  1. This this this. Hated that she was made Finn's mother just so they could make her story be all about Steffy. Love Sheila and Deacon though.
  2. What do you mean? @Troppo I heard imdb was a pain but that is something to see! @Jennybold1974 did you see these excellent posts from @janea4old a few pages back about episode numbers? She is the expert!
  3. You'll have over two years worth of full episodes all in order! After March 1988, there are many episodes, but not a whole complete collection like B&B. I stopped watching at December 1988 myself waiting for more full episodes to come along, sigh.
  4. Personally I would say the vault clips of 1982 (there are not too many full episodes 1982-1985). Then in 1986 you can pick up the full episodes in German if you wish. 1982 is when the Brooks family and Lorie are phased out and the main storylines begin to center around Victor, Nikki, Katherine, and the Abbotts. I did this during the pandemic when they started being uploaded and I also read along with the Soap Opera Digest tumblr to fill the gaps. I would just stop reading when it started talking about things I hadn't seen yet.
  5. Ah, that sounds rather good! I hadn't considered the Jill angle. The recaps say at some point even Kay was considering birthing Derek's child LOL.
  6. He isn't Rick Daros' son, that is a fan story that got around. I just googled it and I see all the fan sites list his father as Rick. That's not true. In the 80s clips in the vault, it is established that Eve claims Charles is Victor's son. He does not accept this but did create a trust fund for him just in case. In his will he'd planned to leave his fortune to Victoria (when she was still considered Kevin Bancroft's daughter, although Victor might have known the truth by then) and Cole. That's the reason that Eve tries to marry him and kill him in 1983. When Eve died in the 90s, they tested the DNA against some other guy. I don't remember his name but it wasn't Rick Daros... @YRfan23 probably knows the exact date to point you to the episode or recap (he knows everything 😅) Eve and Rick did hook up in the sanitarium and escaped in 1984... I suppose they could have had more children but that storyline never played out (hopefully the Y&R historian doesn't tell Josh Griffith!).
  7. 12/9/91-12/13/91: GL you have an 18 share, SOW has 19 Rest is good!
  8. 12/2/91-12/6/91: OLTL you have a 19 share, SOW has 21 Not too bad!
  9. 10/21/91-10/25/91: GH and GL you have 5.5 and SOW has 5.3
  10. Sure, the marriage for revenge would have worked, without all that sappiness. I saved this old usenet post that describes it well: https://groups.google.com/g/rec.arts.tv.soaps/c/R9K2kCKOKBc/m/HfdVBW0wlxMJ You see, I have some recollection of Bergman's Cliff Warner during the height of the Cliff & Nina romance days. I hate to tell you this folks, but I think Bergman is playing Cliff again. My fiance put it best when she said that this Jack is likable and sensitive and loving in ways that are not at all like the Jack she remembers Terry as being examples: Jack says "I wish, oh how I wish, you could love me as much as I love you" Terry Lester might have said [Southern Drawl on] "Yeah, sweetheart, ya gotta know how much you mean to me. We're hot together, you know hon! Let's give this thing a chance" [Southern Drawl off] another example. Jack says "Do you know how jealous I am? That you have that wonderful little boy" Terry Lester might have said [Southern Drawl on] "Look, sugar, I want a kid. I'm feelin' those paternal urges, you know. Listen, Doll, I wanna have a kid just like you and the Black Knight" [Southern Drawl off] I think I've made the point: the old Jack was appealing because of his slick superficiality. While he was known to show anger, the most appealing part of the old Jack was the humour that always glistened behind those eyes. Jack was mocking the world and its conventions. The new Jack is VERY rapidly being transformed into a noble man, with deep deep feelings for family (remember how the old Jack threatened Ashley that he would reveal that her natural father was Brent Davis if Ash didn't turn over the vice-chairmanship to him!). He is Cliff Warner. Remember that Jack and Nikki were ostensibly brought together because Jackie wanted revenge on Victor. The writers seem to have forgotten all about that--now they're making like his love runs deep. I don't mind the new Jack, but it's taken me a long while to realize that this is a completely different man (not just actor, but character).
  11. I'd say that was the end of the transformation. It happened after he married Nikki and started wailing about wanting a son. The Terry Lester version of Jack visibly cringed when Nikki mentioned marriage and kids, and only married Patty to get a position at Jabot.
  12. I seem to recall there was a scene where the bartender at Gina's gives Jack a gun and has to show him how to use it (just before the Who Shot Jill story in 1986). It's clear he was never in the army.
  13. Terribly sad to know the details. I wish this information had remained private but I appreciate your factual and non-sensationalistic reporting. I would rather read about it here where it is reported in a responsible manner.
  14. Thanks @janea4old I enjoy seeing the photos of the kids on set. I actually was thinking for Thanksgiving they should have just had Elizabeth's kids portray Bella and Myles (if the ages and genders work) instead of pretending they and every other child were "in the other room but joining us for dessert later offscreen."
  15. She definitely noticed it and it made her see what a bad idea it was. To be honest I don't remember why she married David at all so I'm not surprised others don't remember it even happened.
  16. A funny thing about when Nikki married David Chow is they eloped to Mexico, and a guitarist began singing "Through the Eyes of Love" in Spanish as they walked down the aisle - which is famously Nikki and Victor's wedding song from 1984 (in English).
