Sean Ringgold is in everything these days.
I'm surprised Boys has apparently gotten mixed reviews. I'd assume it's media's natural knee-jerk ambivalence to the play being un-PC, to be honest, as they've had for years, but I have no idea.
I am so behind on the Marvel shows.

Also, did anyone ever reference Georgina when Ilene came back to OLTL as Roxy?
No, never. I do seem to recall there was a solaramite/Buchanan race car reference at one point during the Carlivati era (I think solaramite had powered Bo's magic race car) but I don't believe IK was in any way involved.
Nana Visitor from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine replaced Ilene as Georgina Whitman, IIRC.

Oh, that's right. She was staying there (I thought for school purposes) and she and Iva commiserated about Henry.

I just watched Meg's debut a few days ago. IIRC Meg was not long-lost, just away at school.

I'm only just getting to Kim learning the truth, but the scariest thing about Doug Cummings is how sweet and pleasant he often remains while talking casually about his madness. John Wesley Shipp remains a national treasure.

The island Pamela was from was Malakeva.
Asa's island, which was separate, was St. Blaze's - the Bukes visited it often. I wasn't aware "Buchanan City" existed beyond the Old West years, when it was a frontier town.
I would've paid money to see Victoria Wyndham turn up as an uber-villain for Viki and Dorian to team up against. Erika and Robin are legends but when Wyndham got going there was no one scarier - she was like a bat out of hell.

Meanwhile, still in early 1986: Shannon O'Hara is a lot crazier than I previously realized.
Add in Farley Granger(!!) and this story is completely bananas. I have no idea what's going on but it's a hoot.

They definitely seemed to be testing Iva and Steve, and I think at one time began suggesting she was falling for him.
Yeah, they just showed her flashing back to hugging him after reminiscing about the infamous Tad Channing. It was clearly on the books, as was Meg horny for Dusty (and Holden for Lily). The show moves faster than I remember with these new folks - weren't they all first on around August-September '85 at the earliest? (I thought Holden was October)

Happy fourth, y'all. I'm tired and full of food. Is it me or were they testing Steve and/or Iva and Meg in '86?

Eh, it's Quinnipiac and Politico. Both notorious for right wing push polling.

I'm spending part of my semi-working holiday still hip-deep in 1986. Can anyone explain the whole backstory with Doug Cummings, his dead wife Caroline, Marsha, etc? It'd be much appreciated. Was there something about horses?

As anyone who frequents this thread probably already knows, Lynch was spotted at Netflix HQ the other day:
David Lynch spotted at Netflix HQ. pic.twitter.com/tfrjxr0ztQ
— Twin Peaks (@TwinPeaksArchve) June 28, 2018Then an actor posted on FB (which I can't post here) that he was auditioning for Lynch - this notice hit fan sites.
To be clear, I don't think this has anything to do with Twin Peaks. Lynch may be working on his longtime collaborator Duwayne Dunham's new film at Netflix (Dunham directed for the original show and edited Season 3), or he may be talking to Netflix about making one of his own many unmade projects like Ronnie Rocket or Gardenback. I think TP, if it continues, will almost certainly remain at Showtime.

I was under the impression Doug was unmasked around NYE '85 but this episode in January sure isn't letting on. It plays full on romantic cues as Doug and Frannie cuddle. Maybe it was later in January?
I was going by SOC and Wikipedia for Iva and Holden but I know they can be inaccurate, so I thought I'd ask. I did just watch Meg's debut. I didn't realize she showed up so soon.
I'll asked Carl this but I'll ask in here as well: In my binge I'm also looking at the Bob and Kim wedding - I've always been curious how long it took from them rekindling their long-ago love from the '70s to the actual marriage in April '85. I know (or think I know, anyway) it wasn't Marland who did it but Susan Bedsow Horgan. I was under the impression Marland debuted shortly thereafter, as wasn't Doug Cummings (played by Marland stalwart John Wesley Shipp) on Bob and Kim's honeymoon cruise?

That's a pretty decent span of time if Iva showed up in August of '85, right? And Holden in October? Sometimes Marland moved quite fast, sometimes he moved slower, it seems. Holden is all but trying to fúck Lily as early as January - well, not early by today's standards.
I hadn't realized Doug Cummings was dead as soon as February sweeps. I thought the story ran a bit longer. I've always found it so creepy when watching pieces of it, now I think I'll watch more. Was it obvious it was Doug, and when did we find out?
Wikipedia suggests Marland didn't start til November '85 but that... can't be right, surely. I was under the impression all the '80s Snyders (to say nothing of Cummings) were his.
