  1. 100%! Angela stays winning for me. Brit and her family scenes were a snooze, I don't know these people and don't care about them since Brit sucks and we haven't seen their backstory before.
  2. Ok, I know nothing about Another World except their catchy intro song from long ago, but this makes me want to catch! That crazy mother keeping her son's girlfriend or wife hostage, wow!
  3. Might be a long shot, because I can't find a thing online about it, but I was Googling the actress that played Nell Cleary (Frank's cop friend that went through academy and then became cops together during the entire Brent Lawrence storyline). To my surprise, she passed away in 2011, at the very young age of 45. I can't find her obituary or anything online about her passing, but I'm curious, does anyone know what happened? Her IMDB only shows a few other acting gigs post-Guiding Light, so she didn't make a career out of it, but I thought she was a great actress in her role as Cleary. Her name was Mary Peterson.
  4. I also thought Dubai was boring. Brooks and her antics seemed fake to me. Sara and her friend were a dud. The only thing I liked was Taleen - she was a great, comfortable first year housewife, and then Stanbury/Sergio are always fun to watch for me.
  5. I just got to it! Assuming you mean the scene where they got into Marian's computer and it's Beaty's Marian saying "Very good, you guessed the magic word. Today, the role of Marian Crane is being played by..." and then Wolf's Brent saying "Brent Lawrence. That's right folks, I'm baaaack. And I have Lucy..." This makes me want to know even MORE about the behind the scenes. Like did Beaty already film the Marian clip while he was dressed up, but then they couldn't film his Brent scene so they used Wolf? I don't hate it, I really like that they were able to use Beaty's Marian in that way. And LOL yes, the LESBIAN question, so funny. This story's climatic ending is really paying off. I'm not to the end yet, but enjoying the ride. Yeah, I'm not liking the Bridget now that is willing to cave and start doing the wrong thing. We'll see what happens... Very true on the spectrum of sexuality. If they went with that story, it makes me wonder how they'd have gotten Abby brushed up on ASL in order to communicate. I don't think I could have handled the made up sign language and communication confusion scenes during his rehab. But true - it would have reminded me of Jonathan Lavery on AMC, although they were able to use a brain tumor or something as the scapegoat/way to cure his evil side.
  6. I agree! I'm excited to see if Nicole forgives Ted, if Ted accepts Eva, if Kat accepts Eva, what happens with Leslie... if Martin's story will play into any of this...
  7. Me too - Andre is a nice guy and I love to see it.
  8. Wait, was Nicole really there in that scene with Leslie or was she just talking to herself? Nicole vanished.
  9. I agree 100%. Same! Except I don't think Ted is strong here. He needs more shock, resentment, scared, anger, panic...
  10. So now all the grandchildren on this show hate their fathers - yikes.
  11. Thank you!! Same! I need a strong reaction from her. Go slap someone and then break down!
  12. Ambyr Michelle (Eva) is also killing it today! Emmy reel-worthy!
  13. Ohhh ok, well that worked out well! Hahaha. Ted to Martin: "Now isn't the time". Uhhh, Ted, this is THE time. What is wrong with you haha.
  14. Eva is going to come out clean. So I'm confused, is Leslie really Eva's mom or not? Eva thinks her parents died and Leslie raised her as a mom, right? Or are they both in on the lie there? But clearly Eva is Ted/Leslie's real child.
  15. I mean, regardless of preemptions, today definitely feels like a Friday! Wow.
  16. Trish Mann-Grant is killing it today! Emmy reel-worthy!
  17. LOL yes!!! They know when to move into action, for any scandal. Totally agree, that made me feel much better about it all.
  18. LOL Vernon, Anita and Dani getting up like superheroes to handle the situation - they are experts at dealing with this stuff. I wish Nicole stood up to both of them and demanded answers like a boss b!tch vs. caving and crying into Anita's shoulder before really knowing the details.
  19. Aww I feel bad for Eva. Nicole's boobs are pushed up so tight that her veins are showing. I hope she's comfortable, goodness.
  20. Oh good and now Naomi is here! Phew.
  21. I can see the need for a Ted recast *ducks*. He doesn't seem that concerned. This is fun though! Ok at least they show Vanessa in the hospital and not just randomly missing (like Kat was at the last party). Vanessa's roots are really showing today!
  22. Ohh this looks good! I'm here for Kelli taking down Brit! Charles cheating! Can't wait to see all of this. Interesting no Cynthia, but she narrates it as the friend of...
  23. Ok nevermind, Wolf is in Marian's getup on the Jan 9th episode. Lucy wakes up at the lighthouse and it's now Marian, drinking tea, and sounding like an old British woman a la Mrs. Doubtfire 😂 Wolf is actually doing a good job as Brett, but I don't think they made him look like a believable Marian - its too clown/drag, but also creepier - and Wolf has a large nose they couldn't hide. I guess at this point, it didn't matter since she was unhinged and revealing him/herself anyway.
  24. Thanks! Uh oh, is this the Gilly storyline everyone seemed to hate? We'll see how I feel, but for now, I'm just glad Vivian and Gilly have screen time! They've been sorely underused in 1995. I noticed in the end credits recently that the actress playing Vivian is on contract while her husband is recurring. I haven't warmed up to the Griffin character, as he's quite pushy and not overly endearing yet. I'm not quite sure if Wolf dons the Marian getup, I'll let you know, but I'm going to doubt it. They've all now realized Marian is a man, and Brent left his wigs/clothing at the house and he now has Lucy hostage in the lighthouse as Brent. I actually found an interview from 2023 that Frank Beaty did with this online Italian group who are big GL fans. I was quite shocked and happy to run across this! Frank seems to be a really nice man. The interview is a bit of a slog, because half of it is the co-host translating back and forth. But here are some pretty fascinating facts that Frank mentions: -He originally auditioned for the role of Matt Reardon, but didn't get it. The producers remembered his audition and offered him the role of Brent Lawrence later. How interesting! -He was offered a second year on the show, but declined. He wanted to find meaning in life, research his faith and start a new chapter in life. He said declining the second year was ultimately one of his biggest regrets. The storyline offered to him was Brent's rehabilitation in a facility that Amish Abigail was going to work in and help him with, and she and Brent were going to become friends... how interesting that could have been! -He was very close with Rick Hearst and Sonia Satra, almost like the three musketeers. -Makeup for Marian took 3 hours each time. Between the time commitment of that, the pressure of the show, and his personal life which was going through some really hard times, he said he had a nervous breakdown and couldn't continue functioning on set. He was very complimentary of Mark Wolf replacing him. -Frank is currently getting back into acting and is excited about his future (although 2 years later now, curious to see if anything came out of this). He's dating a woman in Paris, long-distance. Honestly wasn't sure if Frank was gay or not, but I guess this helps give insight there.
  25. LOL - about right! 🤣
