Susan Bedsow Horgan (writer/EP, OLTL) actually said once that the character of Patrick Thornhart was named for her husband. Both the real and fictional Patricks were originally from Ireland.

Lauren White (Nurse Mary Jane "MJ" Match Carroll, The Doctors, 1975-78) has been singing jazz for several years. She's not a huge name, but has released several albums, performs live and has a beautiful voice.

Stuart Ward is listed on imdb as having played Det. Levy from 1991-94. Since it's imdb, take it with a grain of salt.
