Speaking of Emily, I really wish that Marie Masters could do a Locher Room. I haven’t seen anything about her in years!

Great pairing that seemed to come out of the blue! Around that time, it felt like Sheffer/Goutman didn’t really know what to do with Emily or Hal. And KM and BH had surprisingly great chemistry. It was good for Emily especially because she was coming off those unsympathetic years with the Tom affair and then running the Intruder and essentially just being a busybody.

I loved Kelley Menighan! She was an MVP, especially during the show’s last few years. I always looked forward to anything she did with MM, BH, CZ, MW, and the two grownup Alisons. Wasn’t a big fan of her with RH’s Paul. I always admired how she balanced being a vixen and being neurotic.

This is misinformation. The AWHP was not even around for the show’s 25th anniversary. The show did consult the AWHP for Victoria Wyndham’s 25th anniversary as Rachel, which occurred nearly a decade later.

Yes, the tack house is widened. It looks like they removed a wall near the kitchen. You can now see a fridge and there’s a rectangular table. I like the Abbott mansion updates minus some of the decor, namely the sofa and some of the other furniture pieces that are in pics floating around. The fireplace portrait is weird. I think the curved arch works in the Abbott house. The ceiling and walls also seem higher. To me, this elevates the class of the set and creates an illusion that it is more spacious. I think the NuOld Newman Ranch has a similar feel.

I saw it and it will definitely take some getting used to, though I like some of the “structural” choices.

Getting rid of kitchen sets (Hughes, also Munson) was rumored to be a CBS network mandate in the mid-2000s. It was about the perception of seeming old-fashioned, but also as a way to save studio space. The Snyder farm kitchen stayed because it was deemed definitive for that family and a place where multiple characters would logically come and go. But it also shrank quite a bit around the end of 2007, along with every other major set. Jack and Carly’s house had a small side kitchen, but it was supposedly hard to shoot in.

Ed could have been a more viable character with a different actor. PS didn’t care to be there after a certain period and it was obvious.

If someone is going to continue to claim that GL was making money in its final years, then please come up with proof. If it was such a huge money maker, then why was it canceled before ATWT? And who cares about Ed Dour Bauer. Peter Simon was low energy and never wanted to be there. All of the other Eds were fat and old. Hardly leading man material.

Hunter Tylo was one of the most fabulous actresses in soaps. Her Taylor defined Bold. Hunter and KKL were yins and yangs. Krissty was a cheap imitater.
