  1. https://www.soapoperadigest.com/content/catching-up-with-soap-alum-victor-alfieri/ Alan Locher will welcome Victor Alfieri (ex-Franco, DAYS et al) to his YouTube show, The Locher Room. The actor will discuss his new movie, My Secret Billionaire, his time on daytime and more. The live interview will take place on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 3 p.m. EDT and can be viewed on the Locher Room youtube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/c/TheLocherRoom/videos
  2. One year ago, I looked at the John Hopkins site more than once a day. https://coronavirus.jhu.edu/map.html After many months, it became too traumatizing to look. I looked today. As of today April 2nd, 2,836,270 people have died of COVID-19 worldwide. But that's only those who were diagnosed and counted.
  3. The world is so crazy. This was tweeted on April 1st so I wondered if it was a joke but the story is still on the hillreporter site, and they updated it.
  4. Wally tweeted a pic of him and Judi, and Suzanne was in the background, but I'm not sure if this an a new or an old pic.
  5. Suzanne Rogers has been on leave for a while, but still listed as active in contract closing credits. When she began her leave, they wrote it that Maggie had gone out of town to visit Summer (the retcon daughter). There was a phonecall to Maggie telling her that Sarah's wedding was cancelled. Also ... The previous "Salem day" lasted more than a week, so they are currently on the next "Salem day" after Sarah left. So as far as everyone in Salem is concerned, "yesterday" was Sarah's wedding day, during which she dumped Xander and ran off with Rex.
  6. They haven't said yet where Kristen sent Sarah. 3/18, 3/19, and 3/22, KristenAsSarah arranged for Xander to find her in a room with Rex. She broke up with Xander to say she wanted to be with Rex. Kristen texted Xander on Sarah's phone to says she was leaving town with Rex and don't contact her. Rex was all happy that Sarah wanted him again. Then Kristen convinced a drugged RealSarah to agree to go into the steamer trunk, and then KristenAsSarah told Rex she was leaving town alone as she walked off alone with the trunk. KristenAsSarah's final words to Rex were that she needed time alone and don't contact her. 3/29, KristenAsSusan wheeled the trunk into Jarlena's place, and KristenAsSusan told Marlena some convoluted story as to why the trunk was there. Nothing has been shown as to what happened in between. Linsey Godfrey's final scenes on 3/29: -Kristen remembering to herself what happened last week in a flashback. -Xander having a drunken hallucination of Sarah. Rex's final scenes on 3/22 were telling Kate and Roman that he and Sarah were leaving Salem together, and then he went to meet PersonHeBelievedToBeSarah, and she said she was leaving without him. Rex left town alone and didn't bother to tell Kate and Roman that Sarah decided not to go with him. Therefore nobody knows yet that Sarah is missing.
  7. The Minneapolis Star-Tribune is live-streaming the trial of the policeman who murdered Mr. Floyd. https://www.startribune.com/watch-live-trial-of-minneapolis-police-officer-derek-chauvin-for-george-floyd-death/600031682/
  8. This helped me to understand.
  9. One of the articles said that staffers were told that they could tell the truth and not be penalized for past pot usage. So they told the truth, and were hired. And later asked to resign -- This.
  10. Ingo is more than a bit. He tweeted last year that he'd joined Parler.
  11. Marcia Fudge was confirmed on March 10th by the Senate to be Secretary of HUD (Housing and Urban Development). She resigned her Congressional seat in Ohio (representing the greater Cleveland region) and then she was sworn in as HUD Secretary. There will be a special election in Ohio to fill her seat in Congress, with a primary in August 2021 and the election in November 2021. (I guess that Ohio district of Greater Cleveland will be unrepresented until Marcia Fudge's replacement is elected in November?) ------- Deb Haaland was confirmed by the Senate as Secretary of the Interior on March 15th. On March 16th, she formally submitted to the New Mexico Secretary of State... her letter of resignation as Congresswoman. Then she was sworn in as Secretary of the Interior. Deb Haaland's seat in Congress (representing the 1st Congressional District of New Mexico) will be filled by a special election to be held on June 1st. Instead of a primary system, candidates for the special election will be chosen by each party's state central committee. (Apparently the New Mexico 1st Congressional District seat will remain vacant until Haaland's replacement is elected in June.) ------- I was reading the election laws for both Ohio and New Mexico and noticed that they are have different deadline guidelines. New Mexico *requires* that the seat be filled within a certain number of days.
