Im finally done with June 1981! God how I loved Slick Jones! He was one of the best additions to this story and the cast as Luke‘s friend and sidekick! Luke was still in hiding from Tony Cassadine, Alexandria and Robert. Meanwhile they teamed up by now.. I loved how Slick and Rose were helping out Luke while Laura quit her job at ELQ and went on a small vacation. Now I know where Tracy got her genes from lol Damn Edward was fine with Alexandria and destroying Laura‘s reputation because of the ice princess. Luke finally got caught and idk but I love Tony Cassadine. But he’s dumb. He went with a truth serum and torture and Luke told him the truth that he doesn’t have the ice princess. Which was one of the biggest shocks for me after weeks of Luke in hiding mode and messing with the big guys and acting like he had that ice princess lol But even with the truth serum Tony didn’t believe him. Tony and Alexandria‘s backstory got more depth and development and they both ended up together again. While Alexandria is still stringing James Duvall along lol I really dig Tony-Alexandria tbh. Robert saved Luke‘s life on the Cassadine boat and revealed his secret of being an agent to him and it was so much fun seeing O‘Reilley, Luke, Slick and Robert working together. Joe-Heather are bonding even though he still wants to get her behind bars for Diana‘s murder. We got so far that he finally figured out that Rick‘s gun is missing and that Heather must’ve stolen it on Christmas when she was in town. Finally some progress there im not even mentioning Hutch and his story anymore at this point. 3 months. Three! Just two attempts on his life. Get out of here Noah is a weird character. Never saw the Noah Drake episodes but he behaves so weird torwards Rick and even to his love interest Bobbie. And what’s up with Claudia and Brian. I always liked them but damn girl. She became so vile and annoying and I kinda side with Brian and him keeping some distance. They are like constantly at each others throats at this point and make up ever two weeks. Ugh we laugh about GH 2024 and how they have 100 characters but it wasn’t really better in 1981. They kept adding and adding characters to the canvas but what for? For an instance Kathy Summers. A girl living with the Q‘s coz Monica felt for her coz she went through the same and used her as a spy on Alan. They even gave her a little flirt with Noah to make Bobbie mad for a few episodes but otherwise there was nothing going on with her. And James Duvall! This men is the reason the ice princess exists and the world destroying formula and the writers kept him hidden in his house for 4-5 months. Bruh got introduced on February 2nd 1981 and he was still being kept hidden by June 30th of 1981 even though he is a powerful scientist? Come on man. Can’t be serious. Noah Drake has been on the show for 3 months and behaved like a spoiled brat torwards all characters and being Bobbie’s love interest but nothing else. I know he was probably a last minute addition coz we lost Jeff Webber. Hutch character being pointless. I’d rather take Nelle from the 2010‘s over Hutch character at this point. or Amy. Hey I like Amy Vinning but her being the gossip girl of the town and having her own so much being self righteous and gossiping is really annoying and grating on my nerves. Or Dan Rooney. After they broke up Jessie-Dan. Was Dan‘s character really that needed? I mean I get why they kept him for a little romance with Ruby and having friends for Steve Hardy in his age range but come on. or Jeremy.. Was that boy really needed for so long on the show? He’s such a know it all and being annoying like his mother. Why they kept Anne Logan after Jeff left is a mystery to me. I mean they even axed cast members before who stayed for 9-10 years between the 60‘s and 70‘s but kept Anne Logan for so long? UGH! As much as I like Susan Moore why did they invest so hard in her character? She barely shared scenes with her evil Cousine Heather. She was always a mistress. Only big thing she got going on was the Alan-Susan and her pregnancy story. Which dragged on for most of 1981 by this point. Maybe it will be more exciting when the baby is born. But come on. She was a mistress to Mitch a year ago and is now a mistress to Alan.. but I do believe that Alan actually really loved her. But overall the show is so good in June 1981. I just want hutch story to end. I also want Diana‘s murder to finally be solved for god damn sake

Im on my 2016 GH binge and oh damn. Laura Wright‘s acting was chef‘s kiss after her son Morgan died and kinda blaming Sonny for it. LW really put her heart into those scenes.

