  1. Maya Wiley's very patient and kind if amused reactions to Nunberg's endless meltdown are a thing to behold as she slowly and gently explains to him why he needs to comply with his subpoena and may in fact be going to jail, but this shot in particular (with Nunberg to far right, next to a lost Ari Melber who's next to Wiley) says it all:
  2. It just keeps going.
  3. You're absolutely right, I'd forgotten - and I railed against it at the time.
  4. I could've sworn she did get it back and was at Llanview Hospital again, however briefly, in the early 2000s in a lame "Rear Window"-esque story set there involving illegal organ transplants with Michael McBain and Marcie Walsh. It was around then they began having her loudly tout her medical credentials more often.
  5. Thrilled for Peele and Del Toro. I would've been happy with most of the nominees for BP except Darkest Hour and Lady Bird, though. Kind of wish Get Out had edged Shape out on BP but they're both very deserving. Wish CMBYN and Timothee Chalamet had won for Best Actor, but that was never going to happen with Oldman and DDL in the race. At least James Ivory won.
  6. Very happy for Jordan Peele and James Ivory for Get Out and CMBYN.
  7. It was a bit mediocre IMO but there was very little to go off of and it was too brief to tell. That one money gag was silly.
  8. Allison Janney is always amazing but I Tonya is fun camp at best and Laurie Metcalf was robbed. At least the Roseanne trailer is coming up. Hope it looks decent.
  9. They're mostly wonderful nominees, so I'm actually invested this year. But I would especially be happy for Get Out, CMBYN, The Shape of Water and yes, Three Billboards, which I thought was excellent. The social media hue and cry over it is so forced. CMBYN and The Florida Project both deserve more than they'll get. Timothee Chalamet should win but they'll give it to Oldman for that lame biopic. Laurie Metcalf should and will win, but otherwise Lady Bird is just another quirky white indie like the 200 others the Oscars have awarded.
