  3. Horrible
  4. I'm still annoyed that Vanessa can invite Joey to the club as her guest, and nobody objects.
  5. biography of Minneapolis mayor Jacob Frey https://www.minneapolismn.gov/government/mayor/about-the-mayor/
  6. It's been established that Doug came from a lower class background, hanging out in his youth with BFF Randy. I don't know Vanessa's background but I had the impression she came from money or that she earned all her money from selling real estate.
  7. I noticed that during the Vanessa/Dani convo, Vanessa referred to * both * Dani and Nicole as her best friends.
  8. I was watching live today and I knew that looked familiar!
  9. City of Minneapolis press conference.
  10. Woman in a car shot dead by ICE in Minneapolis as she was driving away.
  11. Senator Mark Kelly, January 6, 2025 Regardless of how horrible Jon Stewart has become, just watch this anyhow. Mark Kelly is great in this interview.
  12. No. Tessa is not bisexual. She had been married to her male manager in the past. She said that when she had a fling with Noah, it was because she was grifting or whatever but it's not who she is. (or something like that). She has flat out said "I'm gay". Mariah has been shown as bisexual; but Mariah is clear that Tessa is her person.
  13. That ET clip of Amanda S and MBJ is from the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards this past weekend.
  14. Star Trek's Dax would think him unworthy of the name.
  15. I noticed in the closing credits yesterday that character names were changed, to show some maiden names and nicknames. Changes as of January 2, 2026, don't know if they'll last... old: Hayley Lawson new: Hayley Lawson Hamilton. old: Nicole Dupree Richardson new: Nicole Dupree. old: Dani Dupree Hamilton new: Danielle "Dani" Dupree Hamilton. old: Anita Dupree new: Anita Williams Dupree old: Dana Thomas new: Dana "Leslie" Thomas old: Bradley Smith new: Bradley "Smitty" Smith old: Katherine Richardson new: Katherine "Kat" Richardson old: Ted Richardson new: Theodore "Ted" Richardson
  16. Her full name was Colby Natasha Muhammad, but she used Colby Muhammad in the credits and Colby Natasha on instagram. She got married in June (Link) and Nixon is her married name. Yesterday in the closing credits she was listed as Colby Natasha Nixon.
  17. I'm watching live today for the first time in months. I love the Nicole/Dani conversation about their pasts as sisters and how Nicole always figured out solutions. The Ted/Andre convo feels natural.
  18. The 2015 Tony Geary episode is up on hulu for free without logging in. https://www.hulu.com/series/general-hospital-b767a2da-2797-4cb4-99cb-86cf8f2bc54a
  19. Per January 5 closing credits, he is on contract. No idea if it's short-term contract or a year.
  20. I posted this on the BTG October discussion thread: "I stepped away from BTG temporarily. But I had planned to return to BTG eventually. But then, meanwhile, my own life (real life) has become very very busy the past month, with no end in sight. I was following BTG recaps and spoilers for a while but now I can't even keep up with that. However, I am enjoying reading this thread daily and still read all the posts." In that October post, I said I would be "busy in a good way", but I ended up being busy with something not-so-good. I wasn't going to post this, but it's clearly relevant to BTG right now: The update for myself personally: A family member had disclosed to me that they have an inherited genetic mutation that is a marker for cancer. *** Not BRCA but a DIFFERENT cancer gene thing *** This is something my mother died from many years ago. I had procrastinated getting tested. (so yes I understand Kat on BTG). But I did get tested. This involved long distance appointments to specialists at a research hospital in another city. *** IMPORTANT: A few genetics clinics will allow you to do a test by postal mail, if you live far from a decent clinic. (This depends on what the test is, what the genetic marker is, and what the clinic is). I chose to go to the research facility in person because why not seek the best care? The result is that I did test positive for the mutations. The mutations I have affect more than one body part. Then I had ultrasounds and biopsies for each relevant body part as a precaution. (I don't have cancer yet, thankfully). My next step is contacting family members. My original family member has one mutation, but I have TWO mutations, so I have to contact everyone my family member already contacted, and tell them to get tested for BOTH. Thankfully, although I am elderly, I am still in good health and chances are I will remain healthy. But still this process is emotionally exhausting. Because of all this, I hadn't had time to watch soaps for the past few months. Ironically, I had decided to tune into BTG over the holidays to unwind; but then I read spoilers and recaps and ... here I see art parallel to my life. And it's all gone from Paramount Plus anyhow. I might try to find copies of the recent episodes later on, when I'm emotionally ready to watch it. Please get tested for whatever. A) you can save your own life. B) you can save the lives of any children/grandchildren you might have. C) you should get tested as young as possible, don't wait. Also. One of my mutations doesn't affect me, but if I had children with a spouse who coincidentally had the same mutation, then our children would get it. But this is only relevant to a specific gene, so this might be rare. (I don't have that situation personally, but it's good for anyone to know that you might want to have the other biological parent of your children get tested.) End of PSA. Edit to add: I'm not going to apologize for making a long post about this. If it saves one life, it's worth it that I posted. I commend BTG for addressing these issues. I don't want to further derail this thread with discussion about my personal life, so please don't reply. Just get tested if you need to. Back to discussion of the show!
