  1. @dragonflies @janea4old I can't recall B&B releasing this many advanced clips - that's at least 4 - in addition to the weekly preview. I'm assuming B&B has research - probably through streaming - that shows viewers tune in for Lunacy. It's the only reason why they'd promote it this much. If it was a dog, they wouldn't call attention to it.
  2. Absolutely! Brad should've simply moved on from Lunacy. There's no point of freeing her, if you're not going to at least make an attempt at redemption or incorporating her into the fold. It happened with Quinn, who committed quite a few felonies before become the Forrester Matriarch. Heck, keep Lunacy in prison and have Poppy/Finn discover that she gave birth to twins - 'Sunny' could've come on with a clean slate and still had Sheila/Finn and all the other drama. It certainly couldn't have been worse than what we've witnessed with the destruction of $B.
  3. I think she was recurring for the one season. The next season was only 10 episodes because of strike and then it was cancelled. So, yeah, it didn't turn out the way she hoped.
  4. In the article about the move to the new studio, it said B&B will resume production August 19th after its summer hiatus. I'm assuming yesterday was last day of production because of the announcement. Does that mean B&B has a full 3 months in the can now? They must have at least 3 weeks past restarting production - maybe even coinciding with the start of the next season - usually mid-September. The could mean JMW has filmed enough to make her on-air absence pretty short. Anyone know how B&B's production schedule works?
  5. Gosh, what a waste with Lunacy. Why have her live with $B, reveal Finn, pardon her, etc What makes this story incredibly hollow is that what Luna is asking isn't unreasonable - to spend time with her cousin father. She's not asking to move in with them. How hard with it be for Finn to throw her a bone by, say, I'll meet you for lunch/coffee once at week at the hospital cafeteria. Lunacy isn't going to hurt Finn. In fact, all her crimes were related to finding her father and it turns out to be someone she's loved her entire life. Instead of course-correcting the nonsense of last summer, Brad somehow found a way to make this worse! That's a skill... Of all the younger actors B&B has cast during the past 5 years, LY has shown the most growth and range. Why get rid of her?
  6. For sure. They could've done a similar set-up - with Devon cheating. I'm assuming they had enough notice that MM could be leaving to have Devon mess up enough to get Hilary to leave. I do think MM has done a solid job with Amanda - as I said before: When Amanda rips someone a new one it comes across as fact, not filth, leaving the receiver with no comeback (see Abby and Sally as recently examples). That's something unique to Amanda and MM's delivery is flawless. I want more of that! Frankly, I just want MM on a regular basis.
  7. Didn't Katie call The Nose out a few weeks ago when Katie overheard her talking to Zende? OC, there was absolutely no follow-up. Maybe it'll come out when Daphne returns to drop a surprise on Carter. We all know Carter talking about having a family to Daphne that night is typical B&B foreshadowing.
  8. Spot on! BM/EH were fantastic together. Eliminating Delia - i'm sure it was attempt to replicate Cassie - was a terrible mistake on so many fronts - it ruined Adam and Chloe for so many years. I'm honestly shocked they didn't have Adam/Chloe hook up with a resulting spawn. JT's Billy is almost like David Tom's sour Billy. Miller captured Billy as Jill's son and the youngest, spoiled playboy Abbott. Honestly, because CH has been in most of his scenes, I haven't FF. That pretty much ended after the *touch grass* scene. Billy needs to disappear for a year, recast younger aka Adam.
  9. Cane is simply not a strong enough character to recast. If it was DG, at least you'd be able to reintroduce the character with years of clips. Unlike, say, when Phyllis was recast, you had a strong, memorable character with ties up and down the canvas. I hope BF is someone else - though the character would need strong GC ties. I only three meaningful routes: a sibling/child - tied to Diane, Lauren/Michael or Devon (via Tucker). If Tucker had an unmentioned son, it would make sense that he'd want to protect Winters and try to get Chancellor back. And also explain the secrecy. The Fosters/Prentiss families have long been forgotten so that would not only create an island, but also not be relevant to most of the existing audience.
  10. Mystery solved: What happened to the curtains Diane replaced at the Abbott family home.
  11. @Paul Raven @ranger1rg Well the average age of Y&R viewer is almost 70yo so these references like the Cola Wars would resonate with the audience. To be fair - Audra and Kyle did talk about social media being the focus of the campaign. I'd rather Audra and Kyle have clothes-less video go viral than to listen to outdated business concepts. As if, Audra could launch even one product without any hires, R&D, etc. Skip this nonsense and hit the sheets.
  12. Thanks for the potential good news! I love MM. As much as I stanned Hilary, I've grown to like Amanda better. Her direct hits - like to Sally or Abby - come off as fact, not filth, so the receiver has to simply take the hit.
  13. Exactly! Instead of insta-love with Electra, this would've been a better choice for $B/Katie's son. Will should be in the LA scene doing scandalous stuff - partying with FC models, one night stands, and more. This causes issues for $B + Katie: let the boy be a man v. my baby! Throw Lunacy in the mix and you actually have something going on.
  14. Well it looks like the Lunacy experiment is coming to an end. They really should make it a murder mystery. The character has been written so poorly that it's impossible to like or even care about her. Who thought that after a serial nutjob gets a pardon and immediately stalking the son of the man who *saved* her would make us root for her? It could've work if they flipped it: Will is intrigued by Luna - 'why did my dad save you?' and been the one to seek her out and made her likeable, etc. Good riddance.
