That apartment set should be retired, lmao. If anything, put Brady back in the apartment he shared with Theresa for 2.5 seconds, which was essentially John & Marlena's apartment but re-dressed and a bit smaller. The set problems on this soap are DIRE! Beyond DIRE!

Building that specific family around Curtis has been an awful mistake. I do often wonder if there had been plans for Tommy Ashford to pop-up until they revealed Shawn Butler was TJ's biological father. But, to me, the proper TJ should have been Tommy "TJ" Hardy Jnr. Missed opportunity with that one. Brook Kerr also would have been a viable Gia recast, which would have made Trina a Campbell over an Ashford, and Taggert's niece instead of daughter (a story reveal we'll never get at this point). But now, Kerr has to support Donnell Turner throughout every single scene of their "storyline." It's disappointing.

Was this ever confirmed? Thank goodness he's gone, honestly... and no one knew the breakdown on his own contract, as networks/production make it their policy to not comment on contracts, etc. Rylan is older than Ordway, though.

SO WASTED! AJ/Elizabeth was a viable pairing and, I felt like, if I can recall properly, he didn't treat Elizabeth as weak or needing to be saved. Plus, Elizabeth Quartermaine is a kick-ass name... more so than Elizabeth Baldwin. 😶 Cannot believe she's still Baldwin.

Monaco, for the first time in a while, felt alive in a JaSam pairing with Miller in the role, at least from my perspective. And yes, Miller & Rebecca Herbst had outstanding chemistry, but I never saw them being repaired after Lizzie kept the secret of Drew's then-true identity. Herbst also had outstanding chemistry with Sean Kanan's AJ Quartermaine... which is a pairing I will always hate that did not go further than it did.... imagine Elizabeth Webber as Michael's step-mother...? Carly's head would have SPUN off of her shoulders!!!

Drew/Sam were a pairing I was decent with, because I do feel like Billy Miller & Kelly Monaco had some real fire chemistry, but if I am being honest: their pairing as Jason/Sam was more viable.

Here's my thing, though: how is a "gay man in his 40's" supposed to act like? I know plenty of men⏤heterosexual or homosexual⏤who behave just like Leo Stark does. And the same thing goes for when viewers bitch about how teens are not "acting their age." Everyone is different, and while I am not defending the "writer" and his lazy-ass writing, I am stating there isn't one specific way to write a character. Because I don't see people calling out Sami when she comes to town pulling the same, tired schemes she always does. 🤷🏻‍♂️ If anything, it's hailed because it is Sami Brady.
