That's wild. I had no idea.
Keep an eye on @Showtime’s merch booth at David Lynch’s @FestDisruption this weekend because several Twin Peaks cast members will be making special appearances. Confirmed so far are @RussTamblyn, @madelinezima1, @eamonfarren and @OKimmyrobertson! #TwinPeaks

Don Lemon can be crazy dramatic himself but his initial non-verbal reaction just cracks me up:
"What I saw was a Minstrel show today."@DonLemon reacts to Kanye West's bizarre Oval Office meeting with President Donald Trump.

He doesn't!

My ex was bipolar. Roseanne is probably at least bipolar. I have some sympathy for the man he was, but this shît stopped being an excuse awhile ago. There's also a lot of free floating deep narcissism and misogyny in there - and there always was with Kanye.
Remember when dealing with friends or family with mental illness, that your expectations and their progess will always be separate. Its easy to become frustrated when dealing with someone you’re so familiar with but its integral to their growth that you are patient & supportive
— Chance The Rapper (@chancetherapper) October 10, 2018Like, I like Chance, but no I would not support family or friends doing crap like this, and haven't in the past.

I officially want out of this dimension:
KANYE on his #MAGA hat: "They tried to scare me to not wear this hat, but this hat gives me power, in a way...The campaign 'I'm with her' just didn't make me feel as a guy that didn't get to see my dad all the time like a guy that can play catch w/his son...I feel like superman." pic.twitter.com/aLP2fkefnV
— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) October 11, 2018What in God's name is Kanye saying: "We can empower the pharmaceuticals & make more money. That's one thing. I never stepped into a situation where I didn't make people more money. We can empower pharmaceuticals & our factories & bring not only Adidas onshore, but also Foxconn." pic.twitter.com/HlGm0TVaiO
— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) October 11, 2018KANYE says he wants to build "Trump factories" in Chicago bc "he's a master of industry."
— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) October 11, 2018
"It would be cool to have Yeezy ideation centers, which would be a mix of education that empowers people & gives them modern information like-- sometimes people say 'this kid has ADD'" 🙃🙃 pic.twitter.com/834ilGC4q8After listening to Kanye's rant, an exhausted-sounding Trump says, "he can speak for me anytime he wants... he's a smart cookie. Smart. He gets it."

"Let's stop worrying about the future," Kanye replies. "We just have today." pic.twitter.com/dgj9SdhcpvTrump talks with Kanye and Jim Brown about how awesome Kim Jong-un is. pic.twitter.com/SW7mfMAH17
— Josh Marshall (@joshtpm) October 11, 2018Kanye talks about how black poverty is driven by welfare and maga hats. pic.twitter.com/OwtYFBw3aO
— Josh Marshall (@joshtpm) October 11, 2018Kanye decries "trap door of the 13th amendment" and how his sleep disorder was diagnosed as bipolar disorder. pic.twitter.com/PNwtSkVdSb
— Josh Marshall (@joshtpm) October 11, 2018"Liberals would try to control a black person through the concept of racism because we know we're very proud emotional people. So when I said I like trump to like someone as liberal, they'll say, oh, but he's racist. You think racism can control me? Oh, that don't stop me." pic.twitter.com/cifOdBz9Ja
— Josh Marshall (@joshtpm) October 11, 2018This doesn’t happen often, but @realDonaldTrump seemed mesmerized, left with a loss of words after Kanye’s stream of consciousness monologue... which also included the revelation he was (mis)diagnosed with bipolar disorder.
— Weijia Jiang (@weijia) October 11, 2018“You know...I love you!” Kanye exclaimed as he jumps up to hug @realDonaldTrump, who did not say it back. pic.twitter.com/ZKrZwwQtVD

Since day one, Rose has pivoted from her assault to talking about her amazing projects, deals, scripts etc. in development, often in the same breath. I never trusted that and never will. She seemed deeply damaged but also deeply egocentric. I absolutely believe she was assaulted and traumatized and deserves her pound of flesh from Harvey Weinstein, along with Asia Argento, whose family's work I grew up watching as a horror buff (often featuring her) and whose story was equally gut-wrenching and heartbreaking. But I also believe they're both capable of doing awful things or being shitty people.
I've seen predictions recently that Rose McGowan will end up pivoting from the movement to becoming a right wing or libertarian personality to service her ego. I wish I could say I find that implausible.

Ray Wise brings up Season 4 during a convention Q&A:

The late Scott Wilson (Herschel) and Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha) will apparently be appearing in the upcoming season I won't be watching any time soon as part of Rick's sendoff.

Season 2 trailer is surprisingly pretty good and upbeat, though I'm still not keen into leaning on TOS characters with Spock (now played by Ethan Peck). The new Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) and Number One (Rebecca Romijn) look good though, and Sonequa and the main cast are still excellent.

