  1. Meanwhile!
  2. After over 3 hours in line I am proud to say I voted in CA for Elizabeth Warren. I knew she was done and that Bernie had taken it, but fùck him and his misogynistic cult. Elizabeth made some of her own mistakes, but for my money she was and remains the best candidate and still has many proud days ahead in politics beyond this race. Casting a futile vote for her meant that much to me, and I’ve failed in politics before for lesser people. I’m not surprised at all that Joe came roaring back with the black vote, or that Bernie’s promises of the youth and Latino votes fell short. I’ve seen people whiplash in other forums from all sorts of bile and conspiracy theory about her and Buttigieg to doing a 360 yesterday and flat out begging the majority of posters they’ve abused to drop Warren and vote for Bernie. You can imagine my response. I have no sorrow tonight. She ran a good race in the face of media bias and a rock and a hard place, trying to thread the needle between pragmatists and diehard ideologues. She took torrents of abuse and venom, 24-7 snake emojis, misogyny and other recycled far left Clinton attacks I knew would come for her someday. (AOC, who has wisely begun to moderate, is next, and remember I told you so) She finished strong and she put Mike Bloomberg in the ground. I am so proud of her, and of Joe.
  3. I thought it was a very classy statement. I've had many, many issues with Matthews but I also have mixed feelings about him and always have. At the same time I think he'd gone too far, and it won't be surprising if more unsavory stories about him come out. He should've probably lost the job for some of his comments re: Clinton four years ago.

I'm not watching atm. I'll catch up eventually. The retcon is alright I guess, but I don't see the point and I'm annoyed they destroyed Gallifrey again. I wouldn't be surprised if all three ended up leaving.

Unconfirmed reports that Bradley Walsh and Tosin Cole are out in the next special.... 10 months away.
  6. She'll drop out before Bernie did. Strategically it makes sense to stay in to broker concessions.
  7. For the love of God:
  8. I can understand Buttigieg getting forced into a safe box as the first gay candidate. We all know how Obama had to constantly assuage white America's fears of a black man.
  9. Say what we will about Pete policy-wise - he was not my choice, and I had issues with him - but he is a decent man, and very important in terms of changing what's possible, and so is this:
  10. Good on Pete.
  11. I think he is, but don't know for sure.
  12. I knew the plot featured her character's son, who was a baby in the original, yet I was still surprised and pleased to see her.
  13. "#DropOutWarren" is trending from the usual suspects. I knew this would come when they started with the sugary sweet “listen you guys” pleas to do this several months ago.
  14. For @marceline if no one else, I've been waiting for this moment. Good for Joe. Eat it, Bernieworld. I can't believe they still offer up Cornel West for black support.
  15. Vanessa Williams (DOOL) can be seen here reprising my favorite of her roles in Jordan Peele's revival of one of my favorite horror movies:
  16. From '18 but relevant.
  17. Latter is from '18 but relevant.
  18. Warren is kicking ass tonight. Even Joe is occasionally getting off a good one. Sadly I don't feel it'll change trajectory. Bernie got hit on his gun control record and pivoted to Biden and Wall Street, and was shocked to be booed.
