  1. I've been saying SLC gives off RHOV/Melbourne vibes since the first trailer. So I'm so happy to hear @DaytimeFan @Cat @Cheap21 all agree as well. Great company to be in. Or we just have excellent taste. NOW if Bravo would put it in a better time slot so they can rake in some good ratings... Oh PS...guess who is ALSO in the background? CHARISSE. LOL. lol. I know I forgot to say something. I like the resurgence of Housewives kids on this show. I know from early OC that kids used to be a part of it. And that has lessened over the years so good to see them again. Next generation? Though some of them would be like...was it Jenna's fine son? And yeah, I laughed at Elizabeth being ribbed (and having a good sense of humor later about it) about always talking about her money. Hmmm...if Emily said that...does that mean that party on the beach in the midseason trailer that they are all sitting at will be the finale then?
  2. That is definitely good news to hear. A calm within this circus.
  3. OC And so it begins... Since before the season started, we knew it was coming. Coronavirus was going to hit the OC. I was curious to see how they would handle it since I was down in San Diego and it has gone from bad to worse. I've seen it hit family members. I have to deal with it in my jobs every day and people's lack of common sense or empathy. And trust...the area where the ladies are at? Well...let's not make this into a political post. That said...I admit that I liked that they took a cue from SOUTHERN CHARM and slowly seem to do it in relative free time. From starting with them still at the vow renewal to seeing the real issues slowly taking up parts of their life slowly, but surely. And then BOOM!!! I thought it was well done. The toilet paper. The issues that come when you have a business with many employees. What happens when schools are closed and you have kids. Even the bartering for toilet paper. It rang true. So did the regrets. ELIZABETH. I guess I could see why the other ladies are curious. There are questions. But she is not really allowed to answer some of the questions since she's going through a divorce AND on television. Something she is not used to so there might be inconsistencies. They should lay off. I kinda respect that Kelly gave her the heads-up on the Gina/Emily mean girls. And I saw Braunwyn give the side eye when they were discussing Shannon at the vow renewal as if she wanted to tell Elizabeth to watch her back. GINA. Girl, stop. I didn't like her stirring the pot with Elizabeth. Her and her mini-me Emily. I did like that she was doing something so normal when Corona started to creep in. And the regret she had. And the frustration when the schools closed. Granted she's gotten better at it, but Gina's man ususally seem to be more in control of the kids than she was. So this might be new territory for her, Realistic territory. EMILY. I say this all the time...I want old Emily back. Not Mini-Me. SHANNON. Thank you. I know others thought she was overreacting. But at least she had some sense to be researching, sending someone out for items just in case, and being cautious. I do wonder if she got it at the vow renewal. But I guess we will see. KELLY. Still being an idiot. And I hear she was going on the Nene Leakes Apology Tour on WWHL last night and Andy actually did the right thing and dragged her. Whatever. Like Tinsley said during the NY reunion (which I am finally about to finish), too little, too late. I also thought she shouldn't have downplayed Shannon's concerns. Granted I understand why...but cautious was key. I did love the very realistic scene of her and her manager discussing her business and what to do about the employees since events were being cancelled due to Corona. BRAUNWYN. Hm. Started the episode supporting. And I loved her scene with her son and taking him makeup shopping. But I did not like that she was downplaying her own daughter's worries to focus on herself. And taking it out on Sean to boot. That was a bad look. Not everything is about her. And at that point, it should have been about her daughter's worries about Corona. Overall...I thought it was a good episode. Good start. But next week...it really going to hit I suspect.
  4. POTOMAC OH, SH*#$!!! Bravo went ahead and gave a taste of the finale fight??? Well....Team Darby then...get her Ashley!
  5. Taoboi replied to YRBB's topic in Off Topic Lounge
He looks like a mix of Tom Hardy and Paul Rudd. Niiice.
