It’s fun to see how the production gradually changed from the 70s to the 80s, John Conboy definitely liked to use lots of close ups as u can see in some scenes but it looks like he was starting to balance it out more with lesser close ups but still making sure he got every details of the sets....I think my favorite was seeing the early Jabot set in the second episode...the blue walls and the logo names were the same as today but it was obviously a new set at the time and probably was very limited to what it became..it’s amazing to think we wouldn’t see the Abbott house for another two years. im on board the Wings Hauser train of him overreacting, though I’m still glad we got to see him and scenes with Nikki...I do agree what the little I’ve zeen Jim Houghton was the best Greg hopefully some episodes of Kerwin and even later material with that Howard Mcgillian will surface someday.. Bond is definitely a sweeter Jill, I want to see more as she definitely impressed me, I would really have to see her in scenes with Jeanne to see if her Jill can be just as tough as the others, but I guess buy this point they decided to move on from those two for the next couple of years. i really liked Tammy Taylor and think she could have definitely been the definite Patty.

I wish Liz had stuck around, as it would have provided Jill with a shoulder to lean on whenever she made her mistakes in the late 80's/90's. It would have been fun to see Liz try to interfere with Jill wrecking Nina's life with Phillip by bluntly reminding her it wasn't too long she schemed to get Katherine's life, and to try to take Stuart from her.....I could see her also trying to give Jill the biggest reality check during the 2nd divorce and custody battle with John.....

That's such a big deal now when you think of it, because it's so crazy to think Victor might have met Nikki before seeing her at the Bayou for the first time....I wonder if it all was retconned.....I know when they first got married, Casey was shocked that Victor and Nikki knew each other....perhaps Victor just never met Nikki face to face... I totally could see Liz staying on throughout the 90's, I'm always most excited to see her when these episodes surface!

Yeah I think the extra scene was from the April 16 episode that was listed with the other two...too bad it wasn’t the full show as I would have liked to see more of Victor and Lories first meeting...that was so unexpected..but not so much as Victor supposedly already knowing Nikki at this point??? That shocked me...I knew Victor and Casey had scenes when he first came to town but, now it’s Crazy to think that Bill Bell possibly Retconned Victor and Nikki not knowing each other until the Bayou...perhaps they just never met face to face, but still Victor seemed a bit casual when he mentioned to Casey “ give her my best” it was great to see more of Derek, Jeanne’s face looked so frozen and stiff for some reason...i know this is pre facelift but her face seems like it’s stuck in a smile ..... I thought Katherine was playing Derek to get him out of the company but I guess that was later... yes Wings Hauser was just so OTT and not in a good way , he always seemed like an odd looking guy too. i loved seeing the Old Williams scene...u can sort of tell they had already replaced the Fosters as the main working class family....Carolyn Connell was very good in the scene when she was trying to warn Patty about how different their lifestyles were growing up...Tammy Taylor was a good actress too, I could have seen her stick around for the long run... i thought Victoria Mallory was very good here as well...this story must have drove people mad because I’m sure it was one of those stories that just dragged on...did Leslie have a breakdown that caused her to loose her memory? i actually thought Sebastian was a standout of this Episode! Would like to see more of him...Edgar Daniels is the actors name. yes go ahead!

We definitely have been spoiled by so many of these early 80s episodes surfacing! I guess the longer we wait patience is a true virtue! I’ll gladly wait another 5 years for more of these episodes to start surfacing lol. for me, I get winded thinking of the combination of characters in this transition/fade out era....u still kind of get a glimpse of the original Y&R with the Leslie/Lance and even some of Jill/Andy scenes but when they show Jack/John and even the Katherine/Nikki/Bancroft dinner it’s clearly the “newer” Y&R...it seems like the music was even being experimental there with some crazy 80s sync music I’ve never heard before on the show and which obviously faded quickly (maybe that was all Wes Kenney) Dennis Cole appears a lot more cheesy then I’ve seen of his other clips, I thought he was fine in the March 82 episode...he kind of sounds like he’s trying to imitate McCook too...I’m always amazed that Victoria Mallory lasted this long, she was out by December that year I believe? DAs Jill is really soft compared to Brenda and Jess but she still pulls off the somewhat snobby upbringing (“mac n cheese for dinner??...) and sexual part that Jill is known for....for some reason I was half expecting them to show the original John during the lovemaking flashback...I wonder if the Jack/Jill’s scenes itself were from 1981 or they reshot them too?? its so refreshing to see Victor being played by Lorie and Braeden not having any say, or as u say not trying to overpower his co-stars as he did later on...

It’s amazing to see a mix of the original and “newer” casts blended together! I know some 1982 has made it on here recently but this is a first with those combnation of characters... i thought DA did great with the crying and reminiscing of her affair with Jack causing her to lose John the first time ... and Lorie held her own with Victor.
