Joy is essentially a non-entity. Last time Joy was really involved in-story was briefly in 2005 when Aisling Acuna was in the role. Otherwise, Joy hasn't truly existed in-universe for a long-ass time.

Friday's press release still states "early 2025".

Does not surprise me; the past few years have been painful in terms of costume for the actors. And I love how respectful photographers are being with her, too. That's rare in today's society. Fück all of that; they need to be SEASON specific. Not gonna happen.

In a new soap, I wouldn't know... but in terms of recasting, a lot? All I know is a lot of casting directors have revealed often in sides they won't give out the character's true name, whether if recast or new role.

I don't think so... I thnk Korte & Van Etten are trying to figure out how to absolve Sonny "Godfather" Corinthos from being pinned to the crime... a.k.a. POOR execution on their part. At least Patrick Mulcahey would have known how to plot the A, B, C to X, Y, Z of the story.

Most casting calls / breakdowns don't include the actual name of the character, to avoid spoilers, etc. so it doesn't surprise me all of the names have changed. Especially since the family was originally the Jacksons and is now the Duprees, etc. and now we see other surnames: the Richardsons, the Hamiltons and the Thomases.

It was the "writer," so he did what he did best. It's the same thing he did to AJ!

And allows actors the chance to shine, which I love!!! I love that it's not all names we've seen previously in daytime! And one of them, Colby Muhammad, was just on Broadway. That is exciting!

This all could have been avoided if the soap were not produced decades in-advance. Like, pull that shït back to two months... three minimum.