  6. I know what you mean @YRBB. I've been looking forward to seeing how Shannon was going to handle it since before the season began. But even I felt anxious watching the midseason trailer yesterday, finding it to be a little TOO real given what is going on here in San Diego and LA at the moment. I haven't watched last night's OC. Yet. For that very reason. @Cat well, SLC has DEFINITELY been great. I have half a mind to rewatch last night for the nuance because I find Heather and Mary gave so much in spades and are easily my favorites now. Whitney is an interesting enigma. Lisa is (somewhat) ice. And Meredith is the relatable one. And like POTOMAC it is their whole dynamic that makes the show. Yes, even Jan...I mean Jen. As for OC...in hindsight, it's been a transitional season, but a REAL season. I am shocked TBH that we are already on Episode 9. The first 5 episodes were just meh. But around Episode 6 (Braunwyn's vow renewal episodes), everything just started to gel (at least for me) and it felt like the OC again. It's like everyone got used to each other and then it got organic again. Not that it felt fake, but more that Vicki/Tamra definitely left a vacuum and the others were struggling to be them rather than themselves if that makes sense. I have found the last few episodes (haven't seen last night yet) to be actually enjoyable. And you might like Vicki 2.0 aka Elizabeth. She's been a breath of familiar yet FRESH air. Now that things are about to get real, REAL though, like I said above...I am getting anxious. I know I said I wanted to see how Shannon showed her Co-Vid experience. But at the time of the first trailer, it was not as bad here in San DIego as it is now (we should be getting word either this week or next if they will force a stay at home order again which is what I heard is happening in LA right now for example) so I worry it might be a bit too triggering for me. But...we'll see. ETA: Yeah, those BH girls seem to be learning that karma is a...
  7. SLC That was pretty good. And oh, look. Another event with a cliffhanger. I think someone else said it online best. I mentioned that Jen had been promoting since long before the season started. And others said she tweeted a lot the first 3 episodes. However, tonight? She has been mostly silent. Translation: she knows she messed up. A lot of us here have said that she was doing too much. That she was playing a character. That she was coming in hot. Too hot. And I feel she's about to turn a corner since I believe 'Don't Get Ghetto.' is next week. More in a minute... HEATHER. So my favorite now. The 'I've frakked a grandpa, too. And?' TH. She is so ride-or-die for Jen. She was there as Jen got too drunk and made a scene at Whitney's party. She let Jen vent. She was there for her and still relatable (cuz you better not clear her chicken or her lollipops no no...lol). JEN. And then we have Jen. Jen, Jen, Jen. Oops. One more letter and she would be Jan over Marcia. And not a good friend. Or maybe I should say a messy friend. She at least apologized for causing a scene with Meredith. But of course Meredith does not know that Jen was so upset she was spilling tea on her. So...I don't see that ending well. Jen is that friend who HAS to have all the attention. And if it is not on her, she has to cause drama so it's all about her. That is good for a tv show, NOT for people who call her friend. How Lisa Rinna of her. And that makes her toxic. More proof? She is STILL starting stuff with Mary, but her angry outburst at Whitney's party at the start of the episode and not apologizing for it at the end of the episode but having no problem apologizing to Meredith. Did she apologize because she cared or because she wanted someone on her side? And why does it feel like the latter? I will give her this much...she gave a reason for why she acts that way at Mary's Met Ball lunch. And THAT...was probably the first time she's been relatable since this started. I've been the ethnic in a small town...and how they treat you because of it. So yes, you have to work harder, be better, wow I'm sounding like Papa Pope lol but I get it...gotta work twice as hard to get to where everyone else is to be accepted. As a result...and I own this myself...you love different when it comes to friends. To a fault too. But she has to learn to pick her battles on that. Right now, she's her own worst enemy. MEREDITH. Now she showed how much of a friend she is...but it has been established that she and Lisa were separated at birth. Okay, just kidding. But she confined in her and Jen. And so far only one is showing herself to be a good friend, by not repeating the husband secret. Ice over fire? Who knew? And I liked that rather than get in the middle of the Jen/Mary feud...she wisely disengaged cuz she was not there for kid mess. LISA. Wow. Fabulous ice has a heart in there. Who knew? Loved her and Meredith's outfits for the Met Ball lunch. WHITNEY. Not much this time around from her. MARY. #unbothered But looking at the end of this episode it looked like that was about to change. She seriously looked slighted by Jen apologizing to Meredith. Before that she was off in her own little ShebySheree world with her fashion and kookiness and her shade at her son's gf. lol. I hollered at the fact that she would not say f&*(. It was a running joke all through the episode and it was hilarious at how much she does not take herself seriously when she is taking herself seriously. And a better friend than Jen since she invited Jen to her Met Ball lunch even though they were having drama. And was civil to her. And was straightforward, but nice to Jen in her words. Shame Jen could not be the same. Again...good cliffhanger.
