  1. Peg Murray (Olga) seemed to be on AMC for a long time. Does anyone know the years she appeared?
  2. Clayton Prince had a lot of talent and charisma and Reuben had so much potential. Here is an interview with Clayton about his time in Bay City. He talks about how plans for his character changed from being Pilar's abuser. Part 1 http://www.anotherworldtoday.com/awt_interviews.html Part 2 http://www.anotherworldtoday.com/awt_interviews.html
  3. Does anyone know the names of all the Kinnecott siblings who appeared on the show?
  4. Harding Lemay brought her back to help reintroduce Iris. Donna Swajeski kept her around for 2 years. I’m not sure if it was budget or lack of interest for supporting characters like Vivien from Swajeski that lead to Vivien no longer appearing.
  5. Evans was my favourite Alan-Michael too. I wonder if they ever tried to get him back.
  6. I thought the black characters were well written, interesting and prominent from 1982-86. In 1986 Thomasina, Carter, Grant II and Lily were written out but it looked like things were promising for Quinn with the introduction of Zack Edwards and his family. Then Quinn was killed (do not get me started!) in 1987 and Zack and his romances (Ronnie, Courtney) were never front and centre and he eventually left in 1990. It wasn't until 1997 with the introduction of Toni Burrell that black characters were prominent again. The show was a mess from 1995-99 but there were interesting black characters those last couple of years - Chris, Rita, Toni, Etta Mae, Tyrone and then KC during the last few months.
  7. I loved Michele Shay (Henrietta). She was a talented actress and Henrietta was a unique character.
  8. Another World was a mess for most of Corinne Jacker’s head writing stint but she did create an interesting black family with the Morgans (Bob, Henrietta, RJ & Mary Sue), gave them front burner stories, elevated Quinn to a lead character and gave her a brother (Ed) and an adopted daughter (Thomasina).
  9. Thank you. Wasn't Kiki murdered on the Haunted Star?
  10. Was the apartment Ric showed Ava the one Dex used to live in or the one Chase used to live it? Or a different apartment all together?
  11. Agreed. I never saw Judith Barcroft as Lenore and I would have been very happy to see her during the 25th anniversary episodes. I was always interested when the show used characters and actors from the past - even those I had no connection to.
  12. In every interview I have read Susan basically says Maggie was getting repetitive so she left. I would not be surprised if money was also an issue - Gregory Harrison would not have come cheap but I have not seen anything from her to back that up. However, before posting maybe look for something to corroborate your statements. It will help reduce the number of arguments on this thread.
  13. I thought it was Susan Sullivan's choice to leave Falcon Crest. Has Susan said otherwise in an interview?
  14. Judith Bancroft is one of a long list of popular former AW actors who would have returned if the writers and producers understood the show's history.
  15. I agree! I’m enjoying slimy Drew and how he is pissing off the Qs.
  16. I am hoping to get an answer to this as well!
  17. Your joy watching these episodes for the first time is what I love to see on here. You have so much good stuff ahead of you. 1989 is filled with great stories, events, returns, goodbyes and a few wonderful new characters. In my opinion it is the last year where popular actors from the 60s, 70s and 80s are represented.
  18. Donna it is not my job to police inappropriate and thoughtless comments on here. However, the more I see of them the less time I want to spend reading these threads.
  19. This is how you write for the Quartermaines. Finally.
  20. You realize that it is Drake the rapper and not Drake from Days?
  21. I wish I could find the interview Beverly Penberthy gave when she was fired. She held a mini press conference and blasted the show.
  22. My earliest memory of Another World is in 1977 and I remember so much from that point on. However, I have zero memory of Pat (Beverly Penberthy), John (Michael M Ryan) or Russ (David Bailey). I think it is so odd considering how important they were. When I saw the 25th anniversary episodes with Beverly and then later YouTube episodes I was so impressed with her.
