Yeah, BTG as of late does feel like it is having problems with momentum. I still enjoy watching it (and rewatching it), but it would be nice if it would get back to one event a week. Or like I said...if they would focus on one of their A stories with stories around it like it did at the start, it would be doing better I feel. Right now, it just feels like scenes with no connectivity. It was part of the reason that I loved the start of Winterfest because it started to tie scenes and storylines together again. And then it started to get momentum. I was so disappointed that the momentum got lost in the middle of November. It appeared it has been picking up again, but I hope they will do better. Next week is reading good so fingers crossed. Same. Something I never thought I would say about GH. lol. In their second year, the writers appear to have found a way (even with their writing tics) to manage to keep momentum while shifting from storylines to storylines. I even mentioned last month in the thread that it really feels like they are telling a giant umbrella story because right now so many of their storylines move and have the ability to affect the other storylines going on parallel to it at the same time. And that's high praise for those writers coming from me. Looking forward to binging a little bit later on. Awww. Hopefully good week this coming week. :)

12-1 Linear notes... The bubbles and onions were bubbling and onioning...hehe. And I really love how Timon looked in that shirt...and he was in it most of the week so mmm. I said it the first time when I watched it that I felt like Monday was going to be a good episode with rewatch value. And it came across even better. I know from glancing through that a few of you like Christopher Dunn, but he's been my less favorite of the breakdown writers. So I'm surprised how much this episode just flows and how much I like it. I think for me it was just the stories involved. I'm always here for Vernon/BIll scenes. The follow-through on the Dark Derek storyline and him finally getting to read Ashley down. Seeing the POTOMAC girls gave me Dani/Vanessa scenes. And of course Smitty vs Joey. I can't believe that this beat is being played with Joey and Martin. So I continue to feel that the Martin's Secret storyline is still in play.

RHOP Now...that I have wiggle room...the Monique of it all! Production knew we were waiting and hoping for the day that Monique came back in some form. The vet that went out guns blazing who had THE rivalry with Gizelle. A rivalry that was long, hard, and vicious. She's second only to Karen in a rivalry with Gizelle that gave a true (but not toxic) housewife battle. So finding out she was returning made fans excited. So of course, Production teased it all the way out for weeks. From the start of the trip...and some people thought she was popping up next episode and ignored it was a FLASHFORWARD. To the episode that I am going to talk about now. Like Production, I'm going to be a tease, too. lol. It was nice to see her finally since so much was set up with her. The link with Stacey about Chris Samuels which was THE storyline so far this season. Not to mention where she stood with Gizelle due to what I said above. So far, we don't get to that until the end with a TO BE CONTINUED. Cuz Production will milk it. That said...I thought the episode was good. It was a typical GOOD Housewives episode with us getting individual scenes as we built up to the World Pride event and Monique's return. I thought it was fun, easy, and breezy like the best RHOM episodes. This show is having such a great season. GIZELLE. She really is having a good season, ain't she? I really cannot believe that she circled back to the drama surrounding her father's will. I was interested in it last season and was surprised that it had been not mentioned much. And I'm also surprised no one has dug it up on the fandom. So good to see more of it. It goes without saying that building up to her and Monique face-to-face was good to watch. And we...got a hug? Okkkk. hehe. WENDY. I really can't decide if Production is on her side or not so it's interesting to watch. When it was Robyn Juan's Roommate, you could feel and see the shade with Production. I feel they respect Wendy, but they don't seem to be covering for her, either. So...hmmm. Still having a great season, but just saying. And her confronting Stacey over the cannabis business name was hilarious. And I hollered at her shade at Ashley cuz yes...the gays do deserve better than her singing voice. ASHLEY. The perfect person to reintroduce Monique since they are friends in real life. And that the show got to it quickly (along with montages throughout) was well-done. Cuz if anyone is going to ask questions...friend or not...as the audience's proxy, it will be Ash. Overall, I like how Monique was giving Dr. Nicole as a FOH over on RHOM. STACEY. And STILL...she rises. She was great at her photoshoot. She was great at her brunch with Wendy where she got confronted by her over the business. I'm surprised the two of them are so good as friends given that Wendy has gotten close to Gizelle and it's been Gizelle vs Stacey for a good part of the season. KEIARNA. I continue to be surprised she got Greg to film. TIA. She continues to be a masterclass on how a new housewife should move. And her family scenes this episode were good. Her dynamic with her kids is just full of content cuz why is her daughter calling the police on kids she don't! lol. I can't. ANGEL. Can we switch her out for her sister? Cuz in that one scene, her sister acted like she could hold her own better and read some of the ladies down? lol. Angel continued to just come across bad. Cuz why did she say 'those women?' Why can't you say it to their faces? JS. SIDENOTE...given the build to Jassi's wedding...I'm surprised that it came and went soooo quickly. Edited down? So...Monique is finally back...and so far it was done beautifully.