  8. That it is. And LA just apparently gave stay at home orders to everyone. SD (where I'm at) is probably next. Probably because at the time they did not take it at all seriously. After all the OC has been called the 'Florida' of California. For that reason...the fact that Shannon shows the good, the bad, and the ugly with herself...I been saying that unlike the other HW shows that filmed post-co-vid...OC would be interesting because it really was there...filmed before/during/AND after Co-Vid hit. The other shows have filmed after or had pick up scenes or have some scenes of it, but OC WAS THERE. It is lightning in the bottle. A time capsule for sure of sorts. That's...and being here in Cali...is part of the reason I'm actually watching this season. To see how it goes. If Shannon would use her platform responsibly. And as we see, Shannon did put it out there. My only regret is that they did not have a more dynamic cast. But...it is what it is. And some of the shows have already started doing that. There has...and will continue to be...a lot more family/individual scenes. So the good HWs will rise or fall on those scenes I going forward. POTOMAC (and SLC) have enough individual personas to show that when it's time for them to film they will be fine. Same with ATL, NY, and even NJ I suspect. But the others...? Well...*shrugs*
  9. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
  10. @Chris B my bad! I see news breaking about Kyle, Kathy, and Dorit on TMZ. And she got it all on film per the midseason trailer. Happy for her as well.
  11. I agree. I still find it hard to believe they are already on Episode 9 now. It isn't until the last 2 that everything is coming together. It really does look interesting. There had been reports out there of things...like Braunwyn coming out...but it sounded like it was not filmed for the show. But IT WAS? Color me intrigued.
  12. I heard the rumor about Kyle, but SHE DID FOR REAL? Cuz she has not at all did the 2 week period at all depending on when she was told. And Dorit and Kathy too? See? I had no idea other than Garcelle was quaranting and what reports I heard were just tech people. Wow. I agree on Erika. Somewhere...Denise is smirking.
  13. BH Hold up!!! She what??? Erika Girardi sued for allegedly embezzling money in divorce (pagesix.com)
  14. OC WOW. THAT was unexpected...and somewhat unnerving at the realness. But it DOES look more interesting than the first trailer. Midseason trailer is out... RHOA Speaking of realness...
  15. RHOA So Cynthia is suing Peter over money owe...really?
  16. Now, now...true grande dames can do what they want. That said...probably because for her volatile attitude was an arc all of its own. Especially since she was the main person campaigning for the show's visibility. And at least with some of that she had enough self-awareness to see how she could be a problem and not only owned it, but tried to change that behavior...something I cannot say for Mrs. Chucky. And while I'm sure Asian Kenya will do some gathering no question, it does not take away from the fact that if LeeAnne got fired for racism...Brandi should as well. If they must keep her, a demotion I could agree with. But really what does she bring to the table? Versus LeeAnne who was the show to the point they all out to get her? Answer: Not much. I can do my own fart jokes thank you very much. As LVP would say...she does not need and should not have a platform when she still has not owned up to what she did. But doubled down.
