Agreed. Very irresponsible. If they want to show that drama, then post the hotline info, too, it's not that hard. Well they tweeted this. 988 is the new suicide line in the USA since July 2022. They put the same message on the official Y&R facebook here: https://www.facebook.com/TheYoungandtheRestless/posts/10166530497405315 I have seen nothing yet on Y&R instagram. And the Y&R youtube shows only the clip of Chelsea about to jump. Unless you checked the Y&R twitter or facebook that day, you'd miss it. They should've put a PSA within the episode.

Thanks @DRW50 for posting the tweet about Saturday's NYTimes front page layout. and the intentionality of how they of prioritized of what went above the fold. I like how the tweeter phrased it as "the attempted assassination of the Speaker of the House" - because that's what it was. Yet nytimes and other media didn't use that language. NYTimes below-the-fold headline said "Pelosi's Husband Is Badly Injured In Hammer Attack by an Intruder" Saturday Oct 29 front page:

There is *no info* in SOD about Lauren's crossover except for this: The clickbait picture in the upper right corner of the cover. The picture that dragonflies posted of Lauren and Eric. And in comings and goings section it says Lauren visits Eric "this week" (week of October 31st) with this little picture: That's it. That's all there is. No article. Nothing. Just "Lauren visits Eric" in comings and goings, and the picture of Lauren with Eric in the spoiler pics section. There's an article about Sheila's Halloween standalone episode, but it doesn't mention Lauren at all. Maybe Lauren comes for the fashion show? (B&B is having its first fashion show episode or episodes since before the pandemic sometime - it happens during week of Oct. 31st.) I mean, I expected they would do a Sheila/Lauren thing, but there's nothing written about it. Odd.

There is no soap character I hate more than Sheila Carter. I hated that B&B wrote Sheila using an attempted suicide as a manipulative pity strategy to try to get Taylor's friendship. But I still didn't want to watch a suicide. And what I hated most was that B&B didn't post hotline information. All we got was producer Casey Kasprzyk posting how cool it was to film it.

Yeah the show sucks. The character sucks. I understand snark. But NO i don't encourage jumping. I don't want to be part of a board that jokes about suicide.

I understand wanting to getting rid of a fictional character you hate. But I don't like snarking about suicide, ever.

"sensitive and potentially disturbing" might not be enough of a warning to those who might be triggered. Do they link to hotlines at the end?

Today, when Stephanie and Leo were each talking about the blackmailer, the closed-captioning spelled her name as "Sloane". But also today, Alex's cellphone showed him receiving a text from "Sloan Petersen". Then Leo was talking about her to Paulina. He said "with an e". The closing credits still spell her name as "Sloan". I saw discussion of the discrepancy elsewhere. Apparently what Leo meant by "with an e" was Petersen and not Peterson (SEN, not SON). I think the closed captioning was making a mistake when the other characters referred to her. I think without closed captioning, we were intended to hear this from Leo: Sloan Petersen with an "e". (The intention being "Sloan PetersEn and not Sloan PetersOn") But the closed captioning messed up and typed Leo saying Sloane Petersen with an "e". The captioning messed up and used the "e" in both first name and surname. I like that SON is a place where I can discuss the spelling discrepancy and nobody will think I'm odd for being a details nerd.

Yes! I just skimmed the episode. The blonde is Sloan in all three pictures. Sloan is wearing the black outfit when she encounters Leo. Later, she wears the leopard print nightgown & robe combo in her room for her date (bootycall) with Alex. During her date, she gets interrupted by a phonecall to go to a meeting at the pub, so she gets dressed into the blouse and skirt for that meeting. And it's all on the same Salem day.

Maybe the leopard-print thing on Sloan is a bathrobe? Maybe the set is her residence or a hotel?

In the pictures of Paulina's campaign, I see a blonde with Leo. Is that Sloan or Stephanie? Isn't Stephanie a brunette? In the other pics I see a blonde with Alex and then a blonde with Chad. All of those pics are for Tuesday according to soaphub, but the blonde (or blondes) is/are wearing three different outfits. So I'm confused. In the picture of Alex dressed as a cop, who is the blonde there? That is probably something that develops later in the week?
