There's another mini-promo for BTG airing at the end of B&B and BTG. started airing Monday April 14. It's similar to but not the same as the "next week" promo that aired at end of Friday April 11. (They did this last week, too- new promo airing at end of Monday that's similar to but different from the promo airing at end of prior Friday) -

I like that it's unclear who Eva's biological parents are, and and that we have more than one theory. I assume that, over time, there will be more than one DNA test. I think that Nicole will (eventually) accept and welcome Eva to the family, regardless of who is proven to be Eva's biological parents.

It's all awful. Can't say that any one thing is more horrific than another. Just that the latest horror (whatever that latest horror is at the current moment) is overwritten in the news by the next horror, and then the one after that.

Banner-flying antics: Rabid fans of Y&R's Lily&Cane pairing (Christel Khalil and Daniel Goddard). Those fans paid lots of money to have banners flown from airplanes over the studio, long story. It left a bad taste in my mouth. Fans did what fans do, I get that -- this isn't about them. I can't critique fans of pairings for simply being fans. The issue for me was that DG encouraged the banners and fan adulation. It's hard to describe accurately. It wasn't what it said, but how he said it. He comes off as smarmy/unctuous -- what I mean is... seemingly outwardly oh so gracious and charming, but in a way that felt more egotistical underneath, almost creepy. He wanted attention. It's one thing to be politely grateful at unusual shows of fan attention. It's a whole other thing to be intentionally stoking that attention. And then when CK had moved on, the show wanted to pair DG with Beth Maitland, and he actively sabotaged that.

Thank you (I think?) for posting the articles. They're horrifying and I feel quite ill. What I mean is, I appreciate you posting the articles, from a historical perspective. The history of such societal attitudes makes me quite ill. And egads how Michael Logan wrote it. I've seen recently glorification of a certain rape-pairing from another television program, from certain fans, on social media. I don't want to go off-topic with the other show on this OLTL thread, so I won't give details. Just sayin' some of that attitude is sadly still out there. Here's hoping that all shows daytime/primetime/films will stop with that trope.