  17. I will give Trav this much...with the pandemic here, he did make sure his workers were taken care of which deserve some respect, but yep. He was being like Candiace's Chris online this year and it was just...bad form...on top of his political views so...smh. I try not to hold such things against people...but this year has just...smh again. I cannot wait to see her at the Hawaiian theme party. I believe you and I already discussed how scarily she looked like LeeAnne's Twin Sister in one of the pictures. How she moves in person. You don't want to see them fight for LeeAnne's crown? But THANK YOU!!!! Re: Brandi. It is really, really, really annoying me that people online are talking about Brandi like "but, but, people deserve a second chance/people make mistakes." Without knowing that she doubled down on her comments on the video at that. Not to mention 'really, bitca? And LeeAnne didn't deserve a second chance...cuz people make mistakes.' The hypocrisy is so irritating. Both should have been fired if we are going to play that game. And if we are going to give Brandi the victim edit, LeeAnne deserves to have a redemptive arc as well. Especially since toxic or not, she gave more to the show than that expired cheerleader. And since she pulled it off in Season 3, I know LeeAnne could do it again. Now don't get me started on Ravenel wiggling himself back onto the current season. Meanwhile Southern Charm NOLA (the much better show) blows in the wind while people wait on a Season 3. Don't forget...Monique slept her best sleep after the reunion. Which means she gathered (as well as La Dame from what I hear) those girls ALL...THE...WAY...TOGETHER. I am definitely ready for the RHOA S9 Reunion Style Dragging of Gizelle. I hope the rumors are true and that villain is about to get her comeuppance.
  18. Good to hear how things are going, @Huntress. Stay safe.
  19. That's good to hear. It sounds like how I feel about the show (and the book) SWEETBITTER. As someone in that industry I find so much of it rings true...so color me even more intrigued with this information. Thank you.
  20. POTOMAC That was surprisingly easy and breezy. To be fair...other than one episode...that has been the theme for the whole season. It's been a great season. And now it feels like those old cartoons where there were two-, three-, five- parters where the action just builds. And looks like it will build right into the reunion where Gizelle just might get the drag she's been needing for SEASONS now. WWHL this week had the foreshadowing with THE BINDER...lol. Cannot wait. As for this week... ASHLEY. So...MESSY ASHLEY IS BACK!!!! And it used to bug me. And last night it did bug me. HOWEVER, at this point it is more like another layer with Ashley than it is all of her. I felt like she was always Messy Ashley. And as I've said this season, motherhood has slowed her. It has matured her. But it's good to know that part of her is still in there somewhere. I love that the Monique/Karen friendship is strong enough that it can withstand her messiness. Meanwhile, the scene with her family was ironic given that Michael supports MOST of them. So the angle there was probably in Ashley's contract with Michael for her to stay. And then Michael is going to be messy next week due to his lust for Juan. hehe. KAREN. Ashley, Ashley, Ashley...you tried. However, La Dame can always take a bad hand and play it well. That she lied so flawlessly while Ashley had Monique in front of her should have let you know one cannot come for a Queen. T That said...it should be obvious that she was visibly nervous during that Monique/Candiace near-miss. Probably because she was forced to do it. Messy production? Love that her storyline with Ray is coming to a neat conclusion. She will always be some what goofy. She will also always be La Dame, having a party and leaving it when the girls wanted to start mess when they should be happy she kept them separate from Monique. We even got a Matt cameo!!! Viva La Dame!!! GIZELLE. I usually pick on her. But as usual...when Kal appears so too does her humanity. And it was clear that she was actually hurt that Mr. Chocolate was a no-show. And I actually felt sorry for her. THAT felt real. And her daughters not liking their dad anyway, but still being strong for her was sweet. She needs to let this go because she can do so much better. Heck, even Kal's face revealed that. ROBYN. SHUT UP, ROBYN. Good that La Dame got you together. WENDY. WHO? CANDIACE. Quit. We see you. And even if I didn't, the fact that she was online and viewers were re-tweeting her attacking people online last night. Not a good look. Why would she be worried when she just bought a new house unless she got some 'bad' news. A firing perhaps...or she knows the trouble coming her way next week. MONIQUE. God, she is so beautiful. On the show and on WWHL. Her afrofuturism looks stay fierce. And it was great seeing her. And the binder on WWHL. Can't wait. Now...I'm just worried. The reunion trailer is this week. And if Bravo was smart hehe, they will hold it until Friday so it does not overshadow DALLAS. But we will see...
