Today's episode: I enjoyed it, LOVED seeing Pat in a more central role and as the woman of experience in the cell. It was funny when they were talking about their sexual escapades, and Pat seemed like the wildest. She was the objective one in the room, trying to comfort both Janine and Stacey in different ways. I'm glad that it seems that Kirkwood sees Pat as a character that can be applied to many different situations. Stacey's rape revelation was well-done with the close-ups of everyone. Eventually, this will have to be a red flag for someone that she could have killed him. I think Kat's reaction and the look on her face was fitting, and she looked the most reluctant to "forget it" and "never mention it again" when Stacey told everyone to do that. That should be Kat's reaction, given her history with sexual abuse. I'm glad that they acknowledged that Janine and Stacey have had very similar experiences in their lives. You can tell they were both afraid of Lily bonding with Ryan for every different reasons too. I thought Billy's panic attack was very well-acted and well-done. The self-pitying can get annoying sometimes, but that's who Billy is. I didn't quite know what to make of Ryan and Lily and their bonding. I was glad for the mentions of Pete, Kenny, and Lou Beale, as well as the mentions of Little Mo and Jamie.

Billy deserves better than having a son that's Tanya's new boytoy, thus forced into that orbit.

According to his Twitter, Daniel Brocklebank is joining the show. According to Sharon Marshall, he's invovled in Billy's storyline and could be his long-lost son, or a friend of Billy's long lost son or something. http://twitter.com/Dan_Brocklebank/status/27766173578

I think she'll live in deep shame afterwards, especially since she doesn't particularly like Connor and partly blames him for Billie's life being a mess when he was alive (which is unfair, IMO, Billie's the only one to squarely blame). She probably resents that he's the person that was closely available in her time of need and that she was the one to take advantage of that situation.

Someone on Walford Web once did a chart that showed how connected or related everyone on the show was to Pat. I wish I could find it, but she's really the character that knows most of the canvas on the show pretty well or she's related to them in some way.

Today's episode was hilarious, and we needed a light bit of fun after the last week. Carol was still on moping about Billy, so they didn't gloss over it, but I enjoyed the banter and fights at R&R. Oh, look, boring as hell Christian and Syed put in their token appearance for the month. I saw the fun dimension of Kat that we really haven't seen since her return today. There was a certain Kat Slater glow from the early 00's present today. Her trading insults with Janine was hilarious. She was crazy to get into a fight while pregnant though, but she's never able to resist one anyway. Poor Charlie and no one wanting to eat his food. It's important to note that Janine was ALWAYS jealous of the Slater sisters and how close they were in the early 00's. She had several scuffles with Lynne at the cafe, Little Mo over Billy, and with Zoe. I think she always resented how close they were, when no one in her own family really gave her any attention. We saw that again today with Kat and Stacey teaming up against her. Billy and Janine did always have somewhat of a friendship, and in a way, I can see why they supported one another tonight. They're both outsiders that people think of as pathetic losers. Billy has really hit rock bottom after Julie dropped that bombshell on him. Perry plays a good drunk. You can't help but feel sorry for Billy, even when he's acting stupid. I'm glad Janine called Roxy a pathetic fag-hag. There's a lot of women like her out there that get insanely jealous when their gay best friend brings along their boyfriend to an event. I'm not even mad at Roxy for spiking Syed's orange juice, he's boring as hell and needs something resembling a personality. I thought Bianca rushing over to R&R just so she could punch Billy was pretty unnecessary, but at least it got Pat in the mix of things. I have to say it again how much I love how well-integrated Pat is and how much she's used for various supporting purposes these days. It was great that Charlie left Lily with her. It's going to be great tomorrow to see her in prison with Stacey, Kat, Janine, and Kim.

Looks like Kat's baby might die. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/view/158617/Eastenders-baby-heartache-for-2011/ She has horrible luck with kids. First she's raped by her uncle, and her parents raised her incest child as their own and force her to think of it as her sister, and she miscarried Anthony's child in 2003. I could see a story like this getting under Kat's skin though and bringing back out her multi-layered personality. Things have never gone right in her life, and most of the times when she thinks she'll be happy, it never lasts. Come to think of it, the way Kat was reintroduced with her hard personality, is similar to the way she was introduced in 2000. We didn't really get into her mind or under her skin until we found out about the Zoe/Harry stuff, and it took off from there.

I don't there's anything left for him on this show, same with Clare sadly...

This makes no sense...

Carol and Jim were never close until recently. Carol hated him when he first came on to the show. I can't understand why Jim displaying pictures of her other children and not of Billie would offend her in this way. Billie was never close to him or other members of her family as Sonia, Robbie, and Bianca were/are. Jim basically raised two of Carol's children for years when she wasn't on the show, neither of which being Billie. Carol deals with her grief by taking it out on others, which makes it realistic, since many do that, but I have a soft spot for Jim and Dot. Part of Jim's backstory was that he favoured some of the Branning children over the others. Max and Carol were the children he didn't favour. Jim's lasted on the show for so long without the other Branning/Jackson's, so I have a certain partiality to him and to Dot. He's not the racist prick he used to be, as evident by his close friendship with Patrick.

It's going to be tough watching Carol yelling at Jim and calling him a racist next week (which he was for a huge chunk of his life). I hear Dot kicks her ass out of the house after that. I feel very sad when Jim is on, John Bardon's health is obviously so poor - he can't talk and can barely move. It's going to be tough watching Carol go off on a fragile old man.

Billy and Little Mo's relationship will always be my favourite pairing of his. They both had a bad self-esteem, yet made one another feel so worthy, and he really helped her recover from the abuse she received from Trevor, and she helped him feel wanted for the first time in his life. Too bad they really f.ucked them up. Billy was also once Jamie Mitchell's guardian, who he abused, hence that child abuse side coming out again recently on Jay. Billy lives in regret over what he did to Jamie. Jamie died on the day Billy and Little Mo got married - Christmas 2002. Billy was hesitant to carry on with the wedding after he heard the condition Jamie was in, but he eventually got to make some peace with Jamie. In one of the RARE moments I felt sorry for Sonia, it was touching when Jamie died in her arms on the hospital bed, as Little Mo and Billy got married. Living with Honey, she just left town and never said where she was going, but she was living with her father.

There was this horrific ass down syndrome story from 2006, that even the then Series Producer of Corrie, (now EP of Emmerdale) Steven Frost, publicly came out and called "sh!t." His ex-wife Honey rejected Janet at first and wanted her put up for adoption, but Billy was reluctant. Billy has two kids with his ex-wife Honey, Janet (the one with downs) and William, who was born a year or so after Janet. Now he has this long lost older son with Julie. I believe Little Mo's son though rape, Freddie, also sports the Michelle last name. When Little Mo first decided to keep her rape baby, Billy was supportive and was still her husband, but eventually he couldn't deal with it, and they eventually separated and divorced.