  12. Here is the story summarized from several news sources: Soap actor Vincent Irizarry's son Elias Irizarry, 19, has been charged in the Jan 6th Capitol insurrection. ^ photo of Irizarry on website of WSOC Channel 9 Charlotte, North Carolina. From the film clips of the insurrection compiled by the New Yorker ... Elias Irizarry is shown entering the Capitol through a window. Video footage here: https://www.wsoctv.com/news/local/2-york-co-men-who-are-cadets-with-civil-air-patrol-charged-capitol-riots/SSBGKCU6NZAMVHFNBYTKAZQ7EY/ Elias Irizarry is a second semester freshman at The Citadel Military College of South Carolina. He previously attended Montclair High School in New Jersey. ABC4 said Irizarry and another South Carolina man, Elliot Bishai, were identified via social media posts, surveillance footage and witness accounts, citing affidavits. Irizarry was repeatedly visible in the evidence photos with his face showing while wearing the same clothing and "Make America Great Again" hat. Affidavits show Irizarry and Bishai were connected to Grayson Sherill, another Charlotte-area man arrested on charges stemming from the Capitol riot. WSOC-TV reports that Bishai and Irizarry apparently know each other through the Gastonia Civil Air Patrol. According to ABC, Irizarry was arrested by FBI agents on March 15, on charges of: * Knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, * Knowingly engaging in disorderly or disruptive conduct in any restricted buildings or grounds, * And violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds. Elias Irizarry, 19, a second semester freshman at The Citadel Military College of South Carolina, was released from jail on a $25,000 bond, ABC4 reports. Terms of his release include regular pretrial check-ins, not being allowed to leave the country, not traveling out of state without permission, and not having access to firearms. A hearing in Washington D.C. is set for March 22. sources: Bergenfield, New Jersey Daily Voice https://dailyvoice.com/new-jersey/bergenfield/news/soap-opera-stars-montclair-son-citadel-cadet-charged-in-capitol-riots/805302/ ABC-4 (WCIV) news, Mount Pleasant /Charleston, South Carolina https://abcnews4.com/news/local/citadel-cadet-charged-in-capitol-riot-probe-bonds-out-of-jail-1st-court-date-set WSOC-TV channel 9, Charlotte, North Carolina https://www.wsoctv.com/news/local/2-york-co-men-who-are-cadets-with-civil-air-patrol-charged-capitol-riots/SSBGKCU6NZAMVHFNBYTKAZQ7EY/
  13. Minneapolis City Council agrees to award 27 million dollars in a settlement to George Floyd's family https://www.startribune.com/minneapolis-to-pay-record-27-million-to-settle-lawsuit-with-george-floyd-s-family/600033541/ Minneapolis will pay a record $27 million to settle the lawsuit brought by George Floyd's family. Of the $27 million, $500,000 will be used "for the benefit of the community around 38th and Chicago," where Floyd died, according to the city. ^ This was from a civil lawsuit from Mr. Floyd's family suing the city. Meanwhile jury selection continues for the criminal trial of the policeman who killed Mr. Floyd.

  15. I usually check to see if something's already been posted, and then I start composing my post. Then I submit my post. Then later on, I discover that it was already posted by someone else, which confuses me since I had carefully checked. Finally I remembered that sometimes a member will post three different unrelated things, intending them to be separate posts ... but if the posts are submitted within a certain time frame, the SON forum software automatically causes them to become merged into one single post. Thus it can happen that ... when I check to see if a tweet or article was already posted, it wasn't posted .... but meanwhile, WHILE I'm composing my post ... someone else posts whatever I was in the middle of composing ... it and it gets merged into their prior post. So by time I submit my post, my post is duplicate information. This doesn't happen as often now, but it used to happen more frequently between Election Day and Inauguration Day when so much sh!t was happening.
  16. There are lots of empty positions in many agencies because Trump never filled them. This link is a periodically-updated list of every open position and nominee or appointee, and the status of the nominations: https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/interactive/2020/biden-appointee-tracker/
  17. I agree with this. (Although the institutional racism was already obvious to some, I guess the interview served as a "reveal" for some of the general public worldwide). -- Yup
