@victoria foxton well I know that the actor in RL had personal tragedy hit as filming started. So a quick write-off was needed. However, a lot of the audience appeared to have missed it and then Damon is dead vs he left. Still...I am finger crossing he shows up next week. Hehe...I said the same thing about Cubby. That could see as forced. Or they might at have been close at the start of Season 2 when he and Lemar was part of Blanca's house. So...maybe. Same about Lemar. It was very much like how it seem liked how Elektra was written last season. Foe? Friend? Frienemy? He sound like he is sharing that fate. At least, the writers referenced it in the guys' scene when Papi was worried about Pray Tell and Lemar in the same room. And Pray Tell made a quip. Yeah, 'I Swear' will go down as one of the best moments on this show. And yaaassss to Ms. Orlando. LOVE.

Yeah, I'm been curious about some storylines (like Imani for example) but worried about others (Chelesa). And haha. I knew you might say that. re: Sheila.

MS. ORLANDO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!! But seriously, I feel two ways now that I've sat with it a while this morning. Hiissss at my tv system going out last night. On one hand, this was a great episode. SPOILER ALERT: the wedding does happen!!! And it was beautiful. All those wedding gowns. The cameos!!! Candy's was awesome! And Cubby!I It was nice to see a little bit of Angel's life. And this episode (90 minutes!!!) really focused on her and Papi. I felt like I was living with them. And I loved Papi's talk to Esteban about what a REAL man is. Well, darn I loved Esteban period. He was such an adorable kid...just like his Papi. Angel has had drama. And she has had her anxiety. But I just felt like one has to go back to Season 1 to get into some of what was touched on in this episode last night. She really has come a long way. And yes, I wanted to shake her at the beginning for not accepting Esteban. I was heated. It is not the child's fault. And it was before you. Get yourself together. But again, we got to meet her father. We got to see her nightmare about going to get the marriage license. We got to see her frustration babysitting. It was all so human...but I admit...relateable. It reminded me of a Mexican cook I loved who I discovered had 3 kids. I was taken aback. But...if you are going to love the person and be part of their world, you have to accept everything about them. So...I did. Sadly, not a happy ending. As POSE proved throughout its run, sexuality can be as complicated as it can be simple. There were a lot of little moments I liked. Blanca with her man. The Something Blue...hehe. Lulu's storyline touched on. Seeing all of the ballroom at the wedding. 'I Swear.' (my former boss and I were just talking about that song last week as an old 90s hit). The threads starting off the end of the show...Ricky's audition/new job, Pray Tell entering his final phase, the AIDS quilt. BUT on the other hand, seeing the episode as a whole with the season...I am worrying about next week. Good news, it should be a 90 minute episode. But one of my fears has been the feeling of the writers rushing. And I have seen very little of that BUT it was clear in this episode. Angel's feelings over Esteban felt like it was resolved a little too early. Now that we are at the end, Lulu's storyline definitely felt rushed or mostly in the background which is disappointing because I thought it was building to something else. It really does not seem like Pray Tell and Ricky are getting back together. So...is Damon coming back? And most importantly...I don't want it to end.

Great minds. I haven't gotten to last week yet, but I feel I am going to feel this month is a C compared to February's B. That reminds me of your post about Y&R/B&B and how DAYS and GH at least have villains that can drive story if need be. Perhaps what the Bell soaps need...is a...dare I say it...Sheila?

And I still look forward to reading all your comments. I agree with everything you said about Liz here and in your other post. Other than Laura, she is the big legacy character and there is so much they could use her for other than propping other people. As a uberLiz fan, I've been enjoying her as Mama Bear as well. But she could be doing so much more than this. I like Finn is leaning on her, but I do not want anything beyond friendship there. As for Jason/Britt, I have to give credit where credit's due. They were a slow burn. A happy accident even when she came back with those hot bangs of hers. They had scenes having to do with Cyrus. And there seem to be a spark. Then they went off to other stories. A scene every few weeks. And then...the storylines converged and it's been building for me every scene. I think I even squealed when I found out she would be his doctor when he got to the hospital. And it looks like I got more things to like coming as I am on 5-20. Sam/Dante felt like they were trying to force it. Then they stopped. Then they tried again. It was like the writers were trying to find the right rhythm...and couldn't. Right to the point where they fell off the backburner. lol. Though they had storylines going on...not with each other. I don't think it is a coincidence that the last hmmmm nine months of spoilers in magazines kept saying Sam/Dante would be in some investigation, but they did not get to said investigation until this month on screen. Finally, I do feel the writers found the right rhythm for them the day that Olivia and Dante were with Maxie. Sam knocked and Dante opened the door. He had that cute smile...something he had not had in a while. And it was a perfect meet-cute. And I feel they had a good slow burn finally since. And now we have that investigation.

