this point. No one is going to want anything to do with her and if she ends up getting a serious criminal record, hardly any place of employment would even want to hire her. Days is better off ditching her completely and replacing her with Andrew, who is a much more interesting and compelling character than her and with a lot more story potential. I just wish that he wasn't covering for his sister so much. And I also wouldn't blame Tate if he completely washes his hands of his mother and wants nothing to do with her ever again. I hope Brady gets out of his dumb funk soon and realizes that Theresa was definitely not worth throwing away his sobriety for.
  14. I would hope that the writers start cutting out all of the unnecessary deadweight like Leo, Alex, Connie, Stefan, Gwenresa, Ava, and Bonnie. I also hope that they start phasing out the DiMeras by getting rid of Stefan and Kristen and only keep Chad, E.J. and Johnny around regularly. Kristen and Megan, (and probably Dimitri), should only pop in to cause trouble every now and then. They also need to start rebuilding the Hortons by bringing back as many of them as possible including Will, Allie, Jeremy, Nathan, Melissa, J.J., Eli, etc., and if they do bring Jeremy back, I hope they actually acknowledge what Jeremy did to Stephanie all of those years ago and don't try to sweep it under the rug and they also give Jeremy an actual proper redemption arc if that's their intention. The one thing that Ron actually did right was add in more diversity so I would hope the new writers continue that. I would hope that they keep the Carver/Grant/Price clan and they also keep Andrew and all of the other gay characters around. Maybe they could also bring Jada's sister Talia back at some point but it would also be okay if they ultimately didn't do that. I would also hope that the writers leave characters like Everett, Gwen/Theresa and Leo far behind in the past and none of those characters are seen or heard from again.
  15. I'm glad that Theresa was exposed today. Too bad Andrew didn't take the initiative to have her turned in to the proper authorities; I honestly don't know what he was thinking when he demanded that she turn herself in. We all know that woman doesn't have a single hint of decency in her bones and she is nothing more than a greedy, opportunistic coward. I won't be surprised if Xander gets her to confess the rest of her crimes later on. I hope at some point we get to see Brady and Tate react to Theresa's scheme being exposed because otherwise I'm going to feel cheated.
  16. If Trump wins and he succeeds in implementing Project 2025, I don't stand a chance in hell in surviving his regime. I'm not only disabled but I also have some physical and mental health issues that makes fighting a fascist regime extremely unlikely. I hope that if possible I get the opportunity to flee this country to someplace better but I don't think that's possible, especially since there aren't a whole lot of countries that will allow in people with disabilities. I also have a lot of old and sick relatives in my family that I'm worried about potentially leaving behind, and that's the last thing I want to do. I may have to prepare myself for the possibility that I may be shipped off to a concentration camp along with hundreds of thousands of other people and I may die there. Anyways, I wish Kamala Harris the absolute best of luck because she's going to need it especially since she's going to be facing a serious uphill battle for the next couple of months. I hope that I am actually wrong and she actually has what it takes to beat Trump because we need a miracle that will save our democracy from certain doom.
  17. You want to go ahead and laugh at me? Go right ahead. I don't care. Then again, who knows? Maybe in about five years Theresa might come back as an Onlyfans model/social media influencer because that is pretty much the only job that might accept her at this rate, especially with her having burned so many bridges in town. Then again, they do tend to make a crapload of money, so perhaps she might be okay if she works hard and plays her cards right. Also in this line of work, she might even be lucky enough to marry a handsome and wealthy guy who's willing to take care of her and she'll be all set for the rest of her life.
  18. That's how I feel too. If we're so willing and prepared to throw away our freedoms and rights that easily, then maybe we do deserve to live in a fascist dictatorship. Maybe seeing millions of people suffering and dying under the hands of a Cristofascist regime might be the thing that finally opens people's eyes and gets them to see exactly what we have lost. But by then it will be way too late. Then again, maybe Trump's victory is inevitable and it's only a matter of time before our democracy finally crumbles and millions of people are completely wiped out. At least by that point I won't have to worry about continuing to live on this hellish earth anymore. It's going to take a miracle for Kamala Harris to win and I'm not even sure if that's in the cards.
  19. Or maybe Cwickly will have Ben and his spawn killed off in a tragic accident off-screen so that Ciara can start over on a clean slate and she can be free to date Theo. I really can't see Theo wanting to raise Ciara and Ben's kids with her.
  20. I am really shocked that this happened. I didn't think that Biden was actually going to do it and he was just going to keep on ignoring the naysayers, but the fact that he did really doesn't bode well for the Democrats and for us as a whole. My nagging feeling that this is basically a repeat of 2016 is intensifying even more with this latest turn of events and if the Democrats move ahead with Kamala Harris as their nominee, I won't be surprised if Trump wins. Then again, I guess the Democrats are screwed anyway no matter what they do now. Hilary Clinton couldn't even beat Trump back in 2016, so what makes anybody think that Kamala has a chance in hell of beating him? Not to mention that the political climate has gotten so much worse this time around and I can't help but think that there are a whole lot of people that would be more than willing to throw away their freedoms and rights away forever if it meant preventing a Black woman from getting into the Oval Office. I really would advise starting making exit plans as soon as possible because this is only going to get much worse from here and I truly believe that we're seeing our democracy fading and withering away in real time. If you guys still want to vote, that's fine by me, but personally I really don't think it's going to make that much of a difference at this point. Even if Kamala Harris somehow wins the election, and that's a very big IF, there is no guarantee that Donald Trump doesn't have some kind of back-up plan that's going to allow him to steal the presidency from right underneath her nose. One way or another, he's getting back in the White House and everyone needs to start preparing themselves.
  21. A successful businesswoman? Are we SERIOUSLY talking about the same character here? The very same woman who is so lazy and inept with absolutely no desire to work and only wants to marry a rich, wealthy guy so that she can spend all his money on all kinds of junk? The same woman who couldn't even keep her own fashion company going because of bad investments? LOL! Don't make me laugh! I'm not naive, I'm being realistic here. I want better for female characters on this soap but it's pretty obvious that is never going to happen because these writers are just going to keep on perpetuating the same old tired tropes every single time and they are going to keep on writing for a certain subset of viewers that refuse to change with the times. And I highly doubt that's ever going to change. And at this point I'm not even going to hold my breath and wait for it to happen.
  22. Well most if not all characters on this soap have been paired up with somebody in one way or another and if you want to have any kind of longevity or viability on this show, you need to be in a popular pairing or at the very least have some kind of purpose. Otherwise there is no point. This is a show that is based on supercouples. Sami was a schemer too but that didn't exactly stop her from landing two very successful pairings in Lucas and E.J. Maybe if the writers haven't damaged Theresa so much as a character, maybe she might still be viable enough for a pairing but since she really isn't anymore, then the only thing left for her to do is to spend the next 10 to 20 years interfering in her son's relationships just like Kate did and that's basically it for her. There's nothing else for her anyway.
  23. Not for at least another 5 years. I don't want these writers to bring her back unless they have a real plan for her. If they want to continue to write her as a scheming gold-digger, then write her as one. But if they actually want her to be a loving but flawed mom, then write her as one. They need to pick a lane and stick with it because they can't have it both ways. Also, who is she even going to be paired up with? Brady is never going to want anything to do with her and neither will Alex. If Theresa continues to be a gold-digger, I can definitely see her gravitating towards the DiMeras and setting her sights on E.J., but I don't know how long her and E.J. are even going to last.
  24. Oh yeah, she's definitely gone. I really don't think we're going to see either Gwen or Theresa on this show ever again, and thank God for that!
