I have not been watching anything all summer. I always think summer is a really bad time for UK soaps, as they don't expect people to tune in, so they slap everything together in a haphazard way.

I'd much rather Lynne or Belinda, both of whom were very underused when compared to Little Mo, Kat, and Zoe. But I guess Zoe serves the most purpose given that Kat is the only original Slater on at the moment. But I could see how it could probably help Kat's character to have Zoe around, but at the same time, did Zoe ever really leave much of an impact on the show after the Kat/Zoe reveal? She seemed to have a lot of screentime, while be absolutely useless at the same time. But she was always good with the sisters in a supporting role, especially with Kat. Zoe's love life on the other hand? Not so much... Not to mention, Michelle has always said she would never return and how she wanted to move on in every interview. Then again, so did Patsy Palmer, and we saw what happened there... I wonder if this is even true...

I wonder how the Dobson's have fared at SEARCH, especially when it was being contemporized. Would it have been a smash like their GL, or a mixed bag like their ATWT?

Going all Bollywood now, even though I don't understand the Hindustani lyrics (Hindi/Urdu combo)... I'm glad Janine made Pat beg her for the money to give to Ricky. Both Pat and Ricky have been assholes to Janine since Lydia died and are first to condemn her with everything, yet when they need her help, they expect her to be giving? And Pat blames Janine for Ricky going to Dubai? What the hell? And god I hate Maisie Smith's acting. I normally just excuse child actors since they don't have much experience, but this girl always grates my last nerve. Can Tiffany and her stage school antics go away? They should do a two-hander between Janine and Pat before Pam St. Clement leaves at the end of the year.

Corrie has been getting the crap kicked out of it by the press lately. I haven't seen such vitriol thrown at a soap since EastEnders during the Louise Berridge era. She was the only sympathetic person in that original Christian/Syed storyline, but what can they do with her after she reveals that she had Syed's baby?

The show always had a mob element, dating back to the 80's, but it really intensified during the 2003-2006 era. This is actually an area of the show which Santer de-emphasized compared to his predecessors. It was started by Kate Harwood, but Santer produced like 80% of it.
