Agreed. The dialogue is often so clunky and preachy. The acting is fine, but maybe they should hire a couple of new writers to snap up the dialogue.

Hey, I will gladly take a "boring" President who actually WORKS, listens to experts and doesn't YELL all the time (or post tweets in all caps).

Yes. Everything I've read indicates that Mac was supposed to be the star of these episodes. The cast and crew already knew he had passed when all these scenes were filmed but the show had to go on. Still, to not feature GR and JC in a scene together is inexcusable.
