  1. 👍🏻 Both were decent sets that did not long long, at all.
  2. Imagine from going from Wiley Cooper-Jones to Wiley Quartermaine-Corinthos. 😭
  3. I think that was part of the gimmick of naming him Wiley was Wile E. Coyote, dumb as rocks. I blame Brad more than Lucas. 🤣
  4. Should've been an easy Monica name drop; at least it isn't Donna. That poor child. I think Amelia is cute, and we can blame Brad/Lucas on "Wiley", although Jonah wasn't that much better. 🤣
  5. WABC › Streamwink (online-video-cutter.com).mp4 Did not air during 2pm, due to ABC News interruption.
  6. There was the apartment she moved into post-divorcing Nick (Michelle Stafford era) where she had Daisy living with her, and she killed Tim Reid. And then, when Gina Tognoni was [rightfully] in the role, she had Billy shared that one apartment.
  7. The only time Phyllis had a home in recent years was when she lived at the cottage house (Victoria's now home), the Abbott mansion, Nick's now-gone home, or the two temporary apartments she had. Otherwise, she's houseless. 🤣

  9. If I recall, they moved a wall that cut the living room from the kitchen off, and it is now more open. Either way, or the wall by the staircase, because you could always see that smell kitchen. IIRC, he's still living in the house he had during Mal Young's regime that got quickly nixed.
  10. date: Friday, June 6 | Ron Carlivati, Jazmen Darnell Brown | Phideaux Xavier Katherine, you sneaky sneak. Eavesdropping on Eva's phone call with Laura to go off to her hotel room. Very happy to see Chelsea and Naomi hanging out at Uptown! Bill is pushing himself too much; those mini-strokes are going to lead to a full-blown one, and trust me, those are not fun to recover from at all. So, Vanessa couldn't walk, huh? Is Joey that good <s>in bed</s> on the poker table? Darius is the hotel equivalent of George on the Fairmont Crest grounds, trusting the Dupree women like it's nothing. At least Darius got some crisp new bills out of it. I appreciate that outwardly, Bill isn't a toxic hetero male when it comes to his future son (if he has one) doing ballet. That's refreshing from a man of his stature. So, the child bride prances to the kitchen for a sports drink and does not prance again until she hits the living room? Girl, you want that man dead. Uh-oh, Joey has let out Douglas' secrets... and Ms Vanessa does not look any happier about it. Vanessa, destroy them both. Tomas continues to be a stand-up guy; he's keeping it honest with Eva that Katherine has his attention. Good on him. At least Katherine put on gloves this time when handling "evidence", ha. Oh, so Madison is "Dr Montgomery"? Oh so this should be interesting to see unfold! Notes: I appreciate the ongoing "coming out" moments for Chelsea with her family members; today, it's Naomi receiving the news and reacting completely naturally to it. Lauren Buglioli (Vanessa) is really beginning to show some range in her work, from the uppity real estate mogul, to her crying, and now we're about to get full bitch mode. Bring it.
  11. Oh, trust me, it's not Easton/Howarth level yet. But the whiplash is still felt from their endless roles (Easton had four; Howarth had three, four if you consider Franco's "Drew" phase). I just think with a talent pool that daytime has, recycling the same actors for new roles has become all too common practice. But, that's just my M.O.; again, she isn't the worst re-hire we could have gotten, but she wasn't on my immediate list, either. Or even someone like Michelle Stafford, who swore to never return to Y&R, and within five years, she slipped back in. 🤣
  12. It's not the worst of returns, but if she is back as Britt, then it defeats her words of asking to be killed off so she couldn't come back. And if she's not Britt, then we've got another Michael Easton/Roger Howarth situation on our hands.

  18. Definitely was more recent than not; when the set originally returned, the change hadn't happened.
  19. We don't know whether Maurice Johnson chose to leave, if he was let go, etc. We don't know the circumstances concerning the Ted recast. But it's two very different situations of a recast, so the comparison between the two is actually not as valid as one may think. There are plenty other comparisons that would be more fair. Keith D. Robinson wasn't there on the day after Johnson exited; sure, there was a one-day gap, but it wasn't the next day. And, at that, Johnson was even in the opening credits the day prior to Robinson's debut. Obviously, any recast that has a significant period of time between one actor's exit and another's entrance is going to be different if it's a same-week/next week/next few days replacement.
  20. Again, as explained multiple times, they didn't have an overnight set crew post-COVID, so it was easier to keep up certain sets permanently, and those were the community lots. And the fact we got the return of the O.G. Newman Ranch set (albeit updated), the Abbott remodel and yes, even Billy's new home set, is an amazing accomplishment. And we've seen other sets updated over time, from Crimson Lights to Sharon's cottage and the return of the tack house (with some structural updates). Comparing 2020/2021 versus now is a major upgrade in sets and set uses. Whereas, DAYS is pretty much still in the same predicament it's been in for years, and it's dire. Using community sets is easy; no offence, but you're the one complaining about wanting more community sets on Beyond the Gates, whereas The Young and the Restless has plenty: Crimson Lights, the original Genoa City Athletic Club (which returned, replacing the Grand Phoenix, which everyone bitched and complained about wanting the GCAC back instead), Society, the Jazz Lounge (via the GCAC) and even Chancellor Park. What does DAYS have? A smaller Horton Town Square, the Brady Pub and what... the poorly-lit bar? And not a single home set on Y&R is repeated; meanwhile, Marlena and Abe have the same "penthouse" set (which is a living room with a fireplace and a hallway that leads nowhere). Kayla and Marlena appear to have the same office set, and it's then re-used in altered form for Jada's office at the Salem PD. The Kiriakis mansion is reduced to a dated shoebox; I'm honestly surprised we somehow got a remodeled DiMera mansion (and were taken out of their own dated shoebox set). You've got people living in the Salem Inn (in repeated hotel rooms, with potential slight differences). The comparison between DAYS versus Y&R is comical. Not to mention, judging from recent episodes, Y&R now has a JIB, whereas it took DAYS about a year into their run on Peacock to [finally] get their cameras/production value updated. And while it's miles better than it was before, it's still not one hundred percent. It's very obvious which soap has a budget, and DAYS is not it. And I've been watching DAYS lately... we get maybe three or four sets. That's about it. So that, compared to what you call "six or seven" for Y&R... it shows. Not to mention, the quality of the sets is not even a comparison, either. Both the new Newman Ranch and the Abbott remodel look ten times more quality in comparison to the DiMera mansion remodel.
  21. I wouldn't say Y&R has the smallest budget, nor would I say DAYS has more sets. Y&R has been adding more sets⏤which is great, given their lack of an overnight set crew⏤and they're not the same set re-dressed as something else (like DAYS historically has been doing for years).
  22. I wouldn't go that far.
  23. Oh, I know... just backing you up. 👍🏻 As are the rest of us.