I’ve finally watched the entire September 2016! That month felt like a whole sweeps and i was sucking it up! Sam/Jason (Drew) got married. The Julian story came to a climax. His trial started and Alexis and the whole case fell apart and Julian got free. But oh god I forgot how annoying Julian was during all of this. He really thought he could just walk back into his old life and pick it up with everyone. I can’t believe that there were still people who wanted Julexis back. That’s insane man! Hayden-Elizabeth got revealed to be half-sisters. That whole plot was handled well to be fair. The serial killer plot put Liz in danger and everyone thought Hayden pushed her down the stairs. I loved how Finn-Curtis helped her out and cleared her name. Hayden saved Liz life and spent her rare blood she shared with Liz. Good stuff, good stuff. The serial killer story. I said it before and I’m saying it again: it was a half asses story. This serial killer story went on for nearly a year and they just picked up the space coz Burgi/Paul was leaving the show for primetime. But I’ll do admit that it became entertaining. if there was ever an actress on GH who was phoning it in and wanted out of this show than it is Teresa Castillo as Sabrina. She kinda used her maternity leave and returned and still just made it to 28 episodes between January til September. Crazy lol BUT they handled her death and murder pretty well. Damn I cried my eyes out and was in shock when Paul killed Sabrina and she became the next victim after attacking Monica and getting figured out by Sabrina. Heavy stuff. But u could tell Burgi was out the show coz he became sloppy. The Susan Hornsby reveal and why Paul did the killings were so last minute coz the actor was out on his way lol Tracy figuring her ex husband out and having a one on one with him was epic. Anna returning and figuring out that Paul was the killer in 1 episode was so half assed lol But the final showdown in September was Anna finding Tracy and Paul and Dillon entering the scene where he tried to kill Tracy. I had goosebumps. I liked Burgi as Paul Hornsby and think he wasn’t a bad recast. He wasn’t even bad written but it could’ve been handled a bit better or with a little bit more time. I still enjoyed the serial killer story in September! And we got the Nathan-Claudette-Griffin-Maxie story back up front and Claudette revealing that she has a daughter “Charlotte” and that it’s hers with Nathan. I don’t know why but I didn’t mind this story but didn’t care for it either tbh. Morgan having a go with Julian was one of my personal favorites too. U could tell he’s like his father. But Morgan being back in school and then cheating? Bruh what a lame ass story lol

Maybe equally overrated as Sonny and Jason lol Nah I don’t think that this is it coz I haven’t watched FnF either in real time and they are one of my favorite couples of all time. Their story’s were fire. Idk what it was but 1987-1989 felt kinda struggling and I was only interested in FnF, Steve,Audrey and a few. But Duke has never been a favorite of mine there.

I watched some super couple clips while traveling but damn. I came to the conclusion that Duke Lavery was the most overrated romantic lead ever and the pairing of him and Anna was so-so.. I even blame this whole mob thing for GH to lose #1…

CW a better actress than Vanessa? Wow.. or on 90210 and later Las Vegas… She showed a lot of range. No offense to CW (I liked her on GL) but no way is she better lol I highly disagree for the first time ever 😂 But I’ll give it to CW to work with all the horrible stuff the writers threw at her lately… But Stafford will always be Nina to me When Sonny learned about Nina‘s betrayal… The Cyrus attack… Sonny asking Dex to kill Cyru and if he‘s with him. That was the Sonny straight from the 2000‘s back in the show. I do think that some of his mumbling and tiredness has to do with the bipolar and his meds.

To be fair Maurice had a lot of good acting delivered in January. An actor can’t be on top of their game every day

Definitely! My source is getting me the next 170 episodes ready and will get me through until at least February 1982 Heather‘s story was phenomenal! The ice princess story was dragging BUT since May it really became exciting. I also love how balanced the cast is. Not like today where u don’t see some for weeks and then they pop up.

Still have to wait for the rest of my 1981 episodes from my source I started to watch some Lilly-Sonny-Brenda scenes. Damn Brenda got cray cray lol Ofc Sonny loved her BUT I will always give it to Sonny coz he really tried to be a good husband to her and that was enough for Lilly. I get that Brenda and Sonny Fans hated Lilly but it was juicy drama like when Brenda used Jax or when she got herself into a snow storm. Lilly was so loyal to Sonny. Brenda even wanted to betray him to the cops but then pretends like they belong together? Can‘t make that up lol LILLY would’ve never done that. Best Line ever from Brenda was: Why does he look so hungry? (Whoever wrote the dialogue back then was on fire )

Back then she wanted some flexibility like Genie Francis etc… Probably a big paycheck ofc and flexibility with the filming schedule to have enough time for her family.. Kinda like Geary I guess who got a contract for like 30-32 weeks and rest vacay. I mean this cast is hughe. Instead of casting some queer as folk actors why not giving Vanessa something and bring her back. I know she ain’t a priority etc. But I’m still a fan of her. There was someone commenting: Sonny is single right now! Vanessa‘s reply: Sonny is always single when Brenda‘s in town! (I chuckled coz it reminded me of the Brenda vs Lilly story lol)