  15. They aren't all bio, but I remember DD saying he treats them as if they were. He seems like a good man.
  16. Brooke clinging on Ridge was cringe. Yet Ridge could've reminded Brooke + Katie that he's with Taylor and happy, so he's just as pathetic. Maybe they are destined. Yet another call out to Liam's mom. By November sweeps unknown twin Linus will be in LA.
  17. With so many reference to Caroline, how many months before 'Linus' appears? We already know *twins* run in the Spencer family. We know very little about Liam's birth, etc. Please tell me it'll never happen. Brad undercutting the significance of Steffy/Hope scenes, which were great, by having Steffy squeal to Taylor less than an hour later. I was initially glad that Carter finally got a leading man story, except they've completely destroyed what made him likeable - from the imaginary House of Forrester, fake LLC papers and, Friday, he blames everything on Hope. Gross. Daphne being certain that Hope would go back to Liam is contrived. She knows nothing about their history. How many times has the Nose met Liam? If, say, Katie, Ridge or Steffy made the suggestion, at least, it would be believable from those characters' history/point-of-view.
  18. My take is that this is Audra manipulating Kyle. OC, it's not plausible that any of the things you mentioned could happen in months, much less days! Audra is a master at pushing people's buttons. Let's face it, Kyle isn't the brightest bulb thanks to Jack.
  19. This is so true - the instant love is annoying. Adam/Sally/Billy/Chelsea are the best evidence of why this rings hollow. While I can see Adam/Chelsea reuniting based on a long history and Connor, there's no way Sally would instantly declare love. While Billy is just a desperate soul, Sally would be far more cautious after what happened with Adam. The *real* Sally would not only scheme to get Adam back, but make Chelsea's life difficult. She just got over it and gave up. Please. Instead of insta-love why can't some of these characters more casual? I hope Claire flings with Holden after Kyle falls into Audra's trap. Abby turns to Nate when Devon obsesses over Amanda - even if she's not in town. Lauren turns to Jack during this Michael stress, who in turn lands in Diane's web. We need messy triangles/quads and more.
  20. Thank goodness, MM arrived! It's also a reminder of how much the show misses her energy. We all suspected she was connected to Dumas and that actually works. And that Power Pink Pant Suit. Fire. They dropped enough clues for us to figure out who AD is. From the timeline, to deep Winters background, admiring Neil and getting CI from Victor. Oh, Sharon are you really going to be the first to break the pact? Those scenes were horribly written. Sharon isn't petty like that - Faith/Christian on a private jet. Sharon isn't superficial. What should've happened is that Sharon noticing that Phyllis is crumbling to her trauma. Sharon doesn't have to a savior, but Sharon would definitely provide supportive advice.
  21. The Italy remote airdates imply Liam will still be alive in July. No way would Brooke/Ridge jet off to Italy if their respective granddaughters lost their father. Would Bridge really leave Hope/Steffy during this time? That seems a step too far for B&B.
  22. ITA. While I'm all for vets being featured, the show has boxed itself in by not adequately developing a younger set. It's like Kyle's realistic options are Claire and Audra with Summer gone. Chance is barely used. Noah and Faith are off-canvas now. Abby's story has been run to the ground in all the wrong ways. There's a Newman/Abbott war going on and Abby is on the sidelines? Give me a break. Abby shouldn't be a hostess, but at either Jabot or NE and right in the middle of all this stuff. Abby and Adam should've formed an alliance as the not Nick/Victoria kids.
  23. I'll focus on the positives: 1. VP has been an unexpected addition to the cast. I wasn't thrilled that Amy had been recast simply to eliminate her. Gotta give props that Josh saw more. Amy actually works as the glue for the Winters/Hastings family. The surprise Audra/Amy relationship has added depth to both characters. 2. Victor/Phyllis. It was fun to watch Victor undercut every single Phyllis pitch/bluff. MS played this well. No way Phyllis can get away with histrionics with Victor. It was a nice touch that Victor acknowledged Phyllis' trauma, but that he knows her all to well. 3. Chelsea reading Billy. MCE is being wasted when Chelsea is a victim. Look at how much more interesting Chelsea has been challenging Billy and Adam. Please bring Chelsea back to life. Same with Adam. 4. Anyone else notice that AG sometimes plays this homoerotic vibe with Adam/Billy. Like that look he gave Billy when Adam exited the bar. Since it's neither actor was there during the Delia s/l, it's just a lot tougher to sell the animosity. Since she's always been there, EH's pain with all the Adam's sticks.
  24. @janea4old With the Pope full pre-emption, will JW's first airdate move to Monday, June 16?
  25. I never thought I'd say it, but SC is B&B's best male actor - by far. SK is next. Has there ever been a US soap that has so much female talent surrounding by Himbos? KKL, JMW, HT, KB, AN, RB could be/have been leading ladies on any other soap. Even the secondary females are the ones who carry their scenes. It's been rare periods when B&B actually had a few solid male cast members. JMW really did a great job in the scenes with AN. Considering everything we've witnessed the past couple of years with Steffy/Hope, I thought reveal may ring hollow. JMW proved me wrong. No doubt this is Emmy material.
