GH: August 2025 Discussion Thread
Any catch Alexa calling Chase 'Jason' as he was leaving Anna? Getting whiplash with what the writers are doing with Liesel ... last week she had an unexpectedly substantive and almost heartfelt encounter with Anna, then she agreed with Jason that she needed to back off a bit and tell the truth about encouraging Britt to steal Rocco. Two days later, Dr. O was a full-on shrew with Dante/Lulu. I don't get it. Part of the appeal of the story was that Dr. O was connecting with Rocco because he's a connection to her Britta. Now it's like, stay away.

Couldn't help but laugh at Alexis grandstanding on the morality of the Davis clan v. Drew. Yes, Alexis, Scout definitely needs to be *guided* by you and Kristina. If Molly was the one pushing this narrative, it'd be plausible since she's unaware of K+A's latest felonies. I think the Cody/Ava story could have legs, especially if we get Tracy in the mix. Forget Cody/Molly - there's zero spark there.

B&B: August 2025 Discussion Thread
Roma is 39, Tanner is 38. B&B manipulated their ages to fit a disgusting narrative. The whole premise was wrong on so many levels, but they are definitely doubling down. I'm sure we'll see a Thanksgiving with SINN hosting Lunacy, Poppy and Sheila!

Absolutely. Grace could've also gone to the Forresters for curing Taylee's BHS. It's revolting. Yeah, it's obvious Brad loathes POC: 1. Grace/Reese 2. Li - unstable, unethical (Finn/Lunacy), indifferent wife/mother and violent (Poppy + Jack separately in her office). Such a disgrace. 3. Poppy - even though same age as Finn, she's portrayed as a predator and, retroactively, as a horrible mother. 4. Lunacy All cast with excellent actors and utterly wasted usually to push a ridiculous plot point further or to fix a messy story that should've never happened. OC, we saw what happened after they finally *elevated* Karla Mosley into a leading lady after years of middling... this is B&B.

GH: July 2025 Discussion Thread
I'm trying to figure out the endgame for Alexis, Kristina, Ric and Ava when Laura discovers the massive theft from Ace's trust. The protecting an adult woman (Molly) from learning her sister is a *Heather* was a ridiculous premise. I do wonder if that was another potential exit route for Ava. The other three can go, but MW needs to stay.

Y&R: July 2025 Spoilers
@DRW50 Chance wasn't offed because of the move to DAYS. Since Sony co-produces both soaps, I'm sure they engineered the switch. The sad thing is Chance's death will have zero emotional impact on the current canvas. Jill isn't there, Billy barely had a relationship with him, Summer is gone. And, Abby/Devon did him dirty. It's complete waste.

That closing shot of KM was magic - the look on her face was so eerily perfect. I do believe KM having so many scenes during the past year with CW/CM benefited her. While Lucas' tunnel vision with Marco (Sidwell) is annoying, what the writers did to Carly is criminal. C'mon she sounds like a psycho in her absolute defense of Sonny. LW is certainly capable of providing nuance to Carly's feeling, but not when the writing is that rigid. They gave her nothing to work with. Is there any reason why they haven't reunited Sonny/Nina after the Nathalia disaster? Unless the plan is for Nina is more Drew H8sex, it seems like it would be a good bridge until they figure out love interests for both characters.

Y&R: July 2025 Spoilers
All this drama about Chancellor Industries - a company that was never shown during the prime Katherine years. I mean who even worked there? I just remember Katherine occasionally claiming she stopped by CI, but it was more of a line to explain Katherine's wealth than a real place. CI was Jill's ultimate win when you think about her story, but Jill is gone and sold the company. Chance was the only *tangible* connection to CI on canvas, which has been driving this whole Dumas/Cane mess. I took 4 years off, but returned when Sharon was acting weird - right before Heather's death. Once that was resolved, I've kinda been streaming out of habit - though I did like the unexpected Nate/Amy/Audra family dynamic. This illogical death gives me a reason to stop again.

Totally. As we know, legends like EB won't be with us forever. We can quibble about his performance, but EB always gives it his all.

I've refused to give B&B my streams during the past month. What's the point of saving Lame if they don't give him a full personality change. Otherwise, we know this show: Daphe returns with a a little extra from Carter. Finn is grieving/secretly healing Lunacy with that hack Li. Both Hope and Steffy turn to Lame for support ... and we're back to serving waffles like its 2010.

I expect Amy will welcome a grandson in February. Damian replying to Cane that he didn't have a son was not accidental. Seeing CK/JM reminds me that a Nick/Lily pairing is worth exploring. I seem to recall a long-ago fantasy episode where Lily/Nick were married ... the chemistry between CK/JM was surprising. Nick can't just pivot between Sharon/Phyllis or nobody. Definitely not here for Lame. Lily was treated like an old matriarch when she was in her 20s + then given teenager children when she was 30. They're not endgame. Treat Cane as a new character + pair BF with someone else - Sally for starters because I truly loathe Billy!

Y&R: July 2025 Spoilers
Agreed on Phyllis as romantic partner, I was thinking co-conspirator. She needs a new one - Billy is way past his expiration. And, yes, to Amanda, but my assumption is that MM isn't staying as a regular. I'd love for her to stay long term.

