  1. Do you think Tracy and Sharon are in on it? Whatever Anita has planned seems to be what she talked to Andre about when he was at the house. When she finished her solo, she kinda gave him and a nod and he seemed to know what was up. I'm guessing it could be a tribute to Barbara.
  2. Yes, when I saw $300 on that ticket, I was stunned. They need to start pushing Ashley as a flawed character. This whole sweet, perfect nurse isn't working. Ashley was jealous of Derek and Shanice, but as soon as he took her out for coffee and told her he was doing it to make her jealous, it's like a switch was flipped and she pushed him away again. This would actually breathe a little bit of life into the Ashely character, but I doubt that's what they're doing.
  3. I enjoyed the montage too. My only issue was that they used one photo twice and it felt odd because it was so obvious especially since it was a photo without any of the characters but extras.
  4. In yesterday's episode didn't Anita insinuate that her jazz stuff wasn't as popular as her Articulette's stuff, which I thought was an interesting take because I assumed that Anita was a big solo artist and that's why the girls were so angry.
  5. Ok, this show needs to work on their cliffhangers. They stay feeling flat. Carlton is so corny to me. I didn't like him the first time he was introduced and I still don't. Probably an unpopular opinion, but the Anita solo was completely unnecessary. I'm sure TT probably wanted to showcase that she does jazz, and maybe didn't want the fictional music of the Articulettes to be connected to her own work in real life. The Articulettes outfits are giving disco, but the sound is giving a whole decade later...definitely late 80s. It was fun to see the characters mingling in a new environment and they all looked great. Just emphasizes the need for more communal spaces on BTG.
  6. Soooo much better. The joy I felt watching a soap filmed in a unique location that matches and serves its purpose vs. the disappointment I felt when I saw that basic fashion show setup at the country club. I know this won't be a regular thing, but it is so nice to see.
  7. She is a riot!!! I have been laughing my butt off. Pretty sure the part where she tells Smitty she loves his shirt and it matches the seats was improv.
  8. I just came here to say this! The timeline can get so crazy on this soap. Also, I am pretty sure Dani established that the concert was that night when she went to Nicole and Martin. There was a similar instance around the secret reveal and death of Kenny where we had to believe so much took place within the same day that is was quite a stretch.
  9. Did anyone catch Anita's line yesterday about the studio in her home: "We added it when the prices were a little astronomical." 😆 Was this supposed to make Anita relatable? We know Anita didn't come from privelege and she grew up in struggle, but she found stardom young and is clearly very rich. I was like really? Oh yeah, I have a whole studio in my home, but don't get it twisted...I got it when prices were less outrageous....Okay girl.
  10. What would be the stakes of that? Are we supposed to care all that much about Jessica? I already kinda don't care that June or Regina might be Ty and Sam's mom. Personally, if it turns out that June is Jessica's mom that would be such a nothingburger. It hasn't even been hinted that Jessica was also adopted.
  11. Going to catch it on Paramount+ now. I've forgotten how not too long ago if you had a partial preemption, you just watched what was shown. There was no easy way to watch later.
  12. I actually found it to be ridiculous in the opposite sense. Your mom/grandma is about to have a one in a lifetime performance and they're all so nonchalant about it. Some things you put your differences aside and you show up for. That's just my opinion.
  13. The whole turnaround was way too fast. They went from not wanting to talk to each other to now allowing Anita to do the one thing that ruined them to begin with. I thought this night was about the Articulettes not Anita Williams.
  14. I also thought that was weird. Leave them open to having family that can expand the canvas. Seemed weird to isolate them in that way and prematurely stunt them from growing if need be. Also, I cannot get behind whatever reason Anita was using to push this solo performance. Ok, so what if your kids/grandkids never seen you perform your jazz stuff in that scale? You are about to perform your girl group stuff up on a stage for them! Sharon and Tracy admitted just to being backup singers anyway. Also, those ladies did a complete 180 on their attitude towards Anita. Really inorganic. Wasn't the whole point of this concert to give Tracy and Sharon their due, their moment, the ability to shine once more...now Anita wants to do a whole solo? It's messed up. I swear this is just the show's way of giving TT a way to showcase some of her stuff, but they could have done that in a different way.
  15. How I feel about Dani reading Martin: He was running around just fine before the secret was out, like show up for your gran.
  16. CBS in NYC is interrupted by a weather advisory. Might have to catch the beginning of today's episode later.
  17. Agreed. This is your mom's big comeback gig. There is a time and place to be petty and something big and momentous like this isn't it.
  18. Yep! It was such an ugly move.
  19. What the hell was Anita thinking asking the Articulettes about performing solo? Anita said she would only do this concert for the Articulettes. This was all about making things right with them. She turned that guy down and she was right. She could have told the girls if she wanted to, but now she's fishing in hopes they say sure go ahead. I don't know if this is to show us how selfish Anita really is, just clueless writing that doesn't see how they are actually painting Anita, or just a way for the show to get TT a way to showcase her voice. Overall, it's just bad.
  20. I guess I'm in the minority here, because I did not think today's episode of Leave It to the Duprees was that great. I'm always down for a lighthearted episode where we can just see characters mingle and bond, but some of it was too cheesy. Fashionsita Chelsea comes in rocking her bedazzled jorts and calls out the Articulette's outfits for being dated and just up and changes them in minutes. Meanwhile, we already know the Articulettes are gonna come out looking like this: The most tension came from Smitty not wanting to go to Anita's concert and in comes Vernon to save the day. I kind of hate this angle of Nicole being Martin's therapist - like major conflict of interest there. Obviously, Martin isn't paying for her services, but it is still not advised to treat a child as a patient. The relationship is too close to do it well. Also, Nicole just needs to be his damn mother. Nicole as a professional should know that Martin should be seeing a therapist that does not know him personally so he could get the actual help he needs. She is a well connected woman and can find someone with ease. Just from a viewer's perspective, I don't want to see Nicole be Martin's therapist either, I want her to be his mom.
  21. What's put you off the character so much? I agree she's become a little cartoonish lately, but TMG is entertaining to watch.
  22. Andre needs to just leave IMO. I can't take that character at all. Now Keith being Kat's boyfriend
  23. Leslie did an episode or two ago. She mentioned that she had a feeling that Kat was involved in messing with the accreditation. She told Ted that Eva didn't directly say Kat did it, but she knows her daughter.
  24. Okay, well, ummmm...that hundredth episode didn't hit but congrats are due anyway. I sorta feel like Kat, yep we did a thing but I wasn't really feeling it. Eva was too emotional over Tomas. Like girl get a grip. They've hardly developed any sort of meaningful relationship for her to feel that way. It may be a fault on the show's part for not developing that dynamic more fully for the viewer before giving us this torn up Eva moment or it might just be that I think Tomas ain't s.hit. Yikes, Alex's acting is rooougghh. I honestly couldn't tell whether the words he was telling Kat were genuine or if he was playing her by saying all the stuff he thinks she wants to hear. The man was just reading words off the page. Joey has got to be the least intimidating mobster in all of DMV. The Joey and Doug scenes came across more humorous than foreboding.
  25. Tomas ain't [!@#$%^&*]. Why is he even having this conversation with Eva and again saying wayyyy too much.