5-20 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! I KNOW DANTE DID NOT JUST TOSS THIS WHEEL INTO SAM'S APARTMENT. 'Look familiar?' I HOLLERED!!! Awwww at TJ/Shawn together. Could they be setting up a redemptive arc for Alexis? I would be down with her pulling a prison lawyer thing. And I forgot to mention it but I enjoyed the Ava vs Carly scene the other day. I am wondering for the second time if it is foreshadowing what will be Carly's undoing in this Cyrus fight...not letting Ava help. Ava will only do her own thing. Carly will keep her plan in motion and what if their plans cancel each other out and someone they care about gets hurt in the process? Nikolas? Jason? A returned Spencer?

Well, it's that time again!!! How would you grade Y&R, DAYS, B&B, and GH for May Sweeps this year? A B C D F SHADY GRADE/GIF? I feel like GH is cuising toward a C...and that could change. (An aside...I never gave GH a February Sweeps grade which was a B for me. Originally the first week of March was the end of February, but well a censored name here had a trial. I felt GH built up the drama and the double wedding perfectly. Now the fallout... ). This month it has been enjoyable, but not as focused (so far) as February.

Hehe. You sound like how I feel sometimes on other threads. Totally understand. And yes, I still think if Lucas still used his Kate roots (aka his schemer past) he might have more of a chance. But I see your points on how people pivot to other people for Sami at times.

And all of these comments are showing what I said. Loving that love or hate how it affected PC, Caleb still gets some love over all those other characters. And yes, I too am a big OLTL fan as well, but that does not take away from the perspective what has come before and the writing for RH and ME in connection to GH vets. Another layer to why seeing something of interest being written (and acted) with a major GH character (and the actor being engaged for a change over years of phoning it in at times) stands out even more. But moving on... 5-19 Ugh! I should have seen that coming. Watching the Finn/Chase scenes and ugh! Michael offering to take Chase home. If only. ;D But given he was just discussing his insecurities with Willow...yeah...not a good idea. Just trouble. That said...I've been loving all the people moving into the Q mansion right now!!! Monica sightings! Valentin rocking some nice Post-qurantine bod. Comedy again! I've been enjoying it. Loving at the summer spoilers, I wonder if it is setting up something for the Qs...ever how it keeps being mentioning there are not a lot of Quartermaines in the house. I also love how they have been doing the lead-up to the Sean episode. There has been hints as the other stories have been going. But now they are doing the slowly letting the town know thing. I like it though I feel like it is not as organic as I would like and I expect it to take over the rest of the week now that I am on Wednesday. Jason/Britt continue to be LOVE. All of it seems so well paced still, organic, and as someone mentioned very classic soap. I am surprised so far that Cyrus has not tried to send some men after them. That element of danger that has been missing since the drama at the hospital. CORINTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was not a big fan of LOVING...I was too young to appreciate it outside of Tyler and Buck, Tess, and Steffy and Coop and I loved the CITY...but I continue to love when ABC references it. One of these days I really want to go back and watch it. What clips I've seen make me want to know more. I continue to love Carly being written as Carly. But I think it is time for Laura to be back in the mix.

You remember correctly. From where I'm viewing, I would prefer THAT Summer versus current Summer.

Yeah I feel that it has more to do with RH the actor versus RH the person as well. That and the fact that he is on a new character. And are we to shame a man who is in his 50s that has managed to have a fit body ready...and apparently willing...to bear in a love scene...a soap's bread and butter? Personally, I am impressed that it sounds likes SB has been into the scene since he has not be for love scenes in a long time and the best I feel Jason has looked was back in the late 90s, early 20s with the wavy hair during the start of Liason. As a gym rat I am going to admire his physique and yeah drool a bit lol...soomething I don't often do for SB. lol. But there's a lot of things going on with SB and Jason that has been enjoyable to watch as of late...which a lot of posters have mentioned. The flip side of that of course has been there's been a lot to say about RH and Franco/Todd/FakeDrew/Whoever that will immediately put a bad taste in people's mouth. So there's a reason why people are groaning at yet another character...especially since a lot of the other characters and the writing for them have been lackluster. And on another note, usually a lot of actors young and old are given notice about when they are to be bare. And I am sure some actors definitely have the power to veto that. So I guess I would find it odd that if an actor has no choice that they might want to 'get ready' just in case some online person(s) want to pick on them. SM sadly has made that waaaay too easy to do.

