  1. I absolutely agree. Plus, let's be honest, had Valarie Pettiford come on as a new role, there would have been backlash, and some would even say, "She should have been cast in X role". And I agree; she turned the role into much more of an ongoing recurrence, which I like.
  2. You yourself wrote: "I am hearing" is not confirmation, and per the board's administrator, it is requested those kinds of posts not be made. Not once did I mention this Zoom you keep tirelessly mentioning and persistently posting about ad nauseam. That is what I was referencing. And for the record, you do not know what I do or do not pay for, so making that assumption was quite a choice on your part.
  3. "I am hearing" is not confirmation, which means it should not be posted. Are we really going back to this again?
  4. Per today's end credits, Gayle King will appear as herself sometime within the next week.
  5. Credits for Thursday, February 19, 2026: Created by: Frank & Doris Hursley Executive producer: Frank Valentini Head writers: Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten Writers: Ryan Quan; Stacey Pulwer and Cathy Lepard Director: Tina Keller
  6. original release date: Thursday, February 19, 2026 | writers: Jamey Giddens, Cheryl L. Davis | director: Sonia Blangiardo-Goins Thoughts: Regardless of the chemotherapy, that speciality menu at the country club just does not sound appetising. My stomach bubbled just hearing what was being made. Tomas meeting with Lynette? I wonder what he is trying to accomplish. Sneaky, sneaky, sir. Colour me surprised that Naomi showed up at the hotel room to check in on Hayley. Any feelings she may be feeling will be gone once the truth absolutely comes out. Dana really needs to back off of Anita and Vernon; the Articulettes are not going to be interested in connecting with her regardless of the prize package she may have won, and this is really not helping Anita's stress level. I am still not buying Elon's honest support of Jacob being part of this latest investigation; it does feel as if he is setting his son up. I cannot and will not shake that feeling in my intuitive gut. Oh, the way I would be dragging Dana from my table for her attitude and the poor manner in which she is handling herself. Looks like Randy is about to put his plan into motion... at Uptown of all places. Let's be smarter about meeting places. Dana? Sensitive? If she is sensitive, then I am a heterosexual. And not her virginity story causing both Anita and Vernon to immediately lose their appetite. Moving out? I know Jacob is likely trying to protect Naomi from the mess he is about to get mixed up in but it does worry me. Lynette is shaken by Randy's words. Oh, girlfriend was not thinking properly about this. Notes: I knew today would be a writer2 day. I could just tell from those opening scenes. Their worst breakdown writer. CUT THEM and hire someone more capable, please! For career con artists that Hayley, Lynette, and Randy claim to be, their continued public meetings are becoming a bit much. You would think they would understand how problematic and attention-drawing those can be. The re-dressing of the Hawthorne set is very nice; I would not be upset if the bedroom did not return and they kept the set the way it is now. Much more versatile.

  8. I agree; sections are going to become way too messy in my opinion.
  9. Considering the Beyond the Gates crossover already filmed, I doubt it.
  10. They do in the spoilers section, not this thread.

  12. original release date: Wednesday, February 18, 2026 | writers: Natalie Minardi Slater, Danielle Paige | director: Steven Williford Thoughts: Ugh. Hayley is such a whinebag. If you did not want to be under Bill's dutiful eye, then you should not have let Lynette suckerpunch you outside of Uptown. Love seeing Ashley and Grayson all giddy with each other. Their relationship is budding and blossoming beautifully. Bill would rely on Joey to assist him in finding the 'thug' who beat on his poor wife. Get it, Tomas. Confront that con artist child bride over her so-called choices. Nicole and Dani semi-mocking each other is hilarious. That sisterly bond runs deep. Shanice and Ted being like giddy school kids in those honeymoon stages of dating is super cute, and I love it for them. Derek, why the HELL are you on a date with an Ashley lookalike? That is psychopathic behaviour. Already taking after your new boss, I see. And she is way too uppity and try-hard. Not a cute look. At all. It is super sweet of Ashley to do the research that she did. However, it may have been slightly on the borderline of 'crossing the line'. Tavia? Tavia? What a name. But good on Shanice for providing some profound advice and friendship. Bachelor number three? Oh, Ms Nicole! You get yourself yours! Wow. Look at you, Ashley, giving some very sound advice to Carlton and also calling him out on his B.S.! We do love to see it. I love seeing Ashley and Grayson having such an honest conversation and owning up to some of their flaws. How refreshing. A little Febreze? Nicole. You are practically drenched in that spray attack. Carlton, you are a moron. Pretend you have never seen it and go with Nicole! Suck it up, sir! You are moving down my ranking. Caroline's loyalty to Bill should never fall by the wayside. She is deserving of so much more than she gets in her everyday life. And I know her friendship with Hayley is very much one-sided, but I like seeing them reconnect. Randy, your web of conspirators is going to be your downfall. Guess you will need to visit Lynette in her hotel room, woo her, and get the ring back. Notes: Minardi Slater is quickly becoming my favourite breakdown writer, likely due to her long-standing in the American daytime community. And pairing her with Paige, one of their best scriptwriters? A winning day! Kudos to Williford for continuing to display excellent directorial decisions; the new angle of the nurse's station at Garland Memorial is outstanding. And the lighting on this soap continues to be top-notch level as well. Beautiful! I see P&G are upping their sponsorship and product placement again. I am not mad at it, because it is quite a nice gag. Jen Jacob's (Ashley) fresh highlights are stunning on her and very flattering. She and Jordi Vilasuso (Grayson) just spark as a paired couple.