Y&R: July 2025 Spoilers
Two reasons why I thought Damian was a goner: 1) they really did finish his arc fast - reconciling with Amy and a way-to-fast bond with Nate; 2) Holden - NO has mad chemistry with pretty much everyone - female/male. Plus *Sneaky* Holden really is a protagonist with a blank slate - something the show really needs. Holden can be paired with Claire, Lily, Audra, Phyllis, Chelsea, Sally, etc. I always thought Damian was being brought on as a potential replacement for either Devon/Nate. That said, I would've simply had Damian move back to Chicago with Amy instead of killing him off.

Another example of how Y&R has this rich history when it comes to romance and non-business drama. I'm really glad they reconnected Cricket/Danny - they were always the end-game. It's still odd that Cricket never had children either with Danny/Paul. Such an odd thing.

B&B: July 2025 Spoilers
Agreed. The fact that $B, Will and Wyatt are in the dark only made a bad story even worse. I'd have used the tumor as a catalyst to reset the character as *dark* Liam. I think the challenge would energize SC, who is a solid actor that has been given pathetic material for years.

C'mon when I read the recap where Li was spewing Luna's 'Poppy was a horrible mother' narrative out of literally nowhere, it was obvious where this story was headed.

B&B: July 2025 Spoilers
Odds of Liam dying: zero. No way would Ridge + Brooke go to Italy immediately after Kelly/Beth lost their father. Plus, aren't there rumors that both Liam and Luna appear in September scripts?

Y&R: June 2025 Episode Rankings
It's inevitable that Jill will be back soon. It'd be nice if she could do more than two episodes at a time. The Cane/Chancellor story would feel incomplete without Jill's presence. I'm fine with the Zoom calls every now and then. JW still commands the screen.

B&B: July 2025 Spoilers
Three Shot and go to surgery - my guess: 1) Sheila - survives, of course. Li's patient 2) Remy - survives - Bridget's patient and future squeeze lol 3) Teacher - dies - Grace is distracted over whatever going with her. Her rewrite malpractice with Liam is eventually exposed. Steffy - not shot. No way with JMW this late in pregnancy would they ask her to fall, lie on an operating room table, etc. The thing is: JMW would probably be game because she gives her all.

Y&R: July 2025 Discussion Thread
I'll only focus on some of the things I enjoyed from this past week: 1. Chelsea with Holden/Cane. Not just the chemistry tests, but also the return of Chelsea's brain. I never bought Chelsea as a victim. 2. The format Nice/GC split has provided scene pairings we normally don't get: Adam/Victoria; Nick/Sharon/Lily/Damian; Audra/Damian - those scenes took some interesting turns 3. JR, NO and BF have all been solid additions to the cast. The show needed new blood. 4. Cole deathbed scenes + End of Mary Poppins. It's a bummer because JEP/AH have great chemistry. I knew Cole was doomed in December when Victor accepted him with offer of publishing division. 5. MM. The scenes with Lily, Devon and Phyllis prove just how much she's been missed. I do like the Colin/Amanda history being tied into the story.

B&B: July 2025 Discussion Thread
@ranger1rg @Maxim I thought Dr. B was a cardiologist. Why is she so invested in Liam's case? Reading the recaps, the fact that Dr. B was randomly talking about harassing calls/texts, means we're getting a typical B&B reset of Liam's condition.

ELR has always been a class act. Plus, she knows GH could cast her as a different (new or recast) character down the line.

GH: July 2025 Discussion Thread
Um, was Jenz supposed to be that OTT with Alexis? The histrionics made it seems like a parody. This brings me to the real question: Why didn't they have Natalia knock off Sidwell and take over his *empire*? ELR as a QueenPin against Sonny would've been better than this. ELR says Natalia was irredeemable to the audience. At the same time, Kristina's crimes, eh! If not for KM, I wouldn't have so much as blinked if Kristina went up in flames. Kristina is unlikable.

It's so great to see the Sally calling out Billy. This is something CH excels at - being assertive, but not coming across like a B. Not a fan of this pairing, but CH/JT do have a good rapport. MM's styling has been impeccable. It's interesting seeing Amanda, who's known for being direct and ethical, being a little tripped up. MM has been sorely missed. Audra/Damian - now that was an interesting conversation. Audra thinking she's in total control until Damian turned the tables on her. I kinda wish Diane would flat out say: 'You've got Jack's and my DNA, you really shouldn't be this dense.'

B&B: June 2025 Discussion Thread
The only way *destiny* works is if RM is in the role. After 13 years of TK, both Ridge and Brooke should have moved on. TK and RB certainly do have a good vibe, so why not go for it. $B should be Brooke's main man. Now that doesn't mean, either Brooke/$B can stray. The chemistry and history is there. And, frankly, the way DD has been wasted during the past 5 years is appalling. I'm at the point where I stopped reading full daily recaps. The headline is enough to know I don't care. That bums me out. There is absolutely no reason B&B should be this unwatchable.
