Ohh that is ick, but GL seems to be ok with having different generations hook up, I'm noticing haha. I wonder if Frank or Eleni were ok with this Yep! March 1995 she was pregnant, although my guess is that she'll lose the baby. Ed and Eve were leaving the hospital to get married at the courthouse and she collapsed (that's where I'm at now), so it seems like she's having complications.

I was just coming back to say that the show just answered my question haha - A-M said he's almost reaching 30 with no kids. I was even more surprised to hear he's not 30 yet, but running an entire company. Granted, it's a family business but still, that's a stretch haha. I assumed he was mid-30s. Sad to hear he never has children! LOL that's awesome. I'm a guy and all my friends either like Star Trek and sports or like soap operas and housewives, I just can't find a good mix of both Out to dinner, so will have to pick back up on GL tomorrow! I'm up to March 31st, 1995 and the preemptions seem to have stopped, thankfully! Ready for April!

Sadly, no. I've seen their intros and love them, but never got a chance to watch AW before it was cancelled. I made that ranking in my signature back in 2007 I think. I should probably update it, because GL might just find its way higher now! Spot on - he is too much and just needs to calm down and stop screaming all his lines for no reason haha. Good to know about his fling before with Alexandra, makes this make more sense to me. Does Alan-Michael have any kids at this point? He hasn't mentioned any, and he seems lonely right now, sadly pining after Lucy when he knows he shouldn't go after her. I feel for the guy haha.

Ugh - I'm in late March 1995 right now and there are only partial or short clip episodes. I think I hit the time when the OJ Simpson trial preempted things, which is highly annoying haha. I hate missing episodes. I just met a few legacy characters, so I assume: Ed and Eve, who work at the hospital and she just found out she's pregnant. Lillian who also works at the hospital and seems to be hiding a secret. Henry, Vanessa's father... Dinah is so messy and I'm enjoying it more and more. The actress is coming into her own. She's trying to seduce Roger right now and Blake just listened in on their phone call. Blake vs. Dinah is a fun watch. I'm really enjoying everything I'm seeing so far except the character of Fletcher. He seems to be the patron saint that everyone reveres. He just left the newspaper and everyone is begging him to come back and threatening to quit if he doesn't return. Alexandra seems to have a history with him and is jealous of Holly wanting him again. What turns me off is how the actor just yells his lines a lot - it's annoying. I really love watching Alan-Michael realize how he's falling for Lucy and is working to fight his feelings by enforcing the 'no relationships in the workplace' thing. He's so jealous of Brent and Lucy. Oh how could I forget BSG too - one of the best TV shows of all-time! Another reason for me to go find a late 80's episode just to see her on GL!

Mind blown - I had to read that a few times before it sunk in hahaha. Phillip isn't on the show right now in 1995, but he's the guy who played Alec McIntyre on AMC, right - Grant Alexander? I didn't realize he was an adopted Spaulding. So Blake really got around with that family huh - slept with the dad, married both sons 🤣

March 6, 1995 - we have a new Eleni! Where did the other actress go - guessing she tried to make it into primetime? Dinah is messy!!! It's wild that she dated Alan-Michael in high school, and Blake just mentioned she used to be married to Alan-Michael, yet she's now married to Dinah's dad. GL either does a lot of SORAS'ing or they just love getting different generations together romantically haha.

This is great! I'm really starting to wish I went back to at least 1993 haha. I need to go find some clips of Bev McKinsey in the role of Alexandra. Marj is great and I love the character, and I bet Bev was amazing too. That is so awesome how she was a nobody in the early 90s in this role. You can tell she was destined to be a star because she's great in this day role.

I'm now on March 3, 1995 (15 episodes in), and I'm still really enjoying it. Soaps in the 90s just really had good pacing, interesting storylines, great actors, good sets... really makes it easy to get hooked. During the media awards ceremony, Holly and Roger just broke up because Fletcher admitted he was the man that Holly slept with. From what you all have said, and what I've read online, I know Roger has done lots of terrible things, but in this moment and only seeing him for 3 weeks of story, I feel bad for the guy haha. His jealousy and obsession with knowing the truth did in him. I'm getting Adam Chandler (AMC) vibes from Roger - would that be accurate or am I off? Fletcher annoys me - he is always loud - and he's coming across as the bad guy to me (in how he spilled the beans, gloated and is just generally moody). Is Fletcher related to anyone on the scene right now? He seems to be an island outside of having co-worker friends (Tanjie/Nick) and being paired with Holly. They just had a random man named Carrol pop up at the diner and flirt with Nadine. Who is this guy and what is his connection to Springfield? I'm on the fence with him so far, but he got Buzz angered and this seems to drive Buzz/Nadine to finalize their divorce. Starting to get to know Sid and Gilly now - she won her media award and is being pressured to move to LA, which is straining their relationship. I recognize Gilly from her AMC days! Watching Vincent, Marcy, Marj and Amelia together on another soap is so fun! The Greece storyline seems to have wrapped - Christo let Eleni and Frank go after Frank came in to save the day, but of course they left it open with Christo saying one day he'll have Eleni again... Frank is another one that's really handsome! I'm really into the Josh/Annie pairing - its slow right now, but they have great chemistry. It is pretty weird listening to Bridget/Mark talk about his relationship with Vanessa when she's sharing custody of her son with Vanessa, but I know I didn't get to see that backstory of that adoption. They keep referencing the 5th Street fire, and I'm getting an itch to go back a couple months to watch that unfold, but I'll refrain haha. OMG - Allison Janney is on GL playing the house maid! How funny, I never knew that. Was she a GL fan, or had she not become a big celebrity by then?