  21. DALLAS Meh. While I agree with @Cat that a reset was needed after last season, my issue is with bringing back Kary (transparent ho...and that's me being nice given how she and she THE PERSON ALONE triggers me), D'Andra (still looking like LeeAnne-Lite in more ways than one) and Brandi (who shouldn't be back just like LeeAnne shouldn't be back with a transparent redemptive arc with a topic-suicide-that also triggers me with its fakery...HELL NO. F#$% HER)? Yeeeeah NO. And then...there's Tiffany...who I have already duped in my head, Asian Kenya!!! Just like Kenya in Season 5, she came in blazing and guess what? I don't mind. With the news of Asian Housewife over at BH who appears so far online as nice, mild, but straight forward, it is nice to see the other side of the spectrum...which makes sense since she's a doctor she would be straight forward. And I liked that she called Brandi out for that video. NOW I hope she goes in on the fact that Brandi DOUBLED DOWN JUST LIKE LEEANNE DID when people called her out online. But let me divide this up...because while overall I am meh to it, the season does have potential. THE GOOD The one thing I noticed from the trailer was the fact that yes...without the Locken (hehe) there for them attack...I mean bounce off of...like the BH girls sans LVP the girls have to step up their game. And also with LVP gone, the girls did start last season trying to snatch the crown for Queen Bee. And there's hints of that for the Dallas girls as well. LeeAnne was the Queen and with her gone, they definitely are trying to establish a Queen Bee. D'Andra thinks it's her, but look at her already trying to throw Kary under the bus. Then you see Kary trying to do to Asian Kenya what she did with the Locken...and Asian Kenya...ain't biting. Asian Kenya is going for it. Meanwhile, we still have Jen (not in the trailer) waiting in the wings as well. Who will get the crown? Hmmm....MAMA DEE. I admit the energy is not bad in the trailer at all. And like @Chris B said...Jen is nowhere in the trailer. I am curious what she did to make her go from new Housewife to Friend. And she is definitely in on the drama. I mean she got into it with everyone, too I think. Means that they are not showing everything in the trailer and I hope it stays that way in a GOOD way. After all, Season 4 did not have LeeAnne's comments in the first trailer either. THE BAD While on one hand they took a different approach with Co-Vid, I worry that given what I've seen out of Texas and what pictures I've seen, they are not taking it seriously. But again, I don't think anyone caught it during filming so perhaps they did. Sorry. Step and Trav for me. Over. Which is sad. I was already over Stephanie since she was after all exposed as two faced though her personal experience made me still admire her, but Trav's online presence this year has made me turn off to the couple. And I sadly have found myself unable to unsee it. Brandi using the suicide bait. I hope when that airs she is dragged within an inch of her life. I remember how that went down in real time during the Season Four reunion and I call BS on that. Sorry, not sorry. You messed up. You didn't own it. You ran. Then you went on tour, Step, and Leeanne-Lite and not only kept making light of it, but drag Cary into the drama as a deflect. No, Bitch. You are just trying to save your image. And it is disgusting that Bravo also did not *AdrienneMaloof*show you the door*AdrienneMaloof*. So I guess...I'm here for Asian Kenya, Kameron, any Cary sightings, and the downfall of those Texan witches. I gladly own that. But I said that post-Season Four Reunion. So I guess hate-watching...? OH and also @Cat... hahahahahaha at the LeeAnne...I mean D'Andra New Face shade.

  23. Awww Sending you hugs that world as well.
  24. POTOMAC I'll say this much (since I missed most of it)...it was recurring character night!!! it's great to see Kai again and that was probably the most real Gizelle has ever been. And even better...nice to see Matt. hehe. And Monique on WWHL looking fierce.
  25. I haven't yet, but I've been curious about it. So you liked it?
