Oh no! I'm sorry that I assumed the person posting was the uploader. I'm incredibly grateful to the real uploader, whoever he or she is. THANK YOU. Even if they stop uploading like Amy, they have already given a lot and deserve to be thanked, although, of course, I hope they will find motivation to continue. It says in that note that the real uploader was trying to make an account and it hadn't been approved yet... I wonder is there someone that we can contact here, an admin or whatever?

I notice a folder has been opened in the vault for 1987! Hoping to catch up on watching clips and uploading more of my stuff this weekend. I watched the first clip and it was really informative... I've never actually watched the Cassandra storyline in full in its entirety, so I feel like I should wait until I do... I mean I know more or less what happens but not in full detail. Hadley does look good. It's too bad we didn't get any Y&R reunion specials like they did for ATWT and GL... being that it's still on the air almost every Zoom interview was current cast members (except Kimberlin Brown). It sure would have been nice if someone did reunions for the Brooks family, Williams family, Barber Family (with VR and TLW)... there's so much nostalgia there. Would also be interesting to get, say, Heather Tom and Amelia Heinle together with the other Newmans, or imagine Jess Walton and Brenda Dickson together with Kate Linder sharing memories about Jeanne!

Great! Can't wait. Does Jill get shot on May 5 or 6? I'm having some trouble with that date. I had copied down some dates that were supposed to be the dates for the John/Jill Divorce clips (I probably copied them from the YouTube comments when they were up there back in the day), and since we have a lot of German episodes to match up the videos, I know that by Mid-March the dates are all caught up and correct (and it was probably well before then, that's just when I can confirm). Then I know that the archive.org episodes dated 4/21 and 4/22 are German episodes 70 and 71 as a milestone. But I had read that Jill gets shot on Monday, May 5, but that doesn't make sense since the corresponding German episode would be #81 (which is Tuesday, May 6).

I'm trying to upload the episodes I have along with the person doing the clips, but they're a little faster than me. I've added 1/8/86 1/22/86 1/31/86 Those 3 eps take place before clip (89) if you're trying to watch in order. 2/11/86 - This one overlaps with (89) but it's the full episode 2/14/86 (I've also seen this as 2/18, there were preemptions around this time) - The Lauren/Shawn sighseeing clips are in part (89) in far better quality, but this is the full episode including Ashley/Nikki's confrontation over the affair. (Watch up to clip (96) at 3 minutes when Lauren gets saved, then switch to 3/27/86 with Lauren being flown back to GC). 3/27/86 3/28/86 Taking a stab in the dark here: I have parts 1, 2, 3, and 5 of an episode called "Jack Gets a Gun!" from genoacityguy aka BobTV... if anyone has pt 4, I can put it together and upload the full episode (date would be around May 2, 1986). I also have Pts 1&2 of "Kay Threatens Jill!" and looking for the rest of that (date would be around May 5, 1986). These were on YT years ago. I'm sure most of the scenes leading up to Jill's shooting are in the amazing clip compilation, but I always like to have the full episodes when I can!

Hi guys, I was just in the vault looking up some of the episodes that didn't have dates. I've updated the titles, so if you already downloaded these, you may want to rename the files. I'm only checking the videos that don't have an exact date, there may be other dates that are incorrect. 1995 folder: Video titled 1995-08.mp4 is actually 1995-10-23 1997 folder: Video titled 1997.mp4 is actually from 1995 (it's an Australian video so maybe it was broadcast in 1997). Moved to the 1995 folder and renamed to 1995-03-15 (Sheila Drowns Lauren in Jacuzzi).mp4 1999 folder: "Amber in labor" is now 1999-04-20 (Amber in labor).mp4 The episodes "R&A Wedding" 1-3 are now 1999-02-22 (Rick Amber Wedding Pt 1).mp4 1999-02-23 (Rick Amber Wedding Pt 2).mp4 1999-02-24 (Rick Amber Wedding Pt 3).mp4 "Taylor Rejects Pierce" updated to 1999-03-01 Taylor rejects Pierce.mp4 Also, I noticed that episode 801 has now been posted under 1990, thanks again to whoever is uploading them.

I think Neil Fenmore died in October of 1987, or else the episode about that has the wrong date. It's frustrating that there is so little of the second half of 1986. The German uploads go to around July or August. They apparently continued airing, they just aren't available on YouTube. I had asked the person uploading German GH videos if they had the rest of 86 and 87 and they said yes, but didn't want to post them because of copyright, and didn't respond to email so I could let them know about the vault. If anyone has them in German, French, or whatever, I'd love to see them!

Looks like we'll be continuing into 1986! God, I feel so spoiled. Thank you x a million to the uploader! I'll have to try to get my 1986 episodes into the vault too. I am surprised at how touched I was by the outcome of the Brent Davis storyline (I like how we're now following one big storyline at a time, not necessarily the same characters). Not really getting how the police dropped his case for shooting Katherine, or how the great love between them developed (Kay is such a magnet for death, no wonder she was so bitter!), but I could put it aside because the scenes were so good. Eileen Davidson shined. This feels like a pivotal moment for Ashley maturing and softening... she was so alone dealing with this, without her usual support system of John, Traci, and Jack (who had been blackmailing her to step down as president or he'd tell John he wasn't her father). I actually love that they had John going to his grave not knowing the secret, but even so, this changed Ashley indelibly. It perfectly sets up Ashley's deepening relationship with Victor, her guilt over little Victoria (there was some line about "you took my daddy away" that Victoria will later say to Ashley), the abortion and her lifelong desire for a child and future mental breakdowns. Also loving Brock's unexpected return and his calming influence of Kay, Jill, and Ashley (too bad that didn't go anywhere), plus some beautiful 70s clips. That scene where he says Kay would've aborted him had that option been available was pretty shocking, I did not know that things had been so bad between them. Was Brock already reformed when he first debuted? Both Kay and Ashley seemed surprised he found the Lord, now I'm curious about his days as a bad boy.