Thank you PJ and Mitch for the backstory details - very helpful. PJ - when did you start your rewatch and where are you now? I will say, the exposition in the dialogue has actually been helpful. I know we always roll our eyes and have a hard time as live daily viewers when the writers lay that on thick, but now going back to watch years ago, it's helpful. I love to hear it

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Ohh I like these! I don't mind the new graphics, although the title card for each lady is giving me Asian vibes - like Chinese with all the red graphics and their outfits... which is fine of course haha, but just what it reminds me of.

Wait, Blake is Holly and Roger's daughter?? Wow, they all seem the same age to me haha. I just did some research and Holly and Ross were together and Blake went after her mom's man LOL. They really like the daughter's going after mother's men on this show haha. I know this is like a little blip in time at GL, but now that I'm watching and in the weeds, just couldn't help but comment on what I'm seeing.

Ah interesting. So who is Hart's mother and is she around? So this must be the Bridget I'm seeing pal around with Lucy and David right now. So if she and Matt are siblings, and she's Peter's mother, does that mean Vanessa is technically his adopted mother and step-aunt? Or said another way, he's her son and step-nephew. How soapy haha. I guess I'm assuming Vanessa/Matt get married in that scenario - it doesn't appear they are right now, just dating.

Thank you! So why would Vanessa still be living in the same house as Josh? Although Dinah did just make a joke that everyone seems to be living in this mansion 🤣 And how is Roger already a grandfather? He doesn't seem old enough, but this is a soap haha. Who is his son/daughter? I wish I could go back farther in time, but I had to make a choice and stick with it haha. I almost decided on 1993, but I said no, I committed to this journey for a reason and I had to draw the line somewhere. Here is a link to the playlist I'm watching. Bummer there isn't something more clear out there quality-wise, but I'll take what I can get. I'd even pay a fee if there was something better out there.

Whelp, I got hooked. Thanks to this YT channel that has daily full episodes, I decided to give it a try. I'm a slut for the 90s, especially that era of soap operas, and GL isn't disappointing. I like how there is a mix of corporate/rich and middle income with reporters/police officers/diner owners. Makes things more relatable. I wanted to start from Brent's first episode, which is Feb 14, 1995. But, I decided to back up to the Friday before to get an idea of the storylines and see that cliffhanger, so I started with Feb 10, 1995. Plus, I knew Reva returns soon after in April 1995, so figured this was the perfect time. I watched through Feb 21 (8 episodes) today and I'm really enjoying everything. Alan-Michael seems to have taken over running the family business and has a feud with his father. Wish I knew that backstory, but I'll figure it out. He seems to have a secret crush on Lucy, but is pushing her away and encouraged Brent to ask her on a date. Here it starts... I'm glad I started on Feb 10, because I got to see Josh and Annie's first flirtatious encounter and then subsequent date. They have real chemistry, so I'm excited to see where this goes. I'm probably just enamored by Robert Newman though, he is so attractive and has tons of charisma. Nick and Mindy are trying to adopt a baby which seems to be bringing them back together from some apparent rocky relationship, although Nick doesn't seem as sure about this idea as Mindy does. I don't know their backstory, but Alexandra seems to be happy with this and I love watching Vincent/Marj together again. Eleni is mysteriously held up in Greece on an island and trying to compromise with Christo, who is ruining her family. Frank just left for Greece to find her. This story is giving me gothic vibes. So far so good. Holly just chose Roger over Fletcher, but Roger knows she has a secret that she isn't telling (that she slept with Fletcher). Tanjie just arrived back in town and knows the secret, so Roger is pressing her. This story is a little slow for me, mostly because I don't know the backstory, but the Fletcher character seems annoying so far. I did LOL at this random scene of Roger with his secret Japanese mentor or something, and this knife magically appears and they're talking in shadows. No idea what that was about, but it was LOL to me. There is a couple - Vanessa and Matt - who seem to have just fallen in love. Is she older than him? I'm getting the vibe there is an age difference that not everyone in Springfield likes. What is her relationship to Josh? They seem to be living in the same house right now. Dinah just showed up from Paris and is meeting everyone. She seems mysterious/has a secret. I'm really enjoying it - I can't believe I'm going to start this journey, but here we go. My goal is to get through the Brent/Marion storyline in 1996 and see how I feel. Oh - does anyone know if there is another site/place that has higher quality episodes? These YT videos are slightly blurry just given how old they are, which is doable but not ideal. I wish I could see faces more clearly, especially when the camera is zoomed in on their faces or when it's dark outside/inside.
