  1. Here are the last 2 (for now) January 1989 episodes, that haven't been posted before from me! 1/11/89 1/12/89
  2. Thanks! I wonder if Coleman was contract or recurring then....it's interesting how she remained on the show that long after, and only came back for minor cameos before they killed her off in 2008 with the intro of adult Adam in the Form of Chris Engen...and how odd that only 3-4 years ago they actually brought back the Kurt character as the doctor who treated Nikki for her MS, yet they never bought up any of his past connections to any of the characters....Like they were going for the Jack McClane situation on B&B now... It's strange and kind of sad how this was probably the last year Jill lived in that Abbott house, and then was pushed into the Keith/Tricia/Megan stuff....Didn't they also try to set John and Katherine up towards the end of 1996/1997? It was indeed a very strange time period, and I can see why Alden becoming full time HW Mid 1998 really set things into shape...
  3. It just seemed Nina already went through a lot of issues by that time, and the fact that she always had a bit of self-esteem issues (or at least developed some) and Ryan goes off to be with Tricia, they really gave her a lot to deal with.... I agree she seemed to finally mature towards the end, though I didn't care for that short hair of her's, haha
  4. No Problem! For Nina, I just meant her Self-Esteem issues took more of a toll on her that particular year, ending with her almost commiting suicide.
  5. Here's The first 2 January 1989 Dates I have neglected to post, but finally had time to do so! The first One has 2 parts because the episode was sent to me in 3 parts, and when I was using "editor" to turn it into one video, Part 3 wouldn't show up for some strange reason. 1/9/89 (1/2) 1/9/89 (2/2) 1/10/89
  6. I think Scott Reeves OTT reactions killed it for me, but It's hysterical that Wee Little Ryan can actually Kick Cole's Ass....LOL I'm glad Nina got to be featured so much in this episode.....The following years leading towards her exit, gave so many demeaning things to her character, yet Tricia Cast's wonderful acting always made up for it....but it's still sad this was less then a year before Ryan and Tricia drove her mad, and almost drove her to suicide....
  7. Chris's hat looked ridiculous, Stafford looked like she was wearing little makeup, and it was nice to see Danny and Gina...I thought the Nina/Victoria/Cole scenes were a little too over dramatic, and that Ryan the hypocrite was making a big deal out of nothing with Nina stopping by the ranch....I didn't know Jill and John were still married and that Jill was still even living at the house....John was being so petty about Jill taking Billy to see Santa. It seemed like the theme of the episode was men holding petty grudges with their spouses with Ryan/Nina and John/Jill....ironically Victor was the more agreeable man this episode....I didn't know Hope was even still around at that point.
  8. AHA! here it is! lot more campier then I remember
  9. I think they use to be on here...will have to do some research.... I've haven't gotten anymore 1991 episodes in a while that might have that scene.
  10. I know, but overall I feel like (IMO) soaps were mostly still entertaining at least till 2005-2006.....even if most of them were off the rails at that point.....something just happen the following year in 2007, and that's when it became apparent that they didn't think soaps were worth staying on air....it started with Passions, and just kept getting smaller each year until we have the 4 remaining now...
  11. 2003 is usually deemed the last "classic" year of Y&R, though I feel 2005 can arguably be considered the last year too...even if the show started to deteriorate by that point...
  12. I still think the most bizarre fantasies were David's about Killing Nina and Cricket, and the rats eating them...You'd figure something like that would be seen on DOOL or Passions but not Y&R...only thing was that they made it seem more serious and horrifying, then the campy humor JER would do...
  13. Thanks so much carl! Can't wait to watch the full thing! 😁 Lol, that Ryan/Cole fight scene open....way too OTT and I don't think in a good way....such an odd story turn.
  14. No Problem you guys! Yeah, on 12/4/89, it had only been a week Bergman was Jack.....it's weird that this was only one of his 4-5th appearances ever on the show....I sadly don't have the first episode Bergman's Jack and Victor interact, but If I ever do get it I will post it! It's funny how Bergman always said he never copied Lester's performance yet, for literally the first 6 months that's all he tried to do....it just doesn't suit him and never has suited him.... I think Brenda's first date on the show was December 5th 1988, so yep exactly one year she was Ashley during these episodes....I believe Eileen exited the date before Brenda started (on December 2nd, 1988) but I don't know if that's been confirmed or not?....
  15. Sigh...i guess even Bill Bell had annoying quirks to his writing, especially as far as Lauralee went. i guess he almost tried with The Newmans way later in 1996 when Victor and Cricket started to get closer.
  16. I might have to get some 1988 episodes with Eileen, because most of the 1989, especially early 1989 is Brenda, but he's definitely there physically not mentally....haha. I can understand the frustration, but it's a shame Terry couldn't make the commitment to Y&R he should have, as I think he would have thrived throughout the 90's Jack stories.....
  17. He totally seems bored out of his mind, and it's hilarious how even though he's sort of part of Cricket's rape story as the one who fires Derek, he has ZERO interaction with Lauralee, which we know why obviously.... I actually can sort of see why people rooted for Victor over Terry's Jack, as he played the arrogance better then Bergman...
  18. I was gonna try to post the January ones, first, but it's been a while, and with everything going on I just wanted everyone to have something to look forward too........given also old Y&R clips on YT popping up are still very slim.... Can't wait to see it and confirm the date for you!
  19. Your welcome! I've been slacking a little on the uploads and wanted to add some bright spots for a somewhat hard and stressful year.....I still have some January 1989 I need to post soon! Thanks for the interview clip too!
  20. To prepare a little for tomorrow's (or later's) classic episode, and as a late Christmas gift, here's some more episodes from December 1989, that weren't up before! 12/4/89 12/5/89 12/6/89 12/7/89 12/8/89 12/11/89
  21. Little audio clip I found from 1989, where I guess this guy, who's a DJ had a guest spot as one of the emcees for Danny's concert......he kind of makes fun of the dialogue which is pretty funny...
  22. Hard to believe in another week or so we will be seeing this woman on our tv screens again! even if it's a repeat! LOL
  23. It's always interesting how the 80s Y&R black characters (Amy, Jazz, Tyrone) were never as successful it seemed as the 90s ones (Dru, Liv,Neil,Malcolm)