  13. Writers: Natalie Minardi Slater Danielle Paige Director: Steven Williford
  14. Once again, Ridge: And that fringe on Annika Noelle (Hope) is not cute. A lighter, more side-swept look would have been a more complementary look.
  15. Considering Williams no longer acts and is active in other professional capacities, a recast was necessary in returning the role.
  16. Considering they have yet to switch it up since the reintroduction of this theme, I doubt they are going to do it now. They can barely update the images appropriately, and you want them to rotate them? 🤣 Be happy they got updated (or downgraded, as I would call a lot of the 'new' additions).
  17. Nicholas picking up an addiction to pain pills is not only realistic but also tracks, given that addiction runs in his family (via Nikki's alcoholism). Half a snap for Josh Griffith for taking this route. I'm happy to see the reintroduction of the Dark Horse Chancellor Industries set; however, I do wish it were the original set from the 1990s and 2000s or something remodeled like it (at times, it did give Jabot). edit; Every time I see the mid-episode bumper, I cannot help but feel like that design would have better suited the opening theme.
  18. Exactly. I'm sure she could become shattered (which I would say is a step or two beyond 'cracked').
  19. One might say she's cracking or has cracked...?
  20. He got both in the O.G. opening, which is why he does in the current one.
  21. original release date: Tuesday, February 17, 2026 | writers: Sara A. Bibel, Judy Tate | director: Steven Williford Thoughts: Saltwater taffy? I am not a taffy fan in the slightest, but good on Anita for liking what she likes and for Vernon continuing to uphold tradition. Va-va-zoom! Dommy mommy Vanessa is very demanding and is red-hot in the red 'fit with her dark wig! Yes, ma'am! I will put that on immediately! Good for Nicole for denying the double date idea; both Bradley and Martin deserve to have their own Valentine's Day date night, especially since last year was such a difficult one for them. Ms Anita? That voice is divine and what a beautiful present but to show the love she has for Vernon by way of song. I admire Dana for trying to lure Marcel into a date night with her... but she is also delusional. Ted and Shanice preplanning for a 2027 Valentine's date night is admirable, and I hope they do get to that point within their relationship. Bradley, you can pause your story for a trip to Costa Rica with your husband for some romantic time in the sun. Joey does not like being in control, but control sure as Hell fits Vanessa like a damn glove! Wow. Bill did get the house. I am shocked he was able to secure it. Dani and Shanice teaming up? Against Dana? Oh, this is going to be juicier than a freshly squeezed citrus. I am howling at Marcel turning down Dana for her invitation at Uptown. And here she comes trying to one-up Shanice with her nastiness. Witch of a thousand names? Dani continues to be an excellent wordsmith. And I hope she never loses that spitfire spirit she has. That last scene was... chilling. It does not look like Ms Dana likes being denied the things she wants. Notes: Bibel and Tate did an exceptional job with today's script. Held some promise of the past and a glimmer of the future. And Williford's eye was very clear with the direction, especially with the final scene with Trisha Mann-Grant (Dana). Lauren Buglioli (Vanessa) was HOT HOT HOT in today's episode. You can tell she was having a lot of fun working with Jon Lindstrom (Joey) in today's episode. Plus, brunette works exceptionally well on her! Giving me Britney Spears' "Womanizer" in that wig. And their scenes were some of the steamiest I have seen on American daytime. I love that we are getting these kinds of scenes. Reminds me of the "Get it On" promos from the 1990s/2000s that CBS Daytime employed. Lami (Izaiah) is still bobble-headed and it's nauseating at this point. Good actor but unwatchable. The continued weaving of characters into cross-storylines is very exciting, and I hope it continues to happen. It sets this soap up in brilliant, classic ways.
