I did read about this yesterday evening, and quite a few pundits have weighed in saying that it will get thrown out the minute the paperwork is filed because of the fact that the city of Paris is not a public figure. Which immediately made me think of... Hobby Lobby. A corporation that won it's position on birth control. If Hobby Lobby can be imbibed with "beliefs" from the court, then I support the notion that Paris is indeed a public figure. One is one separate from the other, IMO.

I would have loved to have Rita back on GL. She was the reason I got hooked on this show! I always wondered why/how they never could get Lenore back for the role. She did other soaps after leaving GL. With the passage of time, I'm on the fence with Maureen's death. I always looked at her as more of a Cooper than a Bauer, and thought that Holly should have been the matriarch of the Bauer clan. Or better yet, a recast Leslie with Mike. They could have recovered from her death more easily had one of those two things happened IMO.

The "liberal" mainstream media continues to hound the White House for not sending a high level administration official to Paris for the march. GMAB. I think it would have been nice to see them there, but I don't understand the controversy. At all. Grasping.

Exactly. I'm FL born and raised. There used to so many special out of the way "old Florida" places but they are all disappearing. Our governor is a "business man" that is removing every environmental protection he can, while raising taxes for individuals so he can give tax breaks to big companies. It's sad.

And it makes me sad as a resident of Florida. Why doesn't this surprise me. Jeez. And how can the people that vote for him justify it??

Really, at this point Obama could [!@#$%^&*] sunshine and they'd find something to complain about. A recent example is when Clinton resumed diplomatic ties with Vietnam in the 90s. Politicans on the left had a hissy fit. 20+ years later the sky still hasn't fallen. These right wingers will be among the first to invest in Cuba to make a quick buck. I am sure of it.

I'm ok with it. I'm in Florida, and I can tell you the Cuban population in the south aren't very happy with it. They've been very vocal about leaving the embargo in place and it's a hot button topic every election cycle. FYI: Typically, the Republicans support this view so the majority of Cubans in South Florida vote accordingly.

Seems to me that public opinion is overwhelmingly against Cosby, unless you're seeing a different newscast than I am. I, for one, am not going to sit here and point fingers at the victims. Their stories are consistent, the circumstances very similar. To say to them now "Well you should have done 'X' or 'Y'" isn't constructive. Like I've said before, I'm a strong believer of innocent until proven guilty. These ladies' stories are credible and support the theory that Bill Cosby is a serial rapist.

Oh jeez, please no. The last thing we need is another Bush in the White House and he was barely successful as governor. The claim that he'll get the Latino vote because he's married to one is as ridiculous as the claim that President Obama got the black vote because he's black. People of color do vote on the issues, not just the ethnicity of the candidate.

I've always been a die-hard "innocent until proven guilty" kinda guy, but IA, the overwhelming number of women coming forward is very damning. It's hard to believe, especially given the latest victim, that there's nothing to their claims. Apparently, Bill's been leading a double life for 30+ years! That's devious.