Ah, I was wondering why those said uploaded yesterday, while the later numbers were uploaded Sunday. Guess I'm not the only one checking obsessively for those uploads! Lucky for me I was only up to 67a so I missed the bad ones. I loved the sequence with Ashley and Brent... had a fairy tale feeling for me, like he was an ogre attacking her, and when she was wandering in the woods it reminded me of Disney's Snow White.

I'm like that too, I liked to know how to do things. If you already know handbrake it's easy. On the right under "Range" instead of "Chapters" change that to "Seconds" and just enter the exact time stamps of where you want to cut. If you want to make the file smaller, check off "web optimized" under Format mp4. I usually only do the web optimized if the file is really big, sometimes just cutting is enough. These are the groups with old recaps of the shows. recaps from 1989-1995ish posted https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/rec.arts.tv.soaps goes back to December 1994 https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/rec.arts.tv.soaps.cbs Geez I just noticed they changed the layout... I used to view the "classic groups" and just filter by date and search for the updates for the date range I want... but now it says "classic groups are going away"... gee thanks google...

It seems like Andy was always an afterthought, treated poorly by Jill and Diane and never being a real romantic leading man. I've wondered why they made him Paul's friend and not his lesser seen brother Steven Williams. He was a little more developed than other supporting characters but never fully fleshed out.

Thanks for the video you posted, the video quality is very nice! If you have Windows 10, the "Photos" app has a way to split up video with a built in video editor although it creates very large files too. Another good one would be Handbrake which is free and well regarded. It's actually a program for converting DVDs into video files, but it also works for this purpose if you know the times you want to cut and it makes smaller files. If you need more help with either option I can explain in more detail. As far as the recaps go, it is tough because those are the early 90s where there's a dearth of recaps, but there are old posts on Google groups where people posted daily updates, so if we had the clips it would be possible to watch them and cross reference from there by date.

Some questions and random thoughts: What is the Bach piece the surgeon listens to in (49a)? Who are those men in Kay's dream in (49a) at 5 minutes plus? I thought it could be her late husbands, Gary, Phillip, and Cash, but they don't look like the actors (second guy maybe Phillip but none of them look like Cash). Interesting parallel to the dream from the 2004 intervention. Had to close my eyes during Kay's actual surgery... wow, Jeanne was brave! Some of that dialogue was so harsh, I felt sorry for her having to deliver it considering how much this mirrored her own life. Very reminiscent of Jennifer Brooks talking to herself after waking up from her mastectomy, but sooo personal! Brilliant work by Jeanne in these scenes. I love the post-operation scene where she's in her bedroom, the lighting is dark and all you see is her body language in the mirror, but she managed to convey everything with hand motions without showing her face or those expressive eyes. You can read a wonderful diary from Jeanne about the facelift here: https://classicsodyr.tumblr.com/post/153344729773/jeanne-coopers-face-lift-her-own-diary-soap#notes I'd been waiting to see the Rick Daros finale since those Feb 1984 videos of Nikki being held hostage popped up. Did not disappoint! It was a great psychological drama with the two of them in that beach house, and maybe the best acting MTS has done. The parts on the beach were cheesy, but fun. Unfortunately we missed a hilarious scene, per the recaps, where Victor, having learned he's impotent, decides to leave town forever. In the car to the airport, Douglas shows him pictures of Nikki stripping, and he suddenly tells Douglas to turn the car around, the problem is gone! I'm half wondering if they used Nadia's theme for that one... And onto Victor meeting his mother... what can I say, it's beautifully done. I don't care about cue cards, Eric Braeden can kill me with one look. One thing I found interesting was when he was remembering that his mother told him not to eat too much at the orphanage and never take seconds or more than he needs. It put all of those scenes of Victor being annoyed at Nikki pigging out during her pregnancy in context, and also reminded me of a throwaway line where he said he didn't like sweets and his general ribbing of Douglas. They don't do little character moments like this anymore. Not too much Abbot stuff here but good to get an HQ quality of Jill falling off the ladder. You can see how she did it on purpose but was kind of in a daze so it was left open to interpretation. Thinking about "don't be too specific"... can't imagine them making reference today to a character on welfare, who worked as a domestic, and never paid into social security. Or that line where Ashley asked Marc if his idea of a good time is sitting around smoking pot. Lol. The writing from 40 years ago is so much more modern than today, it's amazing.

Thanks @MissPalmer (I renamed those files for you, although that means now my name appears there as the last to modify the file), @bbforever and @anon4520 Always appreciate it when people upload despite slow connections, etc. I've just added 7/21/92 and 7/22/92 which I found on archive.org. I hope their dates are correct. Feel free to correct @YRfan23 or others.