God, bless Monica. How I miss her. I'll be right beside you. Well, once I catch up. lol. I can totally see Heather doing that. Look at how she has done Jen Shah. And from where I stopped watching this season, she was clearly setting up for Lisa to have another fall.

Good interview!!! I do think it's cute that Kial is the father of boys when GV himself is a father of boys.

The Articulate story. A beginning, middle, AND an end. I said it has been the only story on this show so far that has had that and tied up with a bow,too IMHO. And I still stand by that. That it has ripples in the form of SPS being Barbara's daughter and we still see the characters is typical soap. But the initial story...outside of a few problems with the rotation of stories at the start...did have a payoff.

Yeah, I agree with others who said it on Friday. The NEXT WEEK promo really did not look like much. Especially giving the buildup to Winterfest. Thankfully, the week synopsis looks great...I know someone is going to have to come get his girl. ;) Also like seeing the potential in Marcel and Silk Press Sheila. Loved it from him checking her out months ago. Now let me get my rewatch on. hehe.

To be fair...the anniversary party was hyped, too, and that was 3 days worth of episodes, not including aftermath episodes I believe.

Cuz you know I had to squeeze in some viewing between work so let me get this off my chest... TRACY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Look at those anvils!!! Devon and the weather deal with Barbara! Laura's very presence and now Anita bringing up (recapping really) the fact that Kat and Jacob had gone after SPS. Who is about to have total recall on that crazy heffa??? Dunn isn't my favorite breakdown writer, but this episode has a nice build that reminds me of the build for the anniversary party. Love seeing all the recurring characters that I like so far. PS. TeamKat

Hehe. Okay, I remember thinking he was cute. re: Zankou. The thirst that has grown over him over the years with the fandom has been funny to see. Awww. I admit though that the show did have some good self-contains (I love the 3 Blondes one more than most, but I liked Jennifer Sky...still do-such the IT girl back then). Very with Charisma...she did so much with so little. They got sooooome traction out of Jen/Dawson. But yep. SOoooooooooo fun. I don't know which version you got, but Episode 1 of Season 5, Aubery got on that stage with the band and sang I RAN. I know the newer version does not have that scene in its entirety, but it was just soooo awesome! And she was a great counterpoint to Joey and got her to have fun, too.

Yeah, I know people seem to feel a way about Season 7, but I love arc writing and thought Season 7 had a good arc. I believe I started it live and it was out of order for me. But that was back when tv shows did reruns so I remember catching up quick and being VERY happy to hear Charisma Carpenter was recurring. hehe. Watched it in its entirety on DVD and also remember really liking it and felt it was a good ending if the show had ended there since the theme over the whole show was their lives vs their responsibilities. I also heard that about the last season. hehe. I haven't rewatched it in ages so I'm not sure how I will feel now about it. I remember liking it vaguely then. Again, watched out of order. And I don't think I watched the first half now that I think of it. As for The Creek... RE: Dawson/Jen. And anti-climatic from what I remember. hehe. I remembering hating her mugging back then since I was so used to having all the characters in an episode. I has grown on me over time. OMG YES!!! I remember in real time, the audience almost immediately LOVED Aubrey. If not, she quickly grew on folk. Perfect for the 'new characters that were accepted quickly on a show' thread. hehe.

WINTERFEST TODAY!!!!! AT LAST!!! Oh, I picked on that mid-November. You aren't alone on that. And I pointed it out right up until now.

Exactly!!! Fine piece of man. Honestly as I was playing catch-up yesterday, I wonder if the story might have been dropped with the HW transition from Guza to Thomson. When was the Madison's mother storyline started again? Cuz it looked like it was going to have a build and then we got that throwaway line about Chels and Madison off to see her mother with no fanfare.
