Preview week of March 10th

I am glad they put the "next week on BTG" preview clip at the end of the Canadian live feed on chch. A *lot* to unpack there. EDIT -- I found the preview video for week of March 10th, and just posted it on the BTG March spoilers thread. (I know it aired a the end of the full Fri. March 7 episode, but posting to spoiler thread, too)

This great. I was finally watching Thursday on PPlus, and the timing -- it ended just as the Friday live feed on chch began. Great segue.

Methinks Leslie is snooping in disguise, as would OG Sheila.

Dani to Hayley: "The fairy tell never tells you how Prince Charming can become a real son-of-a-b!tch, once that ring goes on your finger." (this is also relevant to Martin/Smitty, obviously) Bill is upstairs during this whole convo. After Dani leaves. Bill enters the living room and asks Hayley if he just heard Dani's voice. Hayley says yes. Bill says "I need you to hear me well. You cannot trust Dani". This makes me wonder/speculate -- what if Bill was listening from upstairs, and is trying to gaslight Hayley to disregard Dani's warning?

Ah so Bill and Hayley's home set is *supposed* to look unimpressive: Thurs. March 6: Dani enters Bill & Hayley's new home and glances around at the living room decor, and then Dani snarks to Hayley: "This is nice! Bill hired Glorietta Interiors, am I right?" Hayley to Dani: "I'm sure you didn't come here to judge my living room."

Taboi's reference to "nosy nurse" was not about Ashley. It was about Ashley's nursing supervisor "Shanice", the fun gossipy character.

Still working my way through Thurs March 6. Oh wow. That line from Smitty: "it doesn't mean that my needs and dreams are gonna be ignored by default. And I am not gonna put my life on hold - just to avoid upsetting you!" I did that in my own life, gave up my needs and dreams just to avoid upsetting my "partner" at the time. And giving that up - it gave me lasting scars. It was many years before I finally left that person. This is the catharsis of good drama. I reexperience my own life trauma by watching it fictionally, and it gives me a way to process it. I thought I was past it, but there are still layers of those scars within me, that I see I still need to process. A good soap will entertain, but also inspire a viewer to examine their own life choices, and perhaps make needed changes. I hope this storyline helps viewers to leave toxic relationships before there are longterm scars.

I had to replay that section from Thurs March 6 -- replaying this morning Friday on ParamountPlus, and was like what? Then I remembered I had read your post earlier, something about closed captioning and pig and leather. So I searched for your post and found it. Now the scene makes sense!

That's the Niki Smith I knew. I started watching in 1969 so Gillian Spencer was my Viki/Niki. Yeah her Niki sounded more like someone who spoke like a working class person from a city. Gillian Spencer's Niki fit well with Antony Ponzini's Vince. In contrast, Gillian Spencer's Victoria Lord sounded elegant (as did Erika Slezak's Victoria).

I don't remember much about them from watching all those years ago, but I do remember that I found Cecily extremely annoying!

Found the comment you referenced. It was during the created flashback scene when Dani was reminiscing about coming home with Bill after their daughter Naomi's wedding. They talk about how Dani gave up everything for Bill and then ... Bill: I tell you what -- if Jacob were to ask Naomi for half the things I asked of you, they'd never find that boy's body.