When men avoid hot button issues in favor of commercial market share (however unsavory I find that personally) we call it good business. When a woman does it we call her a Nazi whore.
Racists make her a lust object. Faux-woke left blogs make her the one woman they can call a c_nt and call it a political action. There were even people calling her getting groped by some drunk DJ some kind of calculating ploy from Taylor Swift, the perpetual kinder-demon. Name another woman anyone else would put that [!@#$%^&*] on. You can't - except maybe Hillary Clinton, or Michelle Obama.
But when a man with a really big megaphone obsesses over her, demeans her and fetishizes her naked body for almost a decade as she grows from teen to adult, we can choose sides and say it's okay to do some light misogyny because hey - it's just Taylor fúcking Swift. Nah, I'm good, thanks. And BTW I don't even listen to her music much, whereas I listened to Kanye a ton til 2016. But I've just always found this shït vile, ugly and a 'woke' excuse for misogyny and fantasy vilification.

The way Kanye treats the world and his own immense power and responsibility is deplorable. He's mentally ill, but after a certain point that stops being an excuse (see: Roseanne). It's very sad what's happened to him, but I stopped being sad for him a while ago. He just makes me angry.
I don't have any evidence Taylor Swift is a conservative, or that she courted the MAGAs. I keep hearing these claims and I never see any evidence that I find remotely credible. All I have is evidence of how easily other people project onto her. I saw her being completely apolitical; I didn't necessarily like that in 2018, but I somewhat understood it. She is a very calculating performer and commercial artist, she's not the first or the last - that doesn't make her the Antichrist, or the one woman everyone can vilify and excuse any behavior towards (like, I don't know, let's just say for example interrupting her speech and then fetishizing her naked body over and over for years afterwards as she grows from teen to adult).
Anyway, I'm glad she spoke up.

I love the new theme - very JNT 80s. With the throbbing synth.
Isn't that the woman from Coronation Street in here?

I never watch the show on BBCA. I don't tolerate the ads or their tendency to cut the show, or speed footage up for time and ads. That's not acceptable.

I haven't heard complaints about tonight, but I wasn't looking much. I'm still only halfway through Series 10, which is great.

Meanwhile, in Egypt, this is actually somehow happening:

Chuck just got ratio'd on Twitter for trying to both sides Kavanaugh and 'our cold civil war' and is now whining about it, so there's that.

Aren't they claiming the new Cristal
is the 'real' one and the original was a fraud?
What a crazy show.

Finally wrapping up Season 10 - the Bev episode has maybe Jackie and Bev's only candid conversation in I don't know how many years. Jackie admitting she loves her was big.
The Mark subplot was really sweet. That kid is a gem and I'm glad we'll get to see him, Darlene and Dan continue together.
Becky turning on Bev in hours was great, explaining how quickly Bev and beau Christopher Lloyd moved to having sex in her apartment - 'it's four o'clock!' 'yeah, they went to dinner, came back and started doin' it!'
I'm just really glad this cast and crew get to continue. I hope the quality continues to build. It may be a debacle, who knows.

hard time seeing where they'd let this get published if there were certain they had the votes https://t.co/QWiOXkmHG8 via @TPM

I love the other news buried in there: Steve Zahn as Jackie's love interest.

The AMC 2.0 reboot was almost flawless IMO. Just incredible. Best soap of that year. OLTL had a few fits and starts in the middle weeks, but was on a whole much more serious, cutting-edge and forward-thinking than OLTL had been in years. It felt adult and dangerous again. Tonally they were appropriate opposites but both shows were the wave of the future, IMO.
It kills me because I think you could put them on Netflix or Hulu today and they'd work - if the management company hadn't been incompetent. The productions worked.

Todd left Port Charles because he got a call from Danielle who was drunk and/or upset and spiraling into a drug habit.
Starr left Port Charles after getting an urgent call from Langston about some personal matter, then broke up with Michael over the phone (unseen and unheard) from the Nurses Ball with no explanation. She was later said to be living in L.A. again on OLTL.
John left Port Charles on assignment for the FBI and later was in contact with Natalie and Téa (offscreen) disputing the custody arrangement for Liam, which Clint had changed behind Natalie's back.
None were ever seen or mentioned on GH again.
RH did double duty on OLTL 2.0 and GH, but I don't think the actual filming stints coincided. I think he filmed all his material for OLTL 2.0 in one block before returning to film at GH as Franco. The shows aired simultaneously, so he aired on both at the same time. He was expected back at OLTL 2.0 but the show did not continue, and Todd was not seen again after exiting shortly before the end of the first 'season'. It was implied Todd was walking into a trap the Triskelion cartel (the 'tattoo organization') led by Carl Peterson (Ron Raines) had set for him. Peterson said that his sister Alison (Perkins) had already re-captured Victor.

A friend informs me Sherilyn Fenn is playing Raven's foster mom on DC's silly-looking Titans show. Any port in a storm!
She's also doing, uh, this:
