Jesus Christ:
ProPublica has obtained audio from inside a U.S. Customs and Border Protection facility, in which children can be heard wailing as an agent jokes, "We have an orchestra here." https://t.co/0uCx6r2XZp
— Kyle Griffin (@kylegriffin1) June 18, 2018Interesting brinksmanship here. Every Democrat in the Senate has now signed on to a bill to end mother/child separation at the border.

Pressure shifts to Senate GOP now, as Trump's attempts to blame Democrats now become even less believable. https://t.co/4hN6VT033B"There are no toys or books. ... I think the public outcry is almost as heartening as the crimes themselves are disheartening. But we just have to keep the pressure on, as we did last January when they tried this shít at the airports.

As bipartisan outrage grows over the administration's zero tolerance immigration policy, the White House briefing has been delayed from 1:15 to 3:30 to 4:00.

Obama's immigration policy left a lot to be desired, but that administration genuinely cared about the impact and effect of what they did. Not so much here.
""I'm going to take your child to get bathed." That's one we see again and again. ... The child goes off, and in a half an hour, twenty minutes, the parent inquires, "Where is my five-year-old?" ... And they say, "You won’t be seeing your child again."" https://t.co/syfG0u7UL2

He was a magnetic force even in his sadly truncated return. I loved what they were doing with Den Sr., Dennis and Sharon at that time, pushing them and phasing out Phil. It's sad how his life ended up, apparently several suicide attempts.
I'd forgotten Louise Jameson from Doctor Who was one of the first to urge him to get into acting when she was visiting prisons and he was still serving time.

— Sarah Phelps (@PhelpsieSarah) June 15, 2018And just as Leslie went for the big soap moments, he also went for the tiny bombs of Den's melancholy, grief, the fury of diminishing powers, regret at the terrible mistakes he'd made but hard-wired to repeat them because if everything was fucked, then keep [!@#$%^&*] it up, right?
— Sarah Phelps (@PhelpsieSarah) June 15, 2018-and that's Shakespearean, that's Greek & I'll fight anyone in the street about it. Den is an epic, iconic character & Leslie created him. There's only a handful of people who can say that. So. Go well across the river, Leslie. Rest in Peace.

LOL! It's cursed.
Season 1 was okay with a great cast, but a pale shadow of what it could've been. There was a lot of mediocre network TV episodic stuff. And they wasted no time pushing out the huge talents Fuller had hired (Nicholas Meyer, etc.) after the first couple episodes, and those two replacement showrunners weren't very good - and now apparently PR nightmares.
For all his eccentricities and recklessness with budget they should've left Fuller alone. Maybe he'd have flown the coop anyway, but we'll never know - and the incredible writers and directors he had in place were far above anything that aired in Season 1. Further, Alex Kurtzman is a massive hack. I guess I'll keep watching it out of my love for the franchise and cast, but after the silly finale bringing in the Enterprise I am not expecting a lot.

QuoteDoes he have any movie projects or more TV projects lined up?
“I don’t. I have a box of ideas, and I’m working with producer Sabrina Sutherland, kind of trying to go through and see if there’s any gold in those boxes.”
