I doubt he's going wherever the hell Stacey will be or wherever Zoe is. I wonder if they're keeping the Slater house for the Slater's with Jean coming back next year and all...

Aw, he hasn't had much to do in years, but I will miss Charlie. The Slater's and the time they originally hit the show and helped to give it a new life will always be near and dear to my heart. I will always hold them as the last successfully introduced soap family. I wonder what makes Charlie leave. Kat looks a lot like her 02-05 self in those pics. They've toned her down recently and she seems like her old self again.

Dot has been very lonely since Bradley died and even more lonely since Liz left. It looks like it's finally catching up with her, all she does it look after Jim. I don't know exactly where they're headed, but she has some upcoming scenes with Pat after Pat finds out that Dot being Dot and "not one to gossip!" should have a parade with that one.

November apparently axed Malandra Burrows who played Kathy Glover for 16 years and was the longest serving female member of the cast during his Series Producer stint at Emmerdale...

Steve November was hated by a lot of Corrie fans during his time as Series Producer over there. He's the EP though, so it's possible he'll stop in for the transition period, but he'll likely name a successor very soon I'd guess.

I'm kind of surprised, but happy as well. Jean works well as the quirky supporting character. So much of her existence has been based on Stacey though, so it should be interesting to see what they do with her when Stacey's not there. At least it means they'll still be more of a Slater presence on the show. I know they also extended Charlie's exit according to Derek Martin.

I do think Ian has treated most of the women in his life like crap though. He and Cindy were a toxic combination, they were both responsible for what happened to that marriage, even though Cindy was slightly psychotic and misunderstood, I think Ian partly pushed her over the edge on several osscasions. The way he treated Laura, who I hate anyway, was just degrading as well. Jane has gotten better treatment, but she is right that Ian is generally dismissive of her and doesn't really think of her as an equal partner in their marraige

Yes, there were times I felt more sympathy for Cindy than Ian. Ian is a strange character in that he's an ass and does nasty things, but we're also told what an annoying wimp he is and how he'll never win against the likes of Phil. Although, sometimes it's hard to sympathize with Jane, given how obsessed she can be with having a baby.

Grateful that Kat's been mentioning her sisters these past few days, but still wish we'd get an appearance from at least Lynne or Belinda, even if just a visit.
