It wasn't a scheme between them, is the whole point, which is what you suggested before. It's not that; it's the 2009 strategy again. McConnell knows Trump will lose so he blows up the talks. Run the country into the ground, then blame Biden. That's his only game now. That said, I'm not convinced this is the end of it. Trump has shít the bed for McConnell's plans before out of desperate self-preservation. He has no interest in helping the party, only himself. If he freaks out over the Dow he could blow this ploy up before November, too.

Oh, I think they'll get it eventually before 2021. But who knows how many of them will suffer or die in the process. We'll make them bleed for it. I just don't believe at this point it will be done by the election. I've felt good about the race for a long while now, but this is well beyond.

They're not going to get that SCOTUS seat before the election at this rate, and even if they did they're likely not going to have a margin for it to steal it in the courts. The latter is simply not going to happen. If people want to believe that with a landslide or even a very strong win from Dems that Trump can still manage to take the election to the courts and win, they can, but it's not reality. Trump is not running a plan with McConnell. McConnell had nothing to do with this. Trump blew this up solo. Like Nancy, I blame the roids. I agree. And now:
