The production values in these early episodes is stellar. The Forrester mansion is more believable as, uh a mansion. The show very obviously shrunk that set around 2015/16 and it really shows in comparison to these episodes.

Wow, perfect casting with the resemblance if Daniel was the biological son of Danny! I would like to see both of them on the canvas. Daniel for a recast Abby and put them in a triangle with Sally. Kill off Paul and pair Danny with Christine. Let them annoy Phyllis.

Sheila and Deacon are now in the opening credits! Hooray! Every scene with them is just fabulous. I am just loving Brad Bell’s instinct for fast-paced drama and character-driven moments like with Sheila and Deacon. There is nothing else like it on soaps today! Thank you Brad Bell!

I read elsewhere that Kathryn Hays’s house in Illinois has been sold and she is now living at an assisted living facility that specializes in caring for patients with dementia and Alzheimer’s. Her mother lived at this place during the final years of her life. I am so glad that we got to see Kathy on the Locher Room twice last year.

So exciting to see Wendy again! Thank you Alan! This made my afternoon. Now do one for ATWT!

The Italian set is a mish mash of older sets like the new ranch (fireplace) and Chancellor Park (doors and the outside stone). I think a few tweaks here and there would make this an awesome ranch set. That sitting room is too cramped, and the old new ranch looked drab and cheap.

Ron Carlivati knows how to put together fabulous storylines. I am hooked on DAYS more than I have been in over a decade. I love the possession storyline! I can’t wait to watch each and everyday. Sometimes I watch three times! I LOVE RON CARLIVATI AND DAYS OF OUR LIVES!

I would love to see an oral history book for each of the two last P&G shows like the one that came out a few years ago for OLTL. It would really contextualize the last couple of decades of ATWT and GL.

This was a great listen! I would love for Alan to do a followup with Sally about her time at Y&R (each of her 3 stints) and DAYS. She very much seemed like an open book.

New here. I have always been curious about soap star salaries, especially at P&G. It seems like stars were always paid lower than their peers, even in the heyday! Does anyone know what the pay looked like for the vets and heavy hitters when salaries saw 50-70% cuts?