BH I second @Cat. I hate to admit it, but that was a pretty good episode. Perhaps it was because I was dealing with some unexpected personal stuff, but it was the perfect escape. And yes, I said it. 😜 Kathy and Garcelle were a relevation this season. How funny since last season people were all over Garcelle not being there. And now that she is there, people apparently are trying to use her as a scapegoat online. Uhhhh...no, Hun. She has been refreshing as she keeps it real. Same for Kathy who has also been a strong hurricane of fresh air. Even Crystal is bringing it. There were so many elements going on. And who would have thought that was even possible with BH??? Meanwhile, the mystery with Erika (and the shade that Production continues to throw at her...geee...who did she PO?) continued. Yesterday, I posted a light bit of BH tea. And now that I've seen the scene in question....D'oh!!! Well that was stupid of her. So she might have worn a wire? In connection to Tom and at the time before his lawsuit? Things to make you go hmmmm... GARCELLE. Let me talk about Queen Number 1. She was EVERYTHING this week again. Every style. Every words that came out of her mouth (and every bit of shade she threw). Every moment she gave. Garcelle's sitdown with Kyle. Garcelle running for the second floor with her bags to the second floor (GIF PLEASE!!!! cuz I rewinded and hollered). Garcelle vs Ex Soap Opera Star. And what makes her so awesome is the fact that she...KEEPS...IT...REAL. She stays completely transparent to the audience as she stands in her truth. It seems clear to me that again...forewarned (thank you, Ex Soap Opera Star) has meant forearmed and Garcelle is playing this game extremely well. Gathering the ladies together (and keeping that heel on Ex Soap Opera Star's neck) while also educating the world about micro aggressions and why that is wrong. And she is on the right page given how online people have been triggered by her sitdown with Kyle just as much as they were with Crystal vs Sutton. Who's boring now? KYLE. Wow. She was actually LISTENING. It was the running joke last season how she always interrupts others when they are trying to make a point and making it about her. So it was nice to see her sit there and listen. And getting her point across even if she was wrong at the time. And just in case she wanted to sniped Garcelle from the side...Garcelle had her abili (charity went looking for her at the wrong address) ready. Bobby Fischer who? So...Garcelle 1, Kyle 0. DORIT. She was not there really EXCEPT for the humor. And nothing wrong with comic relief. And I look forward to next week with her and Kathy. That clip I posted was hilarious. EX SOAP OPERA STAR. And in that moment...she lost another friend. Garcelle might have been on the fence and been won over. But after last night in Ex Soap Opera Star's bedroom, no wonder Garcelle STILL has not followed her again versus following Kyle again. And I still see she is obsessed with Denise as well. Yeah...NO. CRYSTAL. Hmmmmm...I'm intrigued. RIch husband. Interesting family and maid. Brother who is a pop star on the other side of the world. But...she's hints at a little more. A snob. Is she just being shady to be shady or because she thinks she's above everyone? Time will tell. But there is another thing she hints at...being a bitca. I liked the directness she had with Sutton. I agree with what someone else said online when she said she seem to sense Sutton was about to put her foot in her mouth and tried to save her actually, but alas...lol. She has the potential to be the new ice bitca since the old one is on her way out...hopefully. Speaking of... ERIKA. Why throw that into the conversation game and not answer. You do know that the FBI would see this. And Production could potentially shade you to the point that you should not be on there at all. Because from where I'm sitting, Production is throwing her under the bus...and I'm here for that. Moreso because she is making it worse. And don't think I didn't see her looking down at that telephone moment. The plot thickens... SUTTON. Benefit of the doubt. Why? Personally I felt that what she 'was not going to do' was having Kyle and Crystal talk bad about Garcelle. Sadly, she was drunk and definitely could not use her words right. Something that Crystal also caught on to. Sadly, Sutton did have a moment when she should have shut up. Since her and Garcelle are good friends OFF CAMERA, I am more likely to believe that is what she was doing. Moreso since Garcelle and Sutton even now are still talking and close and if there is one thing Garcelle does not do is being with bs. Also Sutton apparently released a statement online that is sincere vs when other people get caught in their words and double down *cough*kellydodd*cough* Now once I see ALL of the conversation, I might feel differently, but until then, this is my stance. KATHY. And now we end with Queen Number 2. And WOW!!!! She is definitely related to Kim. LOL!!! That said, Kathy has been kooky fun and I am here for kooky fun money!!!! And who didn't like at her not getting the game right...or the now running joke of her mistaking Garcelle for Kyle. And next week...darrrrrrn that girl can drink, shutting Erika all the way up. LOVE.
