  1. I am in Canada and was planning on streaming BTG Iive on CHCH.com. However, the website is not loading. It was loading fine an hour ago. I hope it is because the demand for BTG has overwhelmed the site and it gets fixed in the next 45 minutes!
  2. I’m in Canada and I was able to watch them on YouTube. correction: I was able to watch the versions posted on YouTube by Entertainment Tonight. Not the CBS ones.
  3. I do not agree about Lenore Kasdorf's Caroline was a dud on Santa Barbara. The Dobson's created a character with an interesting backstory and Lenore had great chemistry with Nicolas Coster. Caroline had the potential to be a long term Lockridge matriarch but Anne Howard Bailey screwed all of that up and then killed Caroline and wrote out the Lockridges.
  4. Thank you for providing these links. I am completely impressed by everything I have seen so far. Just wow!
  5. Was it Kobe and Long who also brought Texas actors Jerry Lanning and Lisby Larson to Guiding Light?
  6. DePriest really ended the Sally & Catlin story horribly. Instead of killing Sally she should have had her find out that Catlin got Brittany pregnant and left town with Kevin. Brittany could then have been written as getting her strength back and leaving Peter and starting a new life outside of Bay City. Sharon Gabet deserved to end her run with her character having some dignity.
  7. I just finished reading the Somerset thread on here and it looks like Marsha has story of her own.
  8. The Another World Homepage does not list Alice Hirson as being one of the cross over actors who appeared on Another World before or after the launch of Somerset.
  9. An original cast member has passed away. https://soapoperanews.net/2025/02/15/alice-hirson-dies-gh-oltl-alum-was-95/
  10. I just finished this entire thread. I only began watching in 1982 so I knew very little about the first 12 years. Thanks to all of you for filling in the blanks. In my opinion the biggest mistake Agnes and her protégés made was not giving Anne, Linc and Chuck a few children each. The Tyler’s were fascinating and entertaining. The Kanes and Martins were prominent at the end but there were no Tyler’s left in Pine Valley.
  11. On the reboot did they explain how Billy Clyde survived the explosion that supposed killed him? I thought his dead body had washed up and was found.
  12. I have no intel. I suspect the organizer got in over her head. Also, in all fairness she did say she had a few deaths in her family so I can see how that could impact her ability to finalize everything.
  13. I have not received my video. I reached out to Karen last October and she was very unpleasant. She told me she was providing updates on social media and I told her I do not follow her so those updates are useless to me. She offered me a refund which I declined because I want the video. I have not heard a thing from her since.
  14. I noticed that as well. It makes me a bit concerned for her.
  15. Peg Murray (Olga) seemed to be on AMC for a long time. Does anyone know the years she appeared?
  16. Clayton Prince had a lot of talent and charisma and Reuben had so much potential. Here is an interview with Clayton about his time in Bay City. He talks about how plans for his character changed from being Pilar's abuser. Part 1 http://www.anotherworldtoday.com/awt_interviews.html Part 2 http://www.anotherworldtoday.com/awt_interviews.html
  17. Does anyone know the names of all the Kinnecott siblings who appeared on the show?
  18. Harding Lemay brought her back to help reintroduce Iris. Donna Swajeski kept her around for 2 years. I’m not sure if it was budget or lack of interest for supporting characters like Vivien from Swajeski that lead to Vivien no longer appearing.
  19. Evans was my favourite Alan-Michael too. I wonder if they ever tried to get him back.
  20. I thought the black characters were well written, interesting and prominent from 1982-86. In 1986 Thomasina, Carter, Grant II and Lily were written out but it looked like things were promising for Quinn with the introduction of Zack Edwards and his family. Then Quinn was killed (do not get me started!) in 1987 and Zack and his romances (Ronnie, Courtney) were never front and centre and he eventually left in 1990. It wasn't until 1997 with the introduction of Toni Burrell that black characters were prominent again. The show was a mess from 1995-99 but there were interesting black characters those last couple of years - Chris, Rita, Toni, Etta Mae, Tyrone and then KC during the last few months.
  21. I loved Michele Shay (Henrietta). She was a talented actress and Henrietta was a unique character.
  22. Another World was a mess for most of Corinne Jacker’s head writing stint but she did create an interesting black family with the Morgans (Bob, Henrietta, RJ & Mary Sue), gave them front burner stories, elevated Quinn to a lead character and gave her a brother (Ed) and an adopted daughter (Thomasina).
